Chapter 327 Concern

Shen Xi shyly avoided looking at him, her gaze fixed on the flashing lights outside the window. She didn't hear a single word of what Teacher Li was saying.

It wasn't until the car stopped at the kindergarten entrance and everyone began to disembark that her thoughts finally settled.

Since Yan Yan hadn't woken up, they had to wait for everyone else to get out. Qin Si Ye then picked her up, and the five of them gathered their luggage before being the last to leave the car.

After getting out, they noticed that many families had already driven away. However, Tang Feng's family was still waiting for them outside their car.

After a few more pleasantries, they parted ways.

Seeing that he was holding a child and had an injured hand, Shen Xi was determined to drive herself this time.

However, Qin Si Ye pushed her into the back seat, placed Yan Yan in her arms, and said firmly, "It's fine. I'm a grown man, this injury is nothing. I said I'd be your dedicated driver for these two weeks, and I will be."

Why was this man so stubborn?

Helpless, Shen Xi accepted his arrangement.

Not long after the car started, Qin Si Ye glanced at the rearview mirror and asked, "What do you guys want to eat? Let's go out for dinner together."

"No need," Shen Xi immediately refused. "I've already told the aunt at home that we'll eat at home."

This was K City, and there were many people who knew him. If they ran into any acquaintances outside, it might lead to more complicated explanations.

Seeing that all three children were asleep, exhausted from the day's events, Qin Si Ye didn't insist further.

Soon, the car stopped in front of Villa Number 3 in Hua Ban Li.

Qin Si Ye turned off the engine and got out, about to open the rear door to carry Yan Yan. To his surprise, Yan Yan got out by herself from inside.

The other two children also got out from the other side. Chen Chen cheerfully tilted his small face and said, "Daddy, come home for dinner with us!"

"Chen Chen," Shen Xi said sternly as she got out of the car, reminding him.

Chen Chen then realized his mistake, covered his mouth, and whispered, "Sorry, sorry, it's Uncle Qin. I'm used to calling you that all day, I slipped up."

The other two children felt a pang of disappointment upon hearing this.

Qin Si Ye's gaze also deepened, feeling as if the day had been a performance. At the moment the car stopped, everything returned to how it was before.

"Uncle Qin, let's go. Come home for dinner." The three thoughtful little ones exchanged glances, then immediately ran to Qin Si Ye, taking his arm, and headed towards the main door.

Shen Xi gave them a slight glare, slung her backpack over her shoulder, and followed behind them.

But after only a few steps, Qin Si Ye suddenly stopped, broke free from the children's grasp, and walked back. He took the backpack from her and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong? You seem a little unhappy. Don't you want me to stay for dinner?"

"How could I not? You worked so hard to help us today, I can afford one meal." Shen Xi gave him a slight smile.

Qin Si Ye's lips curved slightly, "As long as you remember that."

The five of them returned home. Seeing that the children were all grubby, Shen Xi couldn't bear it and took them upstairs to bathe. She also took the opportunity to quickly wash up in her own room.

When she went downstairs, she found that Qin Si Ye was not in the living room. She learned from Fang Sao that he had also gone home to shower and change.

Shen Xi's heart skipped a beat. Oh no, she hadn't given him any instructions earlier. She wondered if his right hand had been waterproofed. If water got into the wound, especially in this hot weather, it could easily become infected.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Shen Xi hurried over to open it. Upon seeing Qin Si Ye, she immediately took his right hand to inspect it.

"Did your hand get wet just now?"

"How could I not get water on it when I showered?" Qin Si Ye asked, seeing her worried expression, his heart filled with delight. "Are you worried about me?"

Shen Xi glared at him. "I'm worried your hand will be useless! You're a grown man, how can you have no common sense? Your hand is injured, and you don't even know to protect it."

As she spoke, she turned to get medical supplies from the backpack she had brought in earlier. She couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion. Today, she had brought these things just in case, but in the end, she and the children hadn't needed them, while Qin Si Ye had used them all.

"Didn't you say those bandages were waterproof?" Qin Si Ye followed her, trying to prove he wasn't a child with his explanation.
