Chapter 223: Understand the Harem Club

Chapter 223: Understand the Harem Club

Chapter 223: Understand the Harem Club! A World with Full Buffs!

Ren shrugged, looking unconcerned. "Experiencing life makes life more enjoyable."

"I can’t understand the way people like you think," Kasumigaoka Utaha complained. She had such a convenient ability but didn’t use it. Her comment completely opened the floodgates of conversation. "How should I refer to people like you?" she asked, referring to people who possessed supernatural powers.

"I’m not sure about others, but I guess I could be considered a Psychic."

Kasumigaoka Utaha’s eyes lit up, and she asked the question she most wanted to ask. "Ren-kun, what were those two monsters yesterday?"

Ren glanced at her, making her jump, and she quickly said, "If you can’t say, then forget it!" She thought she had touched upon some confidentiality clause.

"It’s fine to tell you." Ren explained as they walked. "The female one was a Ghoul, a type of human-mutated monster that eats people. The male one was parasitized by a Parasite, which ate his brain and took control of his body, turning him into a man-eating monster."

"Man-eating!" Kasumigaoka Utaha covered her mouth, her face filled with lingering fear. Although she hadn’t been injured, she could imagine that after the two monsters finished fighting, they would surely have eaten her. If Ren hadn’t appeared, she would most likely be gone. Thinking of it sent a chill down her spine, and a belated fear welled up.

"Will those monsters appear again?"

Ren nodded slightly. "Ghouls are a sudden human mutation, so they will reappear. I’ve already dealt with all the Parasites, so you don’t need to worry about them."

The Parasite problem was gone, and she believed what Ren said. But Ghouls would still appear. What if she encountered them again in the future?

Noticing the turmoil in her mind, Ren comforted her. "You don’t need to worry too much about the Ghoul problem. Just try to stay in places with more people. If they’re not idiots, they shouldn’t easily make a move, unless you encounter a completely deranged lunatic."

Kasumigaoka Utaha took a deep breath to calm herself. "I understand."

After some thought, Ren also said, "If you’re interested, you can join my Supernatural Research Club."

"Supernatural Research Club?" She had never heard of this club. "Ren-kun, could you briefly introduce this club to me?" She wanted to understand the club first before deciding whether to join.

"Sure. It mainly deals with some potentially existing supernatural phenomena." Ren’s explanation was simple, direct, and easy to understand.

Kasumigaoka Utaha became even more curious. "How many people are currently in the club? Have you dealt with any supernatural incidents?"

"How many people?" Ren murmured. "Me, Yukino, Eriri, Megumi, Marin, Yumiko, Miko, Yui—a total of eight people."

Hearing each of these names, Kasumigaoka Utaha’s expression became strange. "Such intimate names... it feels like they’re all girls’ names."

"Of course they’re all girls. My club doesn’t plan to recruit boys, and several of them are my girlfriends." Not only did he only recruit girls, but he only wanted beautiful girls.

"Huh?" Kasumigaoka Utaha was completely dumbfounded, looking at Ren and seriously doubting if he was joking. Only recruit girls? And several of them were girlfriends? Do you even hear what you’re saying?

Fortunately, her psychological resilience had already risen to a new level after her worldview had collapsed once. But it still took her a while to recover. She didn’t want to deal with the girlfriend issue now, nor the issue of how several girlfriends could be together.

Kasumigaoka Utaha asked warily, "Are you sure this is a club and not a harem club? What do you mean by inviting me?"

Ren looked at Kasumigaoka Utaha, his eyes clear and completely frank. "I do have the intention of creating a harem club. As for inviting you, well, I just feel you have a connection with the Supernatural Research Club."

Initially, the Supernatural Research Club was indeed established for supernatural matters. However, Ren had already changed its positioning in his heart. Supernatural matters had turned into creating a harem club. At least Marin and Yumiko were already on his radar, and the timid Miko was also on his list of ’meat’ to consume. He was already going further and further down the path of a carnivorous scumbag. Now, another new target had appeared before him.

I’ll believe you when pigs fly! Kasumigaoka Utaha blurted out, "You just said it! A harem club and all that. Are you sure you don’t have ulterior motives for me?"

Ren blinked and sighed innocently. "Sigh, was I that obvious? Alright, I do have ulterior motives." He admitted it straightforwardly.

However, it was this straightforward attitude that made Kasumigaoka Utaha freeze on the spot. Such a direct hit, she couldn’t possibly return it.

Kasumigaoka Utaha lowered her head and fell silent. From then until they reached the train station and then the school, she remained silent. When they parted ways to go to their respective classrooms, she just said one sentence and then quickly left.

Ren scratched his head. He felt like he might have been too direct and too eager. But he didn’t regret it. At least every word he said was true. Both the club’s situation and the number of girlfriends. His own desires as well; he had made it very clear to her.

His idea was simple. Joining the club doesn’t necessarily mean becoming his girlfriend. Ultimately, it still depends on individual willingness. Moreover, he didn’t have much interaction with Kasumigaoka Utaha, so he didn’t expect her to agree directly. But if she joined the club, she would definitely have to face the public displays of affection between him and Eriri. If she couldn’t accept it, then it was better to not come, based on her own wishes.

In class, Ren was still distracted, paying attention to the Chat Group as usual. He still had a question for Tokisaki Kurumi.

Ren: "Tokisaki Kurumi, what kind of Doomsday is in your world?"

Tokisaki Kurumi: "Oh my, is it from the personal information?"

Ren: "That’s right."

Tokisaki Kurumi: "[Abnormal Doomsday (6 Stars), Uncertainty Doomsday (7 Stars)]. That’s how it’s displayed."

Momonga: "Oh ho! Another dual Doomsday, and this time it’s a combination of Abnormal and Uncertainty, and they’re both high-star Doomsdays, one six-star and one seven-star!"

Ch’en: "It also shows here for me, Future Doomsday (7 Stars). What does that mean?"

Exusiai: "Ch’en Sir, ours are the same. It means that the Terra Continent has a World Doomsday."

Ch’en: "..."

Tokisaki Kurumi: "So that means my world also has a World Doomsday."

Shinobu Kocho: "Not only does your world have a World Doomsday, but it’s a rare dual Doomsday, and it also has a special Uncertainty Doomsday."

Momonga: "All buffs are stacked."

Tokisaki Kurumi’s world’s Doomsday didn’t have a Future Doomsday. Instead, it was Abnormal and Uncertainty. This surprised Ren a bit. "However, the Doomsday probably can’t bypass the Spirits." After all, in her world, Spirits are the only special existence.
