Chapter 215: Chapter 215: I Am Your Second Aunt
After returning from Ye Zi’an’s house, it turned out that it was the people delivering seafood.
The ones delivering seafood were none other than the young couple that she first met when she went to town to buy crabs.
This time, they brought two boxes of large crabs, four boxes of small crabs, and two boxes of large shrimp for Yang Chuxia. However, she still felt that it was not enough. The drunken crab would have to be sold until around next May, and there were less than a hundred jars to be marinated in these days.
So Yang Chuxia talked to the couple about helping her get more fresh crabs, and the couple agreed since she was buying more and more.
When the couple left, Yang Chuxia began to prepare the saltwater, and Ye Zi’an came to help.
"Brother An, I think the cellar I dug isn’t big enough. I need to dig another one," said Yang Chuxia while marinating the drunken crab.
Ye Zi’an thought about the conversation between Yang Chuxia and Shopkeeper Li last time and said, "Let’s dig another one then. Shopkeeper Li has a large demand. He needs dozens of jars a month, and there are still seven months until next May. Hundreds of jars won’t fit in your current cellar."
"Alright, I’ll find someone to do it in a few days."
Ye Zi’an sealed the jar in his hand and asked, thinking about the crab storage time, "Xiaxia, have you figured out a way to extend the storage time of drunken crab? Winter is coming, and the cold weather will help preserve them longer, but once spring comes, even the cellar won’t be able to keep them fresh."
Yang Chuxia nodded, "I’m working on it, and it’s almost done." These nights, when it was quiet, she had been thinking about making ice. After one or two more experiments, she should be able to do it.
"What method did you come up with?" Ye Zi’an was a little curious, wondering if she had thought of something new.
Yang Chuxia smiled mysteriously, "I won’t say yet, but when the time comes, it will surprise you."
"Alright, I’ll look forward to it then," Ye Zi’an said with a smile. "By the way, Xiaxia, don’t dig the cellar too deep this time. If it’s too deep, it might keep the heat in during the winter instead."
"Okay, I’ll remember that."
"Is anyone home?" Just as they finished putting the drunken crab and shrimp in the cellar, they heard knocking on the door.
Seemingly not getting a response, the knocking became louder.
"Is anyone home?"
Yang Chuxia heard a woman’s voice and wondered who it could be. She had closed the door while dealing with the drunken crab earlier and now went to open it when she heard the knocking.
"Oh, little girl, you finally opened the door. I thought your family became rich and forgot about your poor relatives," said a slightly harsh voice as Yang Chuxia opened the door.
Yang Chuxia glanced at the woman speaking. She was in her thirties, with a somewhat harsh-looking face.
"What nonsense are you talking about? You don’t know how to keep your mouth shut," snapped another voice from behind the woman before Yang Chuxia could speak.
Yang Chuxia looked over and saw an old lady about the same age as Old Lady Hua, accompanied by three girls and a middle-aged man driving a cart with an ox.
"What brings you here?" asked Yang Chuxia in confusion.
"So you’re Xiaxia." As soon as Yang Chuxia spoke, the woman eagerly said, "Oh, so you don’t recognize your relatives now. I’m your second aunt, and you don’t even remember me."
