Shen Xi looked down at Dai Lei. His face was flushed, and the wound on his arm, inflicted by Xie Yifei the previous night, was visibly red and swollen, with some liquid even seeping out.
Turning to the other three, she said in a low voice, "His wound is infected."
Dai Lei, lying on the ground, heard her and, with a surge of unexpected strength, sat up abruptly. He lunged forward, facing Shen Xi, and shouted hysterically, "You've locked me in here, making me wish I were dead. You might as well have killed me with a single blow."
Qin Si Ye's heart tightened. He reached out with his large hand, pulling Shen Xi closer and shielding her behind him. He then kicked Dai Lei forcefully.

After hearing her words, Dai Lei slightly raised his head, chuckled lightly, and then slumped back to the ground.
He appeared as stubborn as a dead pig unaffected by boiling water.
Everything he had gained today was from the Xia family. Even if he died, he could not reveal the name of that person.
Otherwise, he would be seen as ungrateful.
Seeing this, Jian Fan impatiently grabbed his collar, forcing him to stand against the wall, and then punched him in the abdomen several times.
