Chapter 32 The Club Encounter!

“I told you he wouldn’t accept it.”

Jiang Yichun walked Fang Shoushan downstairs and said to him with a triumphant smile.

When Fang Shoushan had previously offered to give Wan Yunting a token of appreciation, Jiang Yichun had bet that Wan Yunting would definitely not take his money.

“Little Wan is truly remarkable. Not only is his medical skill superb, but he’s also humble, low-key, and neither servile nor overbearing. With his character, his future is boundless!” Fang Shoushan praised him wholeheartedly.

Setting aside the fact that Wan Yunting had healed his legs, his character alone was something many young people today could learn from.

“Perfect, my granddaughter who just returned from abroad doesn’t have a boyfriend yet!” Fang Shoushan’s old eyes gleamed as he hatched a plan.

“Hey, you old rascal, don’t you dare!”

Jiang Yichun glared, pointing at Fang Shoushan angrily. “My granddaughter doesn’t have a boyfriend either. Little Wan is the grandson-in-law I’ve already picked out. You’d better not try to snatch him.”

“Haha, who his grandson-in-law is, isn’t decided by you,” Fang Shoushan burst into laughter and signaled Lin Si to push his wheelchair back.

Jiang Yichun was very annoyed because he also wanted to set up Wan Yunting with his granddaughter, Jiang Tongxin.

“No, I can’t let that old man get ahead of me. I need to think of a way to create opportunities for them…” Jiang Yichun began to strategize, realizing he couldn’t delay.

Just then, Wan Yunting came downstairs. Jiang Yichun immediately went up and stopped him. “Little Wan, are you free tonight? How about coming to my house for dinner?”

Wan Yunting was taken aback, sensing something odd in the old man’s gaze. “I’m sorry, Director Jiang, I’m going out with my friends to handle some matters tonight.”

“Is that so? Then how about tomorrow night?”

Jiang Yichun was persistent. Wan Yunting thought for a moment and nodded. “Tomorrow night should be fine.”

“Great, it’s settled then. Tomorrow night, you’re coming home with me for dinner.” Jiang Yichun was delighted and hurried away, heading towards the emergency department.

Wan Yunting was puzzled, wondering what the old man was fussing about. He shook his head, not thinking much of it, and went to the entrance to wait for Jin Xiuwen to pick him up, as they had something to do tonight!

“Brother Yunting…”

A voice as melodious as a warbler called out. Wan Yunting turned and saw Su Ke’er, dressed in a blue dress, rushing towards him and directly linking her arm with his. “I’ve transferred classes! Let’s go eat together tonight.”

Wan Yunting was instantly helpless. “Can we do it another day? I’ve already made plans with someone else tonight.”

“Who? A guy or a girl?”

Su Ke’er’s large eyes widened, as if a girlfriend had caught her man misbehaving.

Immediately after, a BMW sedan drove in. It was Jin Xiuwen. As soon as he got out of the car, he saw Wan Yunting and Su Ke’er clinging to each other. He let out a “yo” and laughed, “Not bad, buddy. Only been working at the hospital for a few days and you’ve already got a girlfriend.”

“What nonsense are you talking about.”

Wan Yunting glared at him. Su Ke’er, on the other hand, was very gracious. She sized up Jin Xiuwen. “Is this your friend?”

“Hello, beautiful. I’m his good buddy from high school and college.”

Jin Xiuwen waved at Su Ke’er with a smile and winked at Wan Yunting, “Don’t be so clueless, why don’t you quickly introduce me to this stunning beauty.”

Wan Yunting sighed helplessly. “This is Dr. Su Ke’er from our emergency department.”

“Not bad, not bad. One traditional Chinese medicine doctor, one Western medicine doctor. A combination of East and West!”

Jin Xiuwen pointed at each of them with a teasing, roguish grin, which made Su Ke’er chuckle. Then he asked, “Are you guys going out for dinner?”

“Yeah, beautiful, why don’t you join us?” Jin Xiuwen invited. Su Ke’er’s large eyes lit up. “Okay.”

But Wan Yunting was anxious. He tugged Jin Xiuwen. “Didn’t you say you were taking me to see Huang Dawei tonight?”

“It won’t delay things.”

Jin Xiuwen shot him a look and pointed at Su Ke’er with a mischievous smile. “Aren’t I looking out for your lifelong happiness?”

“Haha, Ke’er, is it? Come on, let’s go have dinner first, and later we can go to Lingwei Club for drinks…”

Seeing Jin Xiuwen open the rear door and invite Su Ke’er into the car, Wan Yunting shook his head helplessly and was about to pull open the passenger door when Jin Xiuwen yelled at him, “Go sit in the back, my passenger seat is reserved for women!”

