Chapter 225: One Thought Opens the Sea
Chapter 225: One Thought Opens the Sea! Tear Apart ~ Form Liberation ~!
Saiki Kusuo was covered in dust. He had just finished resolving a volcanic eruption, successfully transferring the magma to outer space. He thought his work was done, but he foresaw an even more terrifying disaster.
An undersea volcano in the Atlantic Ocean was about to erupt, and this disaster was powerful enough to destroy the entire world. He was now hovering over the impending eruption site. The seemingly calm, azure sea, in his eyes, was brewing a catastrophe.
"Phew..." he let out a long breath. He couldn’t solve the current disaster. Spreading his five fingers, Saiki Kusuo prepared to rewind time once again.
"Saiki Kusuo, there’s no need to rewind time," Ren said, appearing suddenly and pressing his hand down.
Saiki Kusuo was startled for a moment but relaxed upon seeing Ren. "You triggered the [Doom Companion] here, so I came. You might not have noticed," Ren explained, then looked up at the sky.
A figure appeared high in the air, but fell straight down. Ch’en was panicking. She was a dragon, yet she couldn’t fly over the boundless ocean. Newton would have been pleased; someone was finally obeying gravity.
Ch’en didn’t even have time to struggle. She was caught by a pair of strong arms. "Tsk, this crossing place is something else. If you can’t fly or swim, you’d just drown," Ren complained as he held her.
"Thank you," Ch’en said, grateful for the rescue. She felt awkward in the princess-carry position.
"I’m Ren," he said with a soft smile.
"I’m Ch’en. You can call me Ch’en."
"Saiki Kusuo."
After their brief introductions, Ren asked, "Why don’t you come down?" Ch’en hesitated, looking at the sea below. She could swim, but she couldn’t handle such a vast body of water.
The only "sea" Ch’en had ever seen was Siesta’s artificial inland sea, which was merely the size of a lake. Most people on the continent of Terra had never seen a real ocean.
"Alright, if you want it this way, I’ll just hold you. You’re not heavy anyway," Ren said with a slight bounce. Only the two sword scabbards on his waist got in the way. Ch’en tacitly agreed.
In truth, Ren knew she wouldn’t have fallen even if she’d come down. But the mischievous Ren wouldn’t pass up an opportunity. Ch’en’s current expression of helplessness and confusion was far more appealing than her usual stern face.
Saiki Kusuo stated calmly, "I’ve already dealt with the other volcano. I can’t handle this one."
Ren nodded. "Leave it to me. This is the mission for this [Doom Companion]." He looked down, past Ch’en, at the already surging sea. The volcano was deep beneath the waves.
"How about we change positions?" Ren asked Ch’en. "It’s not convenient for me to act like this."
"Okay." Ch’en didn’t fully understand what he meant, but she knew she was hindering his movement.
After she agreed, Ren moved his left arm to support her, letting her sit on it completely. Her body was lifted higher, and she instinctively wrapped her hands around his neck to steady herself.
Ch’en’s body was stiff. The new posture was even stranger than before. It looked like Ren was holding a giant baby with one hand.
Ren freed his right hand and reminded her, "You can start a live broadcast."
"Live broadcast?" Ch’en asked, her body still rigid from her first time in such close contact with a man.
"That’s right. The Chat Group has a live broadcast function that can transmit the picture to the people in the group," Ren explained. Ch’en quickly found the function.
[Ding! Group member Ch’en has started a live broadcast!]
[Exusiai has joined the live stream!]
Everyone who joined the live stream saw a close-up of Ren’s face, with the focus repeatedly on his golden eyes.
Exusiai: "Uh... Ch’en Sir’s perspective is so strange... strangely close, huh."
Furina: "From the look of it, it seems like she’s being held."
Exusiai: "Wow! Ch’en Sir and Ren..."
Ch’en’s face immediately flushed red, whether from anger or embarrassment. "What the [Lungmen profanity] are you saying?! Didn’t you see all the water below? I [Lungmen profanity] can’t fly either!" she wrote.
Her gaze quickly shifted to the boundless, rippling ocean.
Exusiai: "So much water!"
Nami: "This is the ocean."
Vivi: "It must be. Only the ocean would be this vast and blue."
Exusiai: "So this is the sea! It’s truly beautiful!"
Furina: "Places with water always make people feel refreshed."
Nami: "That’s true. That’s the charm of the ocean."
Tendou Kisara: "So, what about the main event?! Where’s the Doomsday?"
Spirit of Time: "Oh my, I also want to see what the end of the world in the Otherworld is like."
Saiki Kusuo: "It’s at the bottom of the sea."
On the distant horizon, the sea and sky met like a natural painting. Sunlight spilled onto the sea, sparkling and glistening. Ren said nothing more. "Open!"
As he spread the five fingers of his right hand, the sky and sea trembled. A mysterious force surged from the center of the sea, causing the seawater to churn and form a giant whirlpool.
"That is..." Saiki Kusuo narrowed his eyes. He felt something controlling the water, but it was not psychokinesis.
Splash!
As the whirlpool expanded, the sea began to split down the middle. With the whirlpool as its center, the ocean opened in a straight line, perpendicular to the sky. Ch’en, leaning against Ren, widened her eyes.
A voice, as if an auditory hallucination, echoed in Ch’en’s mind: [Tear Apart ~ Form Liberation ~]
On both sides of the divide, the seawater was pushed away by a powerful force, forming two towering walls of water that reached the clouds. The height of the walls gradually increased as if they were going to tear the sky apart.
Sunlight pierced through the gaps, scattering onto the sea surface and creating beautiful light and shadow patterns. The channel between the water walls grew wider and continued to expand.
In this spectacular scene, seagulls flew up, circling the water walls and crying joyfully. Dolphins leaped out of the water, curiously observing everything.
Within a few seconds, the height of the walls stabilized, and the channel stopped expanding. Finally, the seawater returned to a state of calm.
Furina: "This, this, this! Is Ren the Hydro Archon?"
Aqua: "As the Hydro Archon, how can you be surprised by this?"
Furina: "But... but Ren isn’t the Hydro Archon!"
Saeko Busujima: "Ren’s power is far stronger than you can imagine."
Tokisaki Kurumi: "The power of the Otherworld... if it can surpass that of a Spirit..." She felt as if she had personally experienced Ren’s power during the live broadcast.
With his relaxed expression, he truly could become even stronger. If the people in the Chat Group could kill the Origin Elf...
