"What happened, Liqun?"
Ouyang Weizhi and his wife, Fang Wenli, who were having dinner at a four-person villa estate, asked their son, Ouyang Liqun, as he returned from another phone call with a slightly troubled expression. kanδん
Just moments before, Huang Zhiming had called again, reporting that something had happened in the United States. Brady's Thunder Strike, along with the old forces of Luo Ya from the Luo Ya drug trafficking group and Vasquez Kai from the Bass drug trafficking group, had uprooted their operations in New York City overnight. This naturally ignited Ouyang Liqun's anger, darkening his mood.
However, facing his parents, Ouyang Liqun suppressed his anger and forced a smile, shaking his head. "Dad, it's nothing. Just a minor issue with the company in the US. I've already sent people to resolve it."
Ouyang Weizhi put down his chopsticks and picked up his wine glass. Ouyang Liqun also raised his glass to clink with his father's. Ouyang Weizhi smiled and said, "Ever since you graduated and stayed in the US to start a company, I haven't interfered with your affairs. But with your grandfather retiring and preparing to pass on the position of family patriarch, you need to be more attentive."
Ouyang Liqun scoffed inwardly. Although the Ouyang family was one of the five great families in the capital, and the Ouyang Group was a first-class enterprise in China, he had no interest in such meager gains.
Compared to the Dragon Gathering Group he had established abroad, the profits and money earned from smuggling and drug trafficking far surpassed anything the Ouyang Group earned in ten years. In just four to five years, he had made more money than the entire Ouyang Group in a decade.
Yet, Ouyang Liqun could never have imagined that a single person, Wan Yunting, would completely obliterate the market he had painstakingly built over four years in just one night.
Although the foundation of the Dragon Gathering Group was not shaken, Ouyang Liqun was severely weakened, having lost the massive market of New York.
Ouyang Liqun had never taken Wan Yunting seriously.
But it was this person, whom he considered insignificant, who had caused him such a great loss. How could Ouyang Liqun not be burning with rage and want to kill at this moment?
He had underestimated Wan Yunting's destructive capabilities all along.
"Don't worry, Grandpa will pass the position of family patriarch to you."
With that, Ouyang Liqun stood up and smiled at his parents, "I have some urgent company matters to attend to. I'll head back now."
"Alright, Liqun. Drive carefully."
His mother, Fang Wenli, rose to see him off. Ouyang Weizhi, sitting at the table, happily refilled his wine glass. Watching his son leave, he chuckled, "The old man really favors this grandson..."
Ouyang Liqun drove towards Miyun. He used his Bluetooth headset to call Huang Zhiming. "What's the situation over there now?"
"Young Master Qun, the police have sealed off the Phemon Auto Junkyard. Liao Zhixian and Frank are trying to get out of the country, but Lem and Jels have been captured." Huang Zhiming, in a private residence in Miyun, reported the situation in the US to Ouyang Liqun with great anxiety. Ouyang Liqun listened with a grim and furious expression. Finally, he said, "Tell Liao Zhixian and the others to find a way back to Mexico. We'll make plans from there."
"Understood."
Huang Zhiming replied. Ouyang Liqun threw the Bluetooth headset away in anger, his expression slightly contorted, his eyes fierce. Gritting his teeth, he said coldly, "Wan Yunting, I will settle this score with you sooner or later!"

Meanwhile, at Jiang Wenhao's residence, after finishing his call with Pang Yuan, Wan Yunting made a video call to Fang Yanxi to inform her that Jiang Wenhao had been rescued. After a brief chat, he saw Jiang Wenhao being escorted out of the medical room by doctors and nurses and transferred to a room for rest.
Wan Yunting went to check on him. His external injuries had been bandaged. So, Wan Yunting wrote a prescription and instructed Lucy to go to the Chinese medicine clinic at dawn to get the herbs and decoct them for Jiang Wenhao.
When dawn broke, Wan Yunting was eating breakfast and watching the local news in the United States. The reports detailed the drug trafficking chaos from the previous night, the swift action of local authorities and police, the control of the Phemon Auto Junkyard, and the arrest of many drug traffickers.
"Teacher, it seems killing Bert last night caused this series of disturbances," Jiang Wenhao said with a smile, watching the news on the television while sitting in his wheelchair.
Wan Yunting turned his head and glanced at him. "Was it you who gave Deputy Mayor Brady the information from Bert's phone?"
"Yes."
Jiang Wenhao smiled. "I have some connection with this Brady. He's been eyeing the mayor's position for a long time but never had the chance. So, I helped him out."
Wan Yunting nodded and smiled. "The Dragon Gathering Group's forces in New York City are basically wiped out. But this loss is considered settling your score!"
Jiang Wenhao's expression froze. He turned to look at Wan Yunting and asked, "Teacher, are you really going to Mexico?"
"Yes."
Wan Yunting nodded and smiled. "But before I go, I need to visit the Dragon Domain Sports Car Club and meet that Kong Xuefeng."
