Chapter 689 Cooking Breakfast

Yin Xi spoke with a choked voice after a long pause. "Qin Si Ye, I know you are very sad and angry. But I truly have my reasons.

I want to sort out everything from five years ago, so we can be together cleanly..."

At this moment, Yin Xi wanted nothing more than to pour out all her thoughts. As she spoke, tears began to stream down her face uncontrollably, like a river bursting its banks.

However, the man beside her had his eyes closed, showing no reaction at all.

Yin Xi slowly sat up and leaned closer. Hearing his even breathing, she realized he had fallen asleep.

She thought, after all she had said, he hadn't heard a single word?

Yin Xi couldn't help but give a self-deprecating chuckle.

She rolled out of bed, tidied her clothes, then went into the washroom to fetch a basin of water. After wiping his face, she left the room.

The next day, Yin Xi woke up very early.

To be precise, she had barely slept all night.

While taking care of Yan Yan, she had been thinking about how to reveal the truth so that Qin Si Ye would believe her.

After quickly washing up, she went to the kitchen, wanting to personally make breakfast for the children.

She didn't know when she would have another chance.

Sister Li and the other maids had not yet woken up.

Yin Xi tied on an apron and began to work.

She planned to make several cakes for the children today.

Fortunately, the house was well-stocked with ingredients, and she had everything she needed.

An hour later, Sister Li and the others began to wake up and come downstairs.

When Sister Li entered the kitchen and saw the scene before her, her eyes widened in shock.

"Miss Yin, did you make all these?"

"Yes," Yin Xi replied with a gentle smile.

Sister Li said, "Making cakes takes a lot of time. How early did you have to wake up?"

"I couldn't sleep. So I got up and wanted to make breakfast for the children." Yin Xi lowered her head to take out another batch of freshly made cakes.

With Sister Li's help, they frosted the cakes with cream, chocolate, and jam.

Watching her movements, Sister Li said meaningfully, "Miss Yin, although your situation with the master is complicated, we all are optimistic about you.

After all, there are three adorable children. And the master has always kept you in his heart all these years.

His coldness towards you now is just that he hasn't come to terms with things yet. Once you resolve the misunderstanding, he will surely forgive you. And your family will surely live happily together."

"Thank you, Sister Li," Yin Xi said, sniffling. She turned and untied her apron, hanging it up. "I'll go upstairs to wake the children."

"Alright. Go ahead. Young Master Shuo Shuo has a Rubik's Cube class this morning, I believe." Sister Li looked at her with a gentle expression. "I'll handle things from here."

By the time Yin Xi woke the three children and brought them downstairs, Sister Li had already placed the cakes and milk on the table.

Upon seeing the cakes of various shapes and vibrant colors, the children's eyes lit up with surprise.

"Mommy, are these the breakfasts you made for us?" Chen Chen asked incredulously.

This was the first time they had ever seen their Mommy make cakes for them. Back in Country B, their great aunt would occasionally make them.

Later, after moving here, their Mommy was too busy with work to cook often. The cakes they ate were always bought by their Daddy from specialty stores.

"Yes. Don't you like them?" Yin Xi gently shifted her gaze as she placed Yan Yan on a chair.

"Of course, we like them," Yan Yan replied with a smile. "But Mommy, you've never made cakes before. When did you learn?"

"Well," Yin Xi said mysteriously, pointing to her phone on the dining table. "It taught me. Try them quickly and tell me if they're delicious, and how they compare to cakes from specialty stores."

Hearing this, the three children quickly picked up their favorite flavors and began to savor them slowly.

"Delicious. Really delicious." Shuo Shuo smacked his lips, being the first to give his verdict.

Chen Chen and Yan Yan also chimed in with their praise.

"They are truly exquisite."

"I think they taste even better than the cakes bought from specialty stores."

Yin Xi was delighted to hear this, and the words tumbled out of her mouth without thinking.

"If you like them, I'll make them for you often in the future."

Just then, Qin Si Ye, dressed neatly, descended the stairs with steady steps.
