This sentence, he had said it twice today.
How could she possibly believe the words of a stranger?
Qi Mo was not someone who insisted on discussing things thoroughly with her. He simply watched her and spoke again, "So, do you have any issues with this collaboration?"
Mu Yinyin's gaze paused, and she sized him up, "Have you truly decided to collaborate with Fanxing?"
"Otherwise, why would I have asked you out?" Qi Mo raised an eyebrow, a gentlemanly smile still lingering on his lips.
Mu Yinyin's eyes flickered slightly; she remained silent.
To reassure her, Qi Mo spoke again, "The requirements I mentioned earlier are all that will be asked. There will be no further changes. Take a look, and if there are no problems, we can sign the contract at our next meeting."
Mu Yinyin looked at the man before her, a deep suspicion flashing in her eyes. She still couldn't fathom his purpose in approaching her.
Or perhaps, he had investigated and discovered she was Yama?
Otherwise, Mu Yinyin couldn't think of any other reason for this man to lower his status and proactively offer such an excellent project to her. This was a boon for Fanxing; after the collaboration, Fanxing would ascend to another level, making countless people envious.
"What is it?"
With just these two words, he studied Mu Yinyin.
Mu Yinyin shook her head, "I just can't quite figure it out. Since Young Master Qi is willing to give me this opportunity, I will naturally cherish it. Happy collaboration."
She wouldn't let go of a chance to secure benefits for the company, and this man hadn't made any additional demands. It was as if she owed him a favor. If he needed her help later, and it wasn't a major issue, she would choose to assist him.
"Okay. Our collaboration will naturally be pleasant, Ms. Yinyin."
The man's lips curved into a gentle smile, his gaze towards Mu Yinyin appearing very doting. Yet, Mu Yinyin could clearly see the utter distance in his eyes.
This point somewhat reassured her.
Mu Yinyin pursed her lips and said nothing further.
"Let's eat," the man said. The two then began eating normally, and their subsequent conversation had nothing to do with the collaboration.
He was a bit like Lu Sinian, and a bit like Fu Siye, yet not entirely like either.
What he shared with Lu Sinian was that both were very talkative and never let the atmosphere become awkward or have moments of silence. As long as he willed it, it simply wouldn't happen.
What differed from Lu Sinian was that Lu Sinian was always considerate of others, exceedingly gentlemanly.
However, this aspect of Qi Mo was somewhat similar to Fu Siye; he was cold from beginning to end. Even when he smiled, the lack of warmth in his eyes was so obvious.
And what differed from Fu Siye was that Fu Siye wouldn't smile, nor would he engage in such "smiling tiger" behavior as they did. He was thoroughly aloof from start to finish, making him seem impenetrable.
Mu Yinyin withdrew her thoughts and stopped pondering these matters. After they finished eating, they didn't linger there any longer.
Just as they stood up to leave, and Qi Mo's hand was already on the doorknob, he suddenly stopped and turned his gaze towards Mu Yinyin.
Mu Yinyin's eyes flickered slightly, and she looked at the person before her with confusion.
Immediately after, she saw a hint of a roguish smile curve the man's lips, and his magnetic voice followed, "You are not what I heard, what I imagined."
Mu Yinyin: "..."
"Young Master Qi, you are also not what I saw or heard."
Qi Mo hooked the corners of his mouth and asked with a half-smile, "Is that so? Then which do you think is better?"
Mu Yinyin raised an eyebrow and responded with great ease, "If you ask about such things, it might spoil the surprise."
Qi Mo didn't rush to open the door. Instead, he turned to face her, "Aren't such things better when you praise me, giving me more surprise?"
Mu Yinyin's mouth twitched. His narcissism was back.
However, speaking of which, he did have the qualifications for it.
Mu Yinyin pursed her lips and said with a hint of helplessness, "We should go out now."
"Mmm, if I don't get the goddess's praise today, I fear I'll be unable to walk or open doors."
He was blocking the doorway now. If he didn't move, they truly couldn't leave.
Moreover, this man was known as an expert in Taekwondo and Sanda. Ordinary people were no match for him. Mu Yinyin felt she didn't have a chance.
She pulled at her lips and said, "Mmm, Young Master Qi is excellent, caring, and willing to help the less fortunate. You are a model for us all."
Qi Mo's face seemed to darken. A hint of dangerous amusement flowed from his lips as he retorted, word by word, "Help the less fortunate?"
Seeing Mu Yinyin raise her eyebrows in silence, Qi Mo narrowed his eyes slightly. "I had no idea I was so kind."
Help the less fortunate?
No one calling him malicious was already a high compliment. He chuckled, "I didn't expect Ms. Mu to think so highly of me?"
Mu Yinyin hooked her lips, "Yes."
Qi Mo raised an eyebrow, saying no more. He turned and pressed the doorknob again, "Let's go out."
"Mmm."
The two walked out together. Mu Yinyin looked at the man's retreating back, a hint of contemplation flashing in her eyes. She had felt that when the man heard her say "help the less fortunate," he seemed not very pleased?
However, since it had already been said, there was no need to retract it, and besides, it was just a jest.
She thought they would part ways after going out without any surprises, but unexpectedly, fate had them cross paths again.
The moment they opened the elevator doors, they saw Fu Siye and Mu Teng inside. Fu Siye's sharp gaze landed directly on her, making it impossible to ignore.
Clearly, the elevator doors had just closed. If they hadn't arrived, Fu Siye would have already gone down.
And now...
Huh?
A hint of impatience flashed in Mu Yinyin's eyes. Honestly, she felt... a bit unlucky.
She always seemed to run into Fu Siye, as if everything were deliberately arranged.
She wondered how Fu Siye would perceive her as playing hard to get.
Mu Yinyin turned her head, not even wanting to cast a glance in Fu Siye's direction.
Qi Mo, however, raised an eyebrow, seemingly unaware, and asked Mu Yinyin, "In?"
Mu Yinyin snapped back to attention. She didn't speak, tightened her grip on her bag, and without looking at Fu Siye's dagger-like gaze, directly entered the elevator.
After Mu Yinyin stood firm, Qi Mo also walked in.
The elevator doors slowly closed.
The four of them remained silent.
It wasn't until they reached the first floor and the elevator doors reopened that they began to walk out.
Mu Yinyin and Qi Mo were in front, so they exited first.
Fu Siye's expression remained terribly grim. After they left, he also departed without a word, not giving Mu Yinyin even a glance.
