Chapter 193: Chapter 193: He Truly Cares About You
It’s Ivy Kensington and Ronnie.
"Grandma, were you bullied?"
Ronnie hopped over, anxiously running to June Keane’s side, circling her and checking her over.
Seeing June Keane looking well, he finally breathed a sigh of relief, "Luckily grandma’s alright, or else the bad guys would have to taste Ronnie’s fist."
Ronnie shook his tiny fist in the direction of where Arthur Blackwood and Jocelyn Judson were earlier, demonstrating with a few pretend punches.
This scene made June Keane laugh out loud.
"Oh, my little darling, you really worry grandma to death."
Ivy also walked over, "Aunt June, nothing major happened, right?"
She originally didn’t want to come back, but upon hearing that June Keane had trouble, she couldn’t rest easy and rushed over from the hospital.
Hearing this, June Keane quickly said, "What Aunt June, you should call me mom, otherwise I’ll get upset."
Ivy was taken aback.
By logic, June Keane should know about the child’s situation, so why still...
As if guessing what was on Ivy’s mind, June Keane said, "You and Sebastian aren’t divorced yet, you’re still part of the Blackwood family on paper, the rest we can take slowly."
June Keane knew that Ivy was a good kid.
There might be reasons behind the child’s situation.
From finding out she was pregnant until now, June Keane was the first person to believe in her, causing Ivy’s heart to ache with gratitude.
"Alright, alright, come in, I made dumplings especially today, let’s eat them before talking further."
June Keane chuckled, carrying Ronnie inside.
Ronnie clung to June Keane’s shoulder, waving happily, "Mommy, come quickly, grandma’s dumplings are delicious."
Ivy hesitated; she had originally planned just to check on June Keane and then leave...
"Do you need me to carry you in?"
Suddenly, a man’s deep voice broke through Ivy’s thoughts, she muttered, "No way."
With that, she quickly walked in.
The dumplings June Keane made had various fillings, and Ivy, who hadn’t had much morning sickness since getting pregnant, found she had a good appetite and ended up eating ten dumplings.
After eating, just as she was about to suggest leaving with Ronnie, June Keane suddenly said, "Dear daughter-in-law, I have something to discuss with you."
"Mommy, mommy, go quickly."
Ivy was still hesitating, but Ronnie was already pushing her to follow.
Ivy could only follow June Keane into her room.
June Keane’s room was very tidy, with a large photo wall being the most eye-catching feature.
June Keane said, "These photos were all taken when Sebastian and his sister were young, he didn’t like taking photos, only reluctantly taking one when his sister was with him."
Ivy couldn’t help but look.
Indeed, many photos were of Sebastian Blackwood and his sister together, yet even so, he wore a stern face, much like he does now.
"Look at this one, doesn’t it look like Ronnie?"
June Keane pointed to one photo, showing a three or four-year-old Sebastian Blackwood by the sea.
His entire body was covered in sand, likely from rolling around on the beach, and a rare smile appeared on his chubby little face, making him a spitting image of Ronnie.
"It really is."
Ivy smiled slightly.
June Keane took her hand, speaking softly, "Mom knows that what happened last time wasn’t right of Sebastian, but you can’t keep score with each other in a relationship. Sebastian has been lacking paternal love since he was young, often keeping a cold face, but I can see that his heart has you in it."
If not, he wouldn’t have come looking for her again and again.
If Sebastian Blackwood truly intended on a divorce, he had hundreds of ways to make Ivy obediently sign, yet he hadn’t done anything.
