Chapter 801 The Awkward Atmosphere

Liu Yifeng waved his hand, "It's nothing, you guided yourself. We often overcomplicate things and trap ourselves in a rigid mindset. Once you step out, it's fine. Let's go, we're going to eat. Wanru was planning to invite you all to join."

Wu Haoyu nodded, "Okay, I'll treat. Brother Liu, you can't snatch this from me this time, or I won't know how to thank you for your guidance today."

"You're being too kind. What guidance? If you say that again, I'll get angry." With that, he stood up and walked out of the hall with Wu Haoyu, their shoulders around each other.

Xiao Li, who had been waiting outside, let out a sigh of relief when he saw Wu Haoyu emerge.

"Mr. Wu, are you feeling better?" Xiao Li asked with concern, but his gaze remained serious, completely different from how he looked when talking with Liu Yifeng.

Seeing Wu Haoyu like this, Liu Yifeng felt helpless. He was truly a straightforward man. "Let's go, Xiao Li, we'll all go eat together."

Liu Yifeng had to seize the moment to escape the awkward atmosphere. Although Xiao Li wanted to refuse, he had already walked too far, leaving Xiao Li no choice but to silently glance at Wu Haoyu.

"Let's go."

The two exchanged glances. Wu Haoyu had indeed intended to ask Xiao Li to join, but before he could figure out how to say it, Liu Yifeng had already spoken, which pleased him greatly.

Seeing Wu Haoyu nod, Xiao Li was overjoyed. He silently followed behind him, a faint smile on his lips, looking quite cheerful.

"How are you feeling? Better now?" Su Wanru greeted Wu Haoyu politely, standing up to shake his hand and asking in a formal manner.

Wu Haoyu felt a bit awkward, as he didn't want others to know about what had happened. "I'm better, thank you for your concern, Sister Wanru."

"It's really nothing. Everyone has moments when they can't think clearly. I do too. Perhaps we women are more sensitive. It's good that you've come to terms with it. If you ever feel confused or troubled in the future, you can always talk to me and Yifeng." Su Wanru noticed Wu Haoyu's awkwardness and spoke a few words to ease his discomfort.

However, Wu Haoyu didn't seem to be feeling much better, lowering his head and unsure of what to say.

Liu Yifeng, seeing Wu Haoyu's hesitation, chimed in, "Alright, let's order. Tongtong, what do you want to eat?" He finally stepped in to help him out.

Perhaps Su Wanru didn't quite understand Wu Haoyu's feelings and wanted to offer some words of encouragement. He might not have discussed such matters with many women, which is why he didn't know how to respond.

After speaking, she gave him a look that confused him greatly, but she could still sense the overall atmosphere and ultimately said nothing more.

After dinner, Liu Yifeng took Su Wanru away. If they had stayed any longer, Wu Haoyu would have been so embarrassed he'd want to crawl into a hole.

"Did I say something wrong again?" Su Wanru was a straightforward woman who spoke her mind. Moreover, she already had some reservations about Wu Haoyu due to Xiao Li's situation, and now this had made it so that they would likely never see each other again.

Liu Yifeng sighed. Just as he was about to say something, Tongtong, who had been standing nearby, cut in.

"Auntie, after you spoke, Uncle Wu had no idea how to reply. Sigh, Tongtong felt awkward just watching the atmosphere."

The little one shook his head with a disappointed look.

"Hey, little one, if you knew Auntie said something wrong, why didn't you step in to ease the tension?" Su Wanru looked at Tongtong with a smile, not seeming unhappy at all.

She simply disliked how Wu Haoyu treated Xiao Li, but she had genuinely wanted to offer him some advice today.

"Tongtong is just a child and can't get involved in adult matters. I'm only responsible for eating." He said this with a mischievous look.

Liu Yifeng looked at his son and felt that he was already telling Su Wanru what he meant through his actions. "See, even the child knows. It's best to stay out of other people's business."

Upon hearing this, Su Wanru instantly understood. It seemed she had been meddling too much and had been inconsiderate about the situation.

"Yes, Auntie, if you keep speaking so directly, you'll never find a boyfriend," Tongtong said, tilting his little head and hugging Su Wanru's neck, looking as if he was genuinely worried about her.

Hearing Tongtong say this, Su Wanru became even happier and laughed heartily. "Thank you so much, my Tongtong. If Auntie can't find a boyfriend, will Tongtong be willing to support Auntie?"

She was touched by Tongtong's words, but seeing him grow up healthy and happy was enough for her. As for her own matters, she didn't care much.

"Of course, I will! Tongtong will definitely support you. But Tongtong hopes Auntie can be happy too." He then affectionately kissed Su Wanru on the cheek, making her feel incredibly pleased.

When they returned home, Tongtong fell asleep, perhaps from spending too much time out. Fortunately, Liu Chunsheng was not home, as Liu Yifeng felt he would have lectured them if he had been.

It was another workday, and Liu Yifeng woke up exceptionally early. Since there were no urgent matters at the company, he decided to take Tongtong to school.

However, on his way to the office, he received a call from Su Wanru, saying there was a problem and all their fruits had spoiled overnight.

This was indeed a tricky situation, so he informed Lu Fei and went to Su Wanru's place.

"What are we going to do? We promised five businesses delivery today! They won't accept a last-minute cancellation!"

When Su Wanru saw Liu Yifeng, she anxiously explained the current situation, hoping he might have a solution.

"This doesn't look like natural spoilage. It looks more like it was done deliberately," Liu Yifeng said, observing the rotten fruits. They were spoiled so uniformly that it was clear someone had intentionally done this.

Su Wanru frowned. She hadn't realized it until Liu Yifeng mentioned it, and now she found it strange.

"You're right. I checked on Friday, and there were absolutely no issues. For so many to have spoiled in just two days is quite peculiar." She then checked the temperature in the greenhouse, which was also normal.
