Chapter 369: I Really Want to Bite You to Death

Chapter 369: Chapter 369: I Really Want to Bite You to Death

Who could possibly be looking for her at this hour?

Worried about the doorbell waking Ginny and Cody, Ivy Kensington slipped into her slippers and hurried downstairs.

Having learned from previous experiences, Ivy didn’t immediately open the door but first peeked through the peephole to see who was outside.

Sebastian Blackwood’s stern face appeared before her eyes.

She froze for a moment. Why was this jerk here?

The wedding failed today, and now he’s come to find her? Dream on!

Ivy snorted dismissively, pretending she hadn’t heard, and turned to walk away.

Sebastian, however, seemed to know she was inside, speaking with a cold command in his voice: "Ivy, I know you’re there. Open the door."

His tone carried a hint of authority.

Ivy: "..."

She rolled her eyes, acted as if she hadn’t heard, and continued to walk away.

But Sebastian seemed determined to challenge her; he kept pressing the doorbell until Ivy’s ears were about to explode.

That infuriating man!

Unable to stand it anymore, Ivy yanked the door open: "What are you doing here..."

She hadn’t even finished speaking before a faint scent of alcohol hit her, and the next second, Sebastian pulled her into his arms.

"Ivy, do you have no heart?"

His tone was questioning and strong.

Ivy was nearly suffocated by his grip; she looked up and vigorously hit his back.

"You bastard, jerk, let go of me..."

Sebastian stubbornly refused to release her, embracing her even more tightly as he moved them into the room, both toppling onto the sofa.

Ivy found herself pressed against him.

His powerful presence enveloped her completely, leaving Ivy momentarily dazed and unable to react.

Seizing this momentary lapse, Sebastian gripped her waist, pushing her slightly upwards and pinning her against his chest.

"Why didn’t you contact me?"

His tone was once again questioning, and Ivy snapped back to reality, cluelessly staring at him, "Why should I contact you?"

He was going to marry Nina Shaw; she wasn’t shameless enough to seek out a married man.

Her casual remark infuriated Sebastian, making him want to strangle her, but when it came to doing it, he couldn’t bring himself to go through with it.

Taking a deep breath, Sebastian let out a cold snort: "Do you even know what surprise I intended for you that day?"

Ivy blinked, surprised that he remembered. She had thought he was lying to her!

Seeing her silence, Sebastian directly said: "Cancel the engagement with Nina Shaw."

That was the surprise he originally wanted to give.

What?

Ivy couldn’t believe it. If the engagement was really canceled, how come there was a wedding today? He was deceiving her again!

Ivy wasn’t fooled, turning her face away as if she hadn’t heard.

Frustrated, Sebastian realized how little credit he had in her eyes.

His eyes darkened; he told her about how he had bet with Theodore Ford and Old Madam Blackwood, and ended with a lamenting sarcasm: "If only you had sent me a message voluntarily, the bet would have been won."

Then this wedding would never have happened.

But Ivy never sent a single message, showed no intention of reaching out to him.

The more Sebastian thought about it, the more angry he became, grabbing Ivy’s face with some harshness: "I’m really tempted to bite you."

It was amusing that Master Blackwood could say something so childish, causing Ivy to laugh out loud.

"Are you still laughing?"

Seeing her laugh so happily, Sebastian felt his anger dissipate as he flipped her, pinning her underneath him.

An ambiguous atmosphere instantly filled the air.

Suddenly, Sebastian’s fury vanished as he found Ivy’s joyful laughter incredibly endearing.

This feeling was something he never had when facing Nina Shaw.

But just then, Ivy said...
