Anistar City.
Terrance hadn’t expected Celebi to awaken in less than half a month after he set out on his journey.
Celebi waking up also meant that he and Akon were about to leave this timeline.
“Looks like I’ll have to break my promise… I won’t get to watch Ash’s Kalos League matches…”
Back in Anistar City, Terrance, Akon, and Teacher Teresa said their final farewells.
The awakened Celebi also knew what it needed to do next and hadn’t forgotten its promise with Terrance.
“This child…” Teresa looked at Celebi with mixed emotions. Because of Celebi, she had gone through so much. Even now, some moments were still deeply imprinted in her memory.
“Go back. You’ve probably been missing from that timeline for nearly a month now. Don’t let the people who care about you worry.”
Teacher Teresa looked at Terrance—this child whose growth she had witnessed every step of the way had now become an independent and capable Trainer.
With Terrance and Akon as witnesses to her existence, she had no regrets.“Teacher Teresa…” Terrance and Akon had been through many farewells. But this one might not be much different from parting through life and death.
Once they returned, they might never meet again.
“Don’t worry about me.” Teresa smiled and shook her head.
Terrance and Akon looked conflicted.
This trip to the Annapurna mountain range would be their final journey before leaving this timeline.

Future timeline, two months later.
Kanto Region, Cerulean City.
Inside a restaurant called Charm of Water, a young man with brown-colored hair in a uniform was smiling as he recommended drinks to customers. The professional smile had become fixed on his face, becoming his signature expression. In fact, this warm and approachable smile had brought many advantages to his job.
His name was Terrance, 19 years old, a waiter at a restaurant in Cerulean City.
Today, he served a special guest. Judging from her hair color and clothing, this woman probably wasn’t a local.
Her brown hair was braided and draped over her back. Her emerald-green eyes were captivating. She wore a dress with gold embroidery and shattered stained-glass patterns in shades of blue. The white tights on her legs highlighted her exceptional figure. As she slowly walked into the restaurant, the silver ring threaded through a black cord around her neck gently swayed, shimmering against her fair skin.
“Welcome.” Terrance stepped forward to greet the beautiful guest.
Teresa looked at the waiter who approached and smiled slightly. Compared to the Terrance of that timeline, this “Terrance” was already quite mature.
Due to their different experiences, the temperaments of the two Terrance were worlds apart.
The one before her was gentle and refined, with the same professional demeanor as most elite waitstaff. But the Terrance, who had already returned to his own timeline, having experienced various opportunities and challenges early on, hides a dazzling edge beneath that gentle demeanor.
“You’re Terrance, right?” Teresa asked, amused by the look of astonishment on his face.
The life paths of the two Terrance in different timelines had diverged significantly. Teresa felt responsible for all of this. Though delayed, she had finally come to the Kanto Region to find the one person she knew—whose identity had drastically changed—Terrance.
“I am. May I ask who you are…?” Looking at the beautiful woman gazing at him, “Terrance” suddenly blushed.
“Would you… be interested in becoming a Trainer?”
…
…
Kalos Region.
It had been a week since “Terrance” joined the ecological research team led by Researcher Stuart.
Teresa used the excuse of her family’s old ties with Terrance’s father to invite “Terrance” to join the ecological research team, making him her assistant.
On this day, the Lumiose Conference of the Kalos region was being held.
Teresa and Terrance arrived in Lumiose City as spectators, intending to watch the Lumiose Conference.
“Lumiose Conference is a major tournament in the Kalos region where Trainers who’ve collected eight Badges all participate. It’s similar to the Indigo Plateau Conference in the Kanto Region.”
Sitting in the audience with Terrance, Teresa began explaining to him.
“To become an outstanding Trainer, going through a League Conference is a necessary step.”
In the stands, listening to the announcer’s impassioned commentary, Terrance couldn’t help but feel a growing excitement.
The first match of the Kalos League’s Lumiose Conference!
Mega Charizard X versus Mega Charizard Y!
“That Trainer Alain is really strong!!” Terrance exclaimed in surprise as the two Charizards Mega Evolved into different forms. The black-bodied Mega Charizard X demonstrated overwhelming strength, pushing the battle to an incredibly fiery intensity!!
“That Pokémon called Greninja is also really strong. His Trainer Ash… seems to be from the same region as me.”
“What’s going on with Greninja’s transformation? Is that also Mega Evolution?”
First match, second match, third match…
One battle after another unfolded before “Terrance’s” eyes. Sitting in a League Conference and witnessing the Trainers battle firsthand for the first time, Terrance gradually became captivated by the feeling. After watching battles of one outstanding Trainer after another, his curiosity led him to ask many questions.
And Teresa, right by his side, patiently explained everything. Like that, the battles gradually approached the final showdown.
Alain vs. Ash!
Even though “Terrance” didn’t fully understand Trainers, from the previous battles he could tell these two were the strongest contestants!!
The final battle of the Kalos League – Alain vs Ash.
Terrance watched with great anticipation.
As Ash’s first Pokémon, Pikachu—a Pokémon Terrance was familiar with and not particularly rare in the Kanto region—took the field, the situation quickly spiraled out of control.
First, it defeated Alain’s Tyranitar. Then it took down his noble Metagross. Ash’s Pikachu displayed formidable strength!
“This Pikachu has been trained perfectly…” Teresa explained to Terrance in amazement.
But after that, when Ash recalled the exhausted Pikachu, and following several rounds of battle with his other Pokémon, the tide of the match gradually began to shift in Alain’s favor.
“It’s almost over. Ash has Pikachu and Greninja left, Alain still has his Charizard…” Terrance stared at the screen, heart pounding nervously. At a moment like this, even if you don’t understand a thing, you can still feel that electrifying atmosphere in your whole body!
