"Die!"
The holy-attribute sword blade, empowered by the wind element, slashed into a blur.
Chen Yu stood alone with his sword.
Facing the sea of skeleton warriors before him, he seemed to have transformed into a god of war. Wherever his sword light passed, bones collapsed to the ground.

...
Line after line of reminders appeared on his wristband's projection. The sheer number of these notifications indicated just how many skeleton warriors Chen Yu had slain.
If his opponents were living beings, they would likely have been awestruck by Chen Yu's bravery.
However—
His enemies were the undead.
They knew no pain, no fear, only fighting for their past obsessions.
This was the absolute advantage of the undead.
No matter how ferociously Chen Yu fought, no matter how chilling his aura, it did not affect these skeleton warriors in the palace.
The skeletons were unfazed, but the Lich on the throne grew fearful.
He was too fierce.
He hadn't expected this foreigner to be so savage.
Facing the surging tide of skeletons, he hadn't retreated a single step, even though he had countless opportunities to escape the palace.
He didn't take them!
He slaughtered the skeleton warriors madly, his gaze fixed on the throne.
The Lich was intimidated.
In the undead dungeon, where he, the master of necromancy, held absolute dominance, he couldn't help but wonder what would happen if Chen Yu actually killed all these skeleton warriors.
His hand gripping the staff began to tremble inexplicably.
What if his magic power was depleted?
What would happen if he could no longer summon skeletons from the depths?
"Impossible!"
The Lich roared, clenching his fist.
He was a Silver-tier mage.
His magic power was abundant.
How could he possibly lose to a foreigner who had just arrived in the dungeon?
"Kill him!"
The Lich on the throne suddenly stood up, his face contorted with rage.
*Crack!*
Almost as soon as he spoke, Chen Yu, who was locked in combat within the skeleton tide, was caught off guard and severely slashed by a skeleton warrior.
"Hmph…"
A muffled groan escaped Chen Yu's lips.
The adventurer's armor he wore was torn by the skeleton warrior's bone blade, and a wound that seemed to cut deep to the bone appeared on Chen Yu's back.
Blood.
Trickled down Chen Yu's back.
A moment of carelessness.
With a slight break in rhythm, Chen Yu, who seemed to have the advantage, found his footwork and offense instantly becoming chaotic.
*Bang!*
His sword was knocked away by a skeleton warrior.
It flew several meters.
"Servant!"
The little demon perched on Chen Yu's shoulder became anxious. She soared into the air, brandishing her trident, as if wanting to help Chen Yu slay the skeleton warriors.
"How dare you attack my servant!!!"
*Bang bang bang.*
The little demon's trident struck the skeleton warriors, but it was as effective as a tickle.
The skeleton warriors, however, noticed the little demon.
A blade was swung towards her.
"Yaa!"
As the bone blade descended towards the little demon's head, an arm suddenly appeared before her, followed by a punch that landed squarely on the skeleton warrior's head.
*Boom!!!*
Bones shattered.
That arm was Chen Yu's, and blood flowed down his arm.
"Did I scare you?" Chen Yu smiled and gently placed a finger on the little demon's forehead. "Go back to your wristband. It's dangerous here."
"Servant, you're bleeding."
The little demon's voice was choked with emotion.
"Heh, what's this?" Chen Yu glanced at the blood on his arm, then casually looked at his back. "This doesn't even compare to the nosebleed I had in the middle of the night when I secretly ate my grandpa's ginseng as a kid."
"Why… why did you save me?"
"Why wouldn't I save you? We're all from the same Teemo, aren't we?" Chen Yu smiled slightly. "Hurry back into your wristband. I could save you this time, but the next might not be so lucky."
"I..."
"Go back!"
Chen Yu hissed.
The little demon, with her lips pursed, silently retreated back into the wristband.
Seeing this,
Chen Yu seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, his left arm trembling slightly.
It really, truly hurt.
"Foreigner!" Just then, the Lich before the throne suddenly called out in a deep voice, "If you choose to leave now, I'll let you go."
"Leave?"
Chen Yu suddenly laughed, raising his bleeding arm.
"You've already injured me, so it's not a problem that 500 gold coins can solve. You don't think I *want* to leave, do you? If I really wanted to leave, I'd already be somewhere carefree, friend!"
"Staying here means only death!" the Lich retorted furiously.
"Ah..."
Chen Yu looked around.
Skeleton warriors.
Even though he had killed many, he didn't feel their numbers diminishing; if anything, they seemed to be increasing.
"See?"
The Lich stood before his high throne, spreading his arms.
"This is the undead dungeon. Here, I, as the Lich, am invincible. You can never defeat me. Now, I'm giving you another chance!"
"Invincible, truly?"
Unexpectedly, a smile flickered across Chen Yu's face.
"Are you truly invincible, friend? Why do I see a trace of fear on your face? Are you afraid your magic power can't sustain this massive summoning? Have I made you afraid?"
"You..."
The Lich, struck to the core, revealed a hint of unease in his eyes.
"Nonsense."
"Then why were you saying all that earlier?" Chen Yu spread his hands. "Do you think I *need* you to let me go? Do I need you to let me leave?"
"I haven't received compensation for my employee!"
"I haven't made you pay the price for what you did to my employee just now, nor have I made you kneel before them and apologize."
"Sincerely repent your regrets."
"Do you think I would leave?"
Standing amidst the skeleton tide, Chen Yu exuded a powerful aura. He stood proudly among the skeletons and pointed to his chest.
"From the moment I entered this palace, you were destined to die by my hand!"
"I had countless opportunities to leave on my own just now. If I had wanted to, no one could have stopped me. Do I need you to give me a chance?"
"Ridiculous!"
"I never intended to leave!"
"You injured my people, and as their leader, I must get justice for them. Otherwise… what's the point of being their leader, right?"
"Being a leader requires responsibility and courage!"
With that said, Chen Yu ripped off the sleeve of his left arm.
He wrapped it around the wound.
Holding one end with his right hand, he bit down on the other end and tied a firm knot.
He then pointed at the Lich before the throne.
"I hate gambling the most in my life, but today… I'll make an exception for you."
"Either you defeat me here."
"Or I defeat you here."
"I'm betting my life with you!"
