Returning to the hospital, Shen Xi slowly emerged from her disappointment and sorrow.
After attending to two patients, Shen Xi received a call from Jian Fan.
"Sister Xi, Mr. Fu, who bought the Yin family villa, is very pleased with the price you offered and wants to meet with you tonight to discuss it in detail."
Hearing this, a bright spark flashed in Shen Xi's eyes. "Okay, that's fine."
Although Yin Zhe's whereabouts were currently unknown, she was determined to get the Yin family villa back.
"Alright, I'll make the arrangements," Jian Fan replied.
Shen Xi lowered her head in thought for a moment and said, "After work, I still have to do acupuncture. Jian Fan, can you pick up the children for me? Let's schedule dinner for 7:30 PM."
"No problem, I'll send you the address once it's arranged. After picking up the children, I'll head over," Jian Fan said, her gaze clear as she looked ahead.
During lunch, Qin Siyue appeared before her as usual, and they walked to the cafeteria together.
Shen Xi told her that she would be going to the Qin family's residence after work to perform acupuncture for her grandmother.
Upon hearing this, Qin Siyue was very happy.
After lunch, she conveyed this news to her grandmother and asked the kitchen to prepare a few extra dishes.
Shen Xi finished work at five o'clock. Without waiting for Qin Siyue, she went directly to the Qin family's home.
Qin Siyue didn't know she had something to do, so she let her go ahead. After all, they could still eat dinner together at home later.
Upon arriving at the Qin residence, she found only Xu Zhilan sitting on the sofa playing with building blocks.
"Xi Xi, you're here." Xu Zhilan's face lit up with a smile when she saw her.
"Grandma, I have something to do tonight, so I came early to give you acupuncture," Shen Xi said, walking over with a smile.
"I heard from Si Yue. I'm home every day anyway, so you can come anytime," Xu Zhilan said, sitting up straighter.
Shen Xi chatted with her for a few more minutes. Seeing no one else in the living room, she proceeded to administer acupuncture to her there.
Twenty minutes later, just as Shen Xi was removing the needles, Qin Siyue's voice sounded at the door: "Sister Xi, Grandma, are you finished already? It seems I've returned at just the right time, perfect for us to have dinner together."
"No, I have other matters. Please eat," Shen Xi replied, looking up and smiling at her before lowering her head to continue organizing her medical kit.
"Ah? No way, Sister Xi, I thought you could stay for dinner today and specifically asked the kitchen to cook more dishes." Qin Siyue's eyes showed disappointment.
When she left work earlier, a colleague had invited her to dinner, but she had refused outright.
"Xi Xi, it's still early. It's not too late to do your business after dinner," Xu Zhilan said, knowing she had something to attend to but also wanting to persuade her to stay for a simple meal.
Shen Xi's face showed a hint of difficulty. "Grandma, Si Yue, thank you for your sincere invitation. I am truly meeting someone tonight."
At this moment, Qin Si Ye strode in, wearing a long black trench coat.
Upon seeing him, Qin Siyue exclaimed, "Brother, you're back at the perfect time. We wanted to keep Sister Xi here for dinner, but she insisted she had something to do and wouldn't stay. Hurry up and convince her."
"Mr. Qin." Shen Xi looked up, her expression unchanged, and greeted him politely.
Seeing his travel-worn appearance, she knew he must have just returned from Country B.
He had gone to Country B to investigate the matter of "Yin Xi," and Song Kaicheng had already called her early in the morning to inform her.
Qin Si Ye nodded slightly at her but remained silent.
"Yes, Si Ye, please persuade her. Xi Xi was invited by you, and she listens to you more," Xu Zhilan also looked earnestly at Qin Si Ye.
Expecting Qin Si Ye to help them keep Shen Xi, he instead said in a calm tone, "Since Doctor Shen has other matters, you shouldn't press her."
Hearing this, Shen Xi picked up her medical kit, bid farewell to Xu Zhilan and Qin Siyue once more, and then turned to quickly walk out of the hall.
"Grandma, I also have something to attend to. I'll visit you again next time," Qin Si Ye said, taking two steps back, and also turned to leave.
