Sour Pickled Peanuts

Chapter 1053 Exchanging Medicinal Ingredients

Although the Fangtooth Boar appeared clumsy, its charge was incredibly swift.

If struck by its two sharp tusks, even Qin Han Chu's Qi-powered shield would likely shatter instantly.

While retreating, Qin Han Chu unleashed two waves of Qi.

Normally, this Qi could cut through the hide of ferocious beasts, but it had no effect whatsoever on the Fangtooth Boar.

This demonstrated just how astonishing the Fangtooth Boar's defense was.

Seeing the Fangtooth Boar charging towards him, Qin Han Chu turned and leaped onto a large boulder.

The edges of this boulder were very smooth; it served as the Fangtooth Boar's "itch scratcher."

Upon seeing Qin Han Chu jump onto the boulder, the Fangtooth Boar slammed violently against it.

The massive boulder actually trembled from its impact.

Qin Han Chu waved his hand again, sending several more waves of Qi slicing into the Fangtooth Boar.

Although the Fangtooth Boar's fur remained intact, the force of the Qi caused it to cry out in pain.

To kill this creature, one either had to stab directly into its body with a battle saber or hit its head with an armor-piercing round.

It was impossible to kill it with Qi alone!

Qin Han Chu jumped down from the boulder, his gaze intently fixed on the Fangtooth Boar's every move.

The Fangtooth Boar roared, charging at Qin Han Chu like a small truck.

Just as the Fangtooth Boar reached him, Qin Han Chu suddenly shifted sideways.

The Fangtooth Boar was too fast to stop immediately.

During the brief moment of its imbalance, Qin Han Chu's battle saber thrust fiercely towards the Fangtooth Boar's neck.

If its major artery was severed, the Fangtooth Boar would surely die.

Qin Han Chu felt his battle saber sink into something akin to rubber, meeting significant resistance.

With a scream of pain, the injured Fangtooth Boar lunged fiercely at Qin Han Chu.

Qin Han Chu, unable to even draw his battle saber, quickly dodged.

Although the battle saber was embedded in the Fangtooth Boar's flesh, it had not yet reached the major artery.

While evading the Fangtooth Boar's charge, Qin Han Chu was also trying to find a way to sink the saber deeper.

"I have an idea."

Qin Han Chu suddenly lured the Fangtooth Boar towards the rock wall. As the Fangtooth Boar charged again, he swiftly dodged once more.

The Fangtooth Boar's agility was too poor, resulting in a one-second pause.

During this second, Qin Han Chu kicked the Fangtooth Boar.

Qin Han Chu's kick was powerful, and the Fangtooth Boar's body slammed forcefully against the rock wall.

Qin Han Chu's battle saber was positioned on the side of the rock wall.

The saber's hilt struck the rock wall, and under the force of the impact, the saber plunged deeper.

The Fangtooth Boar let out a piercing shriek, and blood gurgled out from the wound of the saber.

With this impact, the battle saber had severed the Fangtooth Boar's major artery.

Despite the severed artery, the Fangtooth Boar still ferociously pursued Qin Han Chu.

Utilizing his agility, Qin Han Chu moved to the Fangtooth Boar's flank and pulled out his battle saber.

As the saber was pulled out, blood erupted like a fountain.

Qin Han Chu stopped confronting the Fangtooth Boar and leaped onto the large boulder, waiting quietly for it to bleed to death.

Thump, thump...

Although the Fangtooth Boar was close to death, it still fiercely rammed the boulder where Qin Han Chu was perched.

Its impacts made the blood flow faster, and weakness came more quickly.

Thump!

The Fangtooth Boar finally collapsed in a pool of blood, its life nearing its end.

Even though the Fangtooth Boar was on its last breath, Qin Han Chu still did not descend.

The creature's final desperate struggle was still dangerous, and Qin Han Chu wanted to wait until it was absolutely safe.

After another five minutes, the Fangtooth Boar's pupils began to dilate, and it lay completely still.

"Forgot to bring some seasonings. I'll have to marinate it with herbs for now and make do."

Jumping down from the boulder, Qin Han Chu directly severed a whole pork leg.

Just then, the rain outside stopped.

"Gotta go get some honey."

Even though he was in the wilderness, Qin Han Chu still wanted to eat well.

He first hung the pork leg up and then left the cave to find honey and other ingredients.

About an hour later, he returned to the cave.

He wrapped the pork leg with honey, herbs, and lotus leaves, then lit a pile of firewood.

Under the roasting flame, the pork leg began to emit an alluring aroma.

Sizzle...

Grease dripped down, causing the flames to leap.

After about twenty minutes, Qin Han Chu cut off a piece of meat with his dagger.

"Mmm, tastes good."

Seeing that the pork leg was cooked, Qin Han Chu placed it on a lotus leaf and began to eat.

Rustle...

Just as Qin Han Chu was eating the roasted pork leg, heavy rain began to fall outside again.

This rain was unlikely to stop anytime soon.

With nothing else to do, Qin Han Chu marinated and roasted the remaining three pork legs.

While Qin Han Chu was roasting the meat, a gruff voice came from outside: "What a delicious roasted meat aroma! Which friend is improving their diet here?"

As soon as the voice faded, two middle-aged men in combat uniforms walked in.

Qin Han Chu popped a piece of roasted meat into his mouth and said calmly, "If you don't mind, I can give you one of the pork legs."

"Haha, thank you, young friend!"

Upon seeing Qin Han Chu, the two middle-aged men's eyes were filled with surprise.

They hadn't expected Qin Han Chu to be so young and yet dare to venture alone into the depths of the underground world.

"It still needs a bit more roasting. Please, have a seat." Qin Han Chu's tone remained calm.

The two men did not stand on ceremony, finding stones and sitting opposite Qin Han Chu.

"Young friend, have you already reached the Grandmaster realm?" the gruff man asked.

Qin Han Chu nodded: "Yes, I only recently reached the Grandmaster realm."

"Impressive. When I was your age, I had just become a Master," the other man exclaimed, "You truly possess extraordinary talent."

Qin Han Chu smiled, pointing to one of the roasted pork legs: "This one is for you. I need to save the other two for later."

"Thank you," the gruff man said without politeness, directly using his dagger to pick off the pork leg.

The other man cut a piece of meat with his dagger and put it in his mouth, praising, "Your cooking skills are excellent, young friend. This meat is very delicious when roasted."

Qin Han Chu spread lotus leaves on a stone and, while slicing the roasted meat, replied, "I'm glad you like it."

"Have you had any good hauls, young friend? We've also acquired quite a few herbs. We could exchange what we need," the gruff man said while eating the roasted meat.

Qin Han Chu's interest was piqued: "Do you have any Purple Sky Dragon Flowers?"

"We happen to have two," the other man replied, opening his tactical backpack and taking out two purple herbs.

These Purple Sky Dragon Flowers were the main ingredient for refining Fiery Flame Pills and were quite important to Qin Han Chu.

Seeing that they indeed had them, Qin Han Chu asked, "What kind of herbs are you looking for in exchange?"