The three of them first went to a restaurant for dinner. Around nine o’clock that night, Jin Xiuwen took Wan Yunting and Su Ke’er to Lingwei Club.

“I found out that Chen Tao and Huang Dawei are meeting some second-generation rich kids here tonight, so we’ll find a chance to meet them later!” Jin Xiuwen led Wan Yunting and Su Ke’er to the second floor and chose a spot where they could observe the entire club.

Last time, Wan Yunting had asked Jin Xiuwen to inquire about Huang Dawei and Zhang Li’s recent whereabouts because he wanted to meet those two!

Su Ke’er clearly hadn’t been to such places often, but with Jin Xiuwen around, she was quickly taught how to play dice. As they played, Wan Yunting’s gaze occasionally swept across the people coming and going in the club.

Suddenly, two men and two women, a group of young people, walked towards them. They were dressed very fashionably, but compared to the other guests, they appeared very unnatural!

Especially the beauty with short, ear-length hair. She was heavily made up and wore a tight, strapless dress that perfectly accentuated her voluptuous figure. The moment she entered, she attracted countless envious glances from others, which made her expression even more unnatural, as if she was not quite accustomed to such a setting.

“It’s her!”

Wan Yunting looked in surprise at the policewoman Niu Qiuling he had met that afternoon at Elder Ma Zhendong’s house.

“Who?”

Jin Xiuwen asked curiously.

Beside him, Su Ke’er noticed that Niu Qiuling’s chest was twice as large as that of an ordinary person. She lowered her head, looked at her own, pouted her cute lips, and muttered to herself, “Mine isn’t small either…”

Niu Qiuling’s big eyes darted around, and she also saw Wan Yunting, surprised. “Why is he here too?”

“Who?”

Her companion Cao Peng asked, and they followed Niu Qiuling’s gaze towards Wan Yunting and his group.

“It’s nothing.”

Niu Qiuling quickly averted her gaze from Wan Yunting and shook her head.

Cao Peng nodded and said seriously, “Our target tonight is Chen Tao and Shen Junjie. Later, we must not overlook any details, understand?”

“Understood.”

Niu Qiuling nodded, and the four of them sat down at the table next to Wan Yunting’s.

This location also provided a good vantage point to observe every corner of the club’s main hall.

“Buddy, do you know them? Why don’t you call them over for a drink?”

Jin Xiuwen thought he knew Niu Qiuling. Wan Yunting shook his head. “I just met her once at a friend’s house this afternoon. We’re not acquainted!”

Seeing this, Jin Xiuwen dropped the matter and pulled Su Ke’er to play dice again…

Wan Yunting turned his head and glanced slightly at Niu Qiuling next door. At the same time, she also turned her head. Their eyes met for a moment before they immediately looked away, pretending not to know each other.

Before long, Chen Tao finally appeared, dressed in a blue suit, with his hair slicked back and wearing gold-rimmed glasses.

He was accompanied by a slightly overweight young man, who was Huang Dawei!

Also with them were two other young men. One, wearing a gold suit, carried an air of arrogance and was arm-in-arm with Chen Tao, looking around at the beautiful women as if searching for prey.

The other, wearing a white suit, was handsome, and his starry eyes scanned the people around them with disdain. His innate arrogance made it seem as if everyone present was beneath him; he was very haughty.

“It’s Chen Tao and Huang Dawei!”

Jin Xiuwen became excited upon seeing the two of them.

Wan Yunting narrowed his eyes, also staring at the other two young men beside Chen Tao and Huang Dawei. “Who are the other two?”

“That guy arm-in-arm with Chen Tao is named Shen Junjie. He’s the son of the chairman of Ziqiang Group, and he often comes here to party.”

Jin Xiuwen said, then pointed at the young man in the white suit. “As for this one, I don’t recognize him, but judging by his appearance, he must be another rich second-generation young master!”

Wan Yunting nodded. Regardless of who the other two were, his target tonight was Huang Dawei, and he wanted to talk to him alone!

“Are you looking for someone?”

Su Ke’er had long noticed their unusual behavior.

Wan Yunting and Jin Xiuwen turned to look at her, exchanged glances, smiled without explaining, and continued to play dice.

Chen Tao and Huang Dawei, of course, did not see Wan Yunting. They led Shen Junjie and Young Master Fang into a private room.

Suddenly, Wan Yunting turned his head towards the next table, sensing that Niu Qiuling and her group were also staring at Chen Tao and the other three!

This made him curious. Had Chen Tao committed some offense that caught the attention of Police Officer Niu Qiuling?
