Roy's eyes widened in disbelief. "Half? You're aiming for half my life!"
Chen Yu was merely playing a small joke with Roy. He knew it was excessive, but what if Roy agreed? People should always try; if you don't try, there's no possibility. Only by trying is there a glimmer of hope. Chen Yu wasn't someone to stubbornly cling to his mistakes. If he didn't smooth things over, both of them would end up in an awkward situation.

Before Chen Yu could finish, Roy suddenly gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. "Fine!"
Chen Yu was stunned. He stared with wide eyes at Roy, whose arm veins seemed ready to burst. *He agreed?* He had only been trying, and Roy had just agreed. It was... great! Even if he got half the resources for free, it was still a massive gain.
Roy waved his hand grandly. "It's yours." With that, he actually put his box away and dumped the resources Chen Yu needed on the ground.
Chen Yu looked down at the resources, then back up at Roy. "Brother-in-law!" Chen Yu hugged Roy tightly, grasping his shoulders with a serious expression. "No, I can't take your resources for free."
When someone shows you respect, you should return it. Roy had been so generous; Chen Yu couldn't possibly accept the resources for nothing. "Let's just figure out the cost. You're so straightforward, I definitely won't slack off either," Chen Yu said with utmost sincerity.
"What are you saying? As your brother-in-law, what's wrong with giving you some resources? Take them!"

"Take them!"
"I said no!" Chen Yu drew out his Adventurer's Swift Sword and placed it at Roy's neck. "I must buy these resources."
This sudden display of spirit made Roy twitch the corner of his mouth. "Alright, take the sword away, and I'll calculate it for you."
"Calculate!" Chen Yu pointed the sword at the resources.
Seeing that Roy looked a bit intimidated by Chen Yu, he glanced at the sword, then back at the resources. "Obsidian generally sells for 40 copper coins in the city."
"Copper coins?" This touched upon Chen Yu's blind spot. "How much water can 40 copper coins buy?"
