Chapter 9 Ensure Her Safety

As soon as the words fell, Qin Siye's face instantly turned serious. "How is it unnecessary? I think it's very necessary. The Yin family has encountered such a major incident now, and you are also homeless. As my girlfriend, Qin Siye's girlfriend, you are left to fend for yourself. Do you think Grandma will believe it?"

Hearing this, Yin Xi lowered her head and pondered, feeling that Qin Siye's words were not without reason. "Alright. I'll stay here for now. But I have a box at Aunt Yin's place. I'd like to go get it tomorrow."

"Of course. I'll arrange for someone to accompany you," Qin Siye replied readily. After a slight pause, Yin Xi bit her lip and said cautiously, "I have another request. When my father had his car accident, it involved a murder case. The other party is demanding two million, so I'll have to trouble you..."

Before she could finish, Qin Siye interjected, "Alright, I'll repay all the debts your family owes."

Indeed, rich people spoke with a different air. "Thank you!"

Yin Xi didn't hesitate any longer. She picked up the pen and signed her name on both agreements. After finishing, she handed them to Qin Siye. Once Qin Siye had signed, Yin Xi took one copy, gave him a slight nod, and turned to leave.

Just a few steps out, a deep, resonant voice suddenly came from behind. "This villa is called Xing Lan Wan. Since you're living here, if you need anything, you can always tell me. Or you can tell Butler Liu or Aunt Li."

Xing Lan Wan. What a beautiful name! It seemed this was a secluded villa. "Okay." Yin Xi turned back, gave him a bright smile, and gently opened the door to leave.

The next day, when Yin Xi went downstairs, only Aunt Li was in the living room. She had overslept again today, so Qin Siye must have already gone to work.

As soon as Aunt Li saw her, she bowed respectfully. Her attitude was clearly different from yesterday morning. "Good morning, Miss Yin!"

Frowning slightly, Yin Xi felt a bit unnatural. She guessed that Qin Siye must have told Aunt Li about their "relationship." "Aunt Li, you don't have to be so polite."

Aunt Li smiled cheerfully, turned, and brought out dishes from the kitchen, placing them before her. "Miss Yin, from now on, please consider this your own home. If you need anything, feel free to command me."

Remembering what she had said to Aunt Li the previous morning, Yin Xi felt a sense of being slapped in the face, her ears burning. "Okay. Thank you, Aunt Li!"

After finishing her meal, Yin Xi got into the car Qin Siye had specially arranged for her and headed towards Aunt Zhou's house. The driver was Butler Liu, which surprised Yin Xi. She was just going to retrieve an item; a regular driver should have been sufficient. "Butler Liu, please take me to Jing Yue residential area."

"Yes, Miss Yin." Butler Liu appeared to be in his forties, with a calm face, resolute eyes, and a sturdy build, resembling a retired soldier.

Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of the Jing Yue residential area. It was an ordinary multi-story old residential complex with a somewhat mixed population. "Building 18, Unit 2, Room 304."

Yin Xi opened WeChat, found the specific room number Aunt Zhou had left her, and said as she opened the car door, "Butler Liu, please wait for me here. I'll be right back."

However, as soon as she got out of the car, Butler Liu also stepped out. "Miss Yin, I'll accompany you inside. Sir specifically instructed me to stay by your side at all times."

Was it that exaggerated? Was Qin Siye making a mountain out of a molehill? Could there be debt collectors here? "Alright. Then I'll trouble you, Butler Liu." Not wanting to refuse such a kind gesture, Yin Xi felt she couldn't decline.

After the two entered the residential area, they quickly found Building 18. Along the way, Butler Liu kept a vigilant watch on the surroundings, never letting his guard down.

"Knock, knock!" Yin Xi carefully knocked on Aunt Zhou's door. After a while, the door was opened. The moment Aunt Zhou saw Yin Xi, tears immediately filled her eyes. "Miss, you're finally here!"

"Quick! Quick! Come in and sit!" However, upon seeing Butler Liu behind Yin Xi, she asked vigilantly, "Who is this?"

"Oh, I forgot to introduce him." Yin Xi forced a smile. "This is Butler Liu from Mr. Qin's household."

"Butler Liu, this is Aunt Li, who used to work for our Yin family."

Butler Liu gave Aunt Li a slight nod, and Aunt Li said with a smile, "Hello, Butler Liu. Please, come in and sit."

"Aunt Li, you're too kind. I'll wait outside for Miss Yin."

Seeing Butler Liu say this, Aunt Li didn't insist further. She also had many personal things she wanted to say to Yin Xi privately.

As soon as the door closed, Butler Liu made a call to Qin Siye. "Sir, we have arrived."

"What's the situation over there?" Qin Siye's deep voice came from the other end of the phone.

"It's alright. There are a few people lurking suspiciously around the complex, but they're just following from a distance and haven't gotten close to us," Butler Liu replied softly, narrowing his eyes.

Upon hearing this, Qin Siye's voice suddenly rose a few decibels. "Oh? Then I'll send more manpower over."

"No need. It's daytime, and those people probably wouldn't dare to take extreme actions," Butler Liu said calmly. Those few youngsters he saw just now, even if they came together, were probably no match for him.

"Alright. Make sure Miss Yin is safe!"

In the living room, Aunt Li held Yin Xi's hand, her eyes teary as she examined her from head to toe. She had watched Miss grow up; when had she ever endured such hardship as to lose her family and home?

At this moment, Yin Xi noticed a white bandage wrapped around Aunt Li's ankle. So she was injured, no wonder she seemed to walk a bit abnormally when Yin Xi first entered. "Aunt Li, what happened to your foot?" Yin Xi asked with a slight frown of concern.

With a soft sigh, Aunt Li recounted her experiences after parting ways with Yin Xi. Shortly after parting with her and getting into a taxi, Aunt Li noticed a black car constantly following the taxi she was in. She gestured for the driver to speed up and take a few detours, thinking she had lost the car. However, as soon as she got out of the taxi at the residential complex entrance, the taxi turned away, and the black car stopped right in front of her. Four fierce-looking men got out of the car, pushed her to the ground without any explanation, and snatched Yin Xi's box, attempting to open it for inspection. Fortunately, the box had a password, and they couldn't open it despite their efforts. Just then, someone passed by, and she shouted for help, scaring the men into a hasty retreat. Her ankle, however, had been scraped by stones on the ground, causing the injury.

"These people are truly despicable! I don't think they're debt collectors at all; they seem like a group of thugs," Yin Xi said through gritted teeth after listening to Aunt Li's story.
