Ren shrugged, looking unconcerned. "Experiencing life makes life more enjoyable."
"I can’t understand the way people like you think," Kasumigaoka Utaha complained. She had such a convenient ability but didn’t use it. Her comment completely opened the floodgates of conversation. "How should I refer to people like you?" she asked, referring to people who possessed supernatural powers.
"I’m not sure about others, but I guess I could be considered a Psychic."
Kasumigaoka Utaha’s eyes lit up, and she asked the question she most wanted to ask. "Ren-kun, what were those two monsters yesterday?"
Ren glanced at her, making her jump, and she quickly said, "If you can’t say, then forget it!" She thought she had touched upon some confidentiality clause.
"It’s fine to tell you." Ren explained as they walked. "The female one was a Ghoul, a type of human-mutated monster that eats people. The male one was parasitized by a Parasite, which ate his brain and took control of his body, turning him into a man-eating monster."
"Man-eating!" Kasumigaoka Utaha covered her mouth, her face filled with lingering fear. Although she hadn’t been injured, she could imagine that after the two monsters finished fighting, they would surely have eaten her. If Ren hadn’t appeared, she would most likely be gone. Thinking of it sent a chill down her spine, and a belated fear welled up.
"Will those monsters appear again?"
Ren nodded slightly. "Ghouls are a sudden human mutation, so they will reappear. I’ve already dealt with all the Parasites, so you don’t need to worry about them."
The Parasite problem was gone, and she believed what Ren said. But Ghouls would still appear. What if she encountered them again in the future?

Hearing each of these names, Kasumigaoka Utaha’s expression became strange. "Such intimate names... it feels like they’re all girls’ names."
"Of course they’re all girls. My club doesn’t plan to recruit boys, and several of them are my girlfriends." Not only did he only recruit girls, but he only wanted beautiful girls.
