Chapter 469 Help Me

"Qin Si Ye, let go of me quickly," Shen Xi struggled.

Qin Si Ye, afraid of upsetting her further, didn't dare to be too forceful. He reluctantly loosened his grip, pulling her hand with a melancholic gaze. "You still haven't answered me. How did you end up here?"

Looking closely at the injuries on his face, Shen Xi's anger subsided a bit, and her voice softened. "How are you so capable, running away from home like this?"

Upon hearing this, Qin Si Ye looked at her, confused. "What runaway from home? I don't understand what you're saying. This is my home."

Shen Xi realized her words were inappropriate. He had merely moved from one home to another; how could it be considered running away? Her thoughts must have been led astray by Si Yue.

"Then why didn't you reply to my messages, and why didn't you answer my calls?" Shen Xi stared at him, her eyes starting to well up. After hanging up Qin Si Yue's call, she had sent him several messages, but he hadn't replied. She had called him three or four more times, but he didn't answer. At that moment, she was extremely worried, truly believing something had happened to him. She had nervously bought him some medicine from the pharmacy before rushing here. Seeing his car parked at the entrance, her suspended heart finally settled.

"I'm sorry. I made you worry," Qin Si Ye embraced her again with mixed emotions. "I had a video conference for the entire afternoon, so my phone was off and on silent. I didn't see your messages or calls."

Shen Xi sniffled softly, feeling wronged. She rested in his arms for a moment, then looked up and pointed to the plastic bag by the door. "I bought the medicine for you. Just follow the instructions. I'm leaving."

"Don't," Qin Si Ye suddenly held her hand, placing it gently on his face. "I'm injured like this, unable to work or live normally. Can't you help me recover faster?"

Her heart fluttered slightly. Shen Xi gave him a deep look, then lowered her head, remaining silent.

A slight smile touched Qin Si Ye's lips. He took her small hand and walked towards the front door of his home. At the entrance, he bent down to pick up the medicine bag from the steps, and they entered the house together.

In the living room, Qin Si Ye directly pulled her to sit on the sofa. "Xi Xi, how did you know I was here?"

Shen Xi thought for a moment and said, "Si Yue called me and said you had an argument with Grandma and ran away from home, asking me to come and check on you. You really are something, not knowing Grandma's health condition, how could you argue with her?"

"Ah? She really said that?" Qin Si Ye chuckled, knowing Si Yue was intentionally creating an opportunity for them to meet. "How could I argue with Grandma? We just had a little disagreement. She always wants me to take off my sunglasses. If I took them off, wouldn't she worry even more? And if she pressed me about who caused it, and I told her the truth, wouldn't it be more complicated? That's why I've moved out for a few days and will go back when I've fully recovered."

Hearing this, Shen Xi was touched. So, he did this to prevent the situation from escalating and to protect her. She lowered her head, opened the medicine bag, and said softly, "You should have brought medicine when you moved out. How can you get better quickly without taking medicine?"

"I left in too much of a hurry, I forgot," Qin Si Ye explained with a slight smile. Although she was gently chiding him, Qin Si Ye felt a hint of concern, and his heart felt sweet.

"Is there any water at home?" Shen Xi looked around the living room.

Qin Si Ye replied, "There's a water dispenser in the kitchen, just like when you used to live here. Nothing has changed."

Her heart stirred. Shen Xi walked into the kitchen, poured a glass of water, and placed it in front of him. She then personally opened the medicine box, took out the pills, and handed them to him.

"Take these first."

Qin Si Ye obediently took the medicine and swallowed it. He looked up and asked with a smile, "And then? What else do I need?"

"Your eyes need a hot compress. Is there hot water and a towel downstairs?" Shen Xi glanced towards the washroom. That was where Aunt Li used to work.

Qin Si Ye suddenly stood up, took her hand, and strode upstairs. "No. I have them in my bedroom."