"Alright, I'll have Lucy take you to his company," Jiang Wenhao said. He instructed Lucy and, along with Joe Ges and his bodyguards, headed to the bustling city center. There was a skyscraper there, the hub of New York City's business district. Kong Xuefeng owned a company here, well-known locally and even serving as the president of the local Chinese association.
Knowing Wan Yunting wanted to find Kong Xuefeng, Jiang Wenhao had Lucy make an appointment in advance. Thus, they took Wan Yunting directly into Kong Xuefeng's company and took the elevator to his office floor.
Upon exiting the elevator, Kong Xuefeng's secretary inquired. Lucy stated they had an appointment and led Wan Yunting to the door of Kong Xuefeng's office. After announcing them, she opened the door and invited Wan Yunting and Lucy in.
In this spacious office, the modern decor was filled with technology and automotive culture. The desk was the front end of a Bugatti sports car. Seated there was a handsome young man in a suit, appearing to be a career-oriented and steady man. Looking up at Wan Yunting and Lucy entering, Kong Xuefeng's eyes widened slightly. He asked in English, "Miss Lucy, who is this gentleman? Didn't you say Mr. Jiang wanted to see me?"
Regarding Jiang Wenhao, he was the pride of the Chinese on Wall Street in New York City. The Chao Ting Technology Finance Group he founded had turned the tide during several financial storms, creating a financial legend in recent years.
Although Kong Xuefeng considered himself gifted in business, he held a deep admiration for financial titans like Jiang Wenhao and had met him twice on certain occasions, though they were not close.
He had been looking forward to the appointment with Jiang Wenhao when he came to work that morning. However, what greeted him was Lucy bringing along a stranger, which confused Kong Xuefeng. But for Jiang Wenhao's secretary, Lucy, to personally bring someone, this man in front of him was likely not ordinary.
"You are Chinese, aren't you?"
Wan Yunting spoke directly in Chinese and smiled, "Let's communicate in our native tongue."
Seeing Wan Yunting approach and sit directly in front of him, Kong Xuefeng smiled and switched to Chinese, asking, "May I ask your name, sir? And why do you wish to see me?"
"My surname is Wan, and my given name is Yunting. I am like a brother to Wenhao."
Wan Yunting took out his phone and found the photo of Fang Tai, Chen Guangyang, and Bert. Looking at Kong Xuefeng, he smiled. "Today, I've come to find you in Wenhao's name to ask you something."
"Oh."
Kong Xuefeng saw that he claimed to be Jiang Wenhao's brother and that Lucy had brought him, which clearly indicated he wasn't lying. He nodded and smiled, "Mr. Wan, what is it you wish to ask me?"
Wan Yunting handed him his phone. "President Kong, please take a look at this photo. Do you know these four people?"
Kong Xuefeng took his phone and looked at the photo, smiling and nodding. "Fang Tai, Chen Guangyang, Wang Heshuo, and Huang Zhiming. I naturally know them; they are my friends. However, I heard they have all returned to China and are not here. Mr. Wan, are you looking for them?"
Wan Yunting waved his hand, shook his head, and smiled. "I'm not looking for them for now. But, President Kong, do you recognize the foreigner in the photo?"
Kong Xuefeng looked at Bert in the photo and shook his head slightly, smiling. "No, I don't."
Wan Yunting smiled. "It seems President Kong hasn't seen the local news today!"
Kong Xuefeng looked puzzled. Wan Yunting extended his hand, and Kong Xuefeng returned his phone. Wan Yunting stood up and smiled. "My apologies, President Kong, for taking up your time. I must be going now."
This made Kong Xuefeng even more confused. He stood up. Wan Yunting finished speaking and left his office with Lucy.
Whether Kong Xuefeng genuinely didn't recognize Bert or was pretending not to, Wan Yunting knew that another question wouldn't yield any useful information from him.
Either Kong Xuefeng was a member of the Dragon Gathering drug trafficking group, or he knew nothing at all.
Kong Xuefeng, who had sat down, immediately opened his computer and found today's local news. He immediately saw a news report about Bert, with a photograph. Instantly, Kong Xuefeng's eyes widened. Looking at the photograph of Bert the drug lord, he realized it was the foreign man in the photo Wan Yunting had shown him earlier.
In an instant, Kong Xuefeng's expression turned to one of shock and great alarm. He was shaken. Could it be that Fang Tai, Chen Guangyang, Wang Heshuo, and Huang Zhiming were connected to this drug lord named Bert?
Otherwise, why would this Wan Yunting inexplicably seek him out and show him that group photo? Wasn't that the implication?
At this point, Kong Xuefeng stood up. He couldn't sit still any longer. He picked up his phone and immediately left his office, asking his secretary, "Have they gone downstairs?"
The secretary nodded. Kong Xuefeng quickly hurried to press the elevator button and then called Lucy.
Lucy, following Wan Yunting, had already reached the first floor and was heading outside when she received Kong Xuefeng's call. She said, "Mr. Wan, President Kong asks us to wait for a moment!"
"Oh."
Wan Yunting smiled. It seemed this Kong Xuefeng was not one of Fang Tai's associates.
