Hou Jia San Shao

Chapter 86 The Saintly Duckman

The two wandered around the sub-basement area for a while. During this time, they encountered people who knew Tao Xiang. Everyone greeted Wan Yunting and even invited him to join them in taking drugs, but he skillfully evaded them all.

Beside him, Niu Qiuling, while warily observing their surroundings, secretly took out her phone to photograph the drug den. Watching these wealthy young people, one after another, high on drugs and appearing lost in a blissful daze, she couldn't understand what they were seeking.

"Seeking excitement and novelty, I suppose."

Wan Yunting habitually sniffed his nose. How could one analyze what these rich second-generation heirs desired using the same logic as ordinary people?

"Hmph, a bunch of societal dregs."

Niu Qiuling’s almond-shaped eyes widened. She considered addicts, regardless of their social status, to be societal parasites once they touched drugs.

As they spoke, Wan Yunting’s steps faltered, and he stopped at the door of a private room. Through the transparent glass, they could clearly see Zhang Yongrui, his arm around Wang Mengyao, whose face was flushed and consciousness blurred. His lecherous hands were provocatively touching her, a wicked smile plastered on his face.

Meanwhile, Liang Jun sat beside them, embracing two fiery women. The table was covered with various drug paraphernalia. Wan Yunting, watching this scene unfold from the doorway, maintained a calm expression, seemingly with no intention of intervening.

"Yongrui, give her a shot."

Liang Jun held a disposable syringe, clearly containing heroin, and gestured for Zhang Yongrui to inject Wang Mengyao. "From now on, she'll be completely obedient to you."

"Haha, give it here."

Zhang Yongrui took the syringe. Looking at Wang Mengyao, who was struggling in his arms, her mind hazy, he heard her weakly protest, "No..."

"Wang Mengyao, I'm going to turn you into my slave!"

Zhang Yongrui chuckled lewdly, pulling Wang Mengyao's arm and aiming the syringe at a vein.

*Bang!*

With a loud crash, the private room door was suddenly kicked open. Wan Yunting, wearing Tao Xiang’s face, entered, holding Niu Qiuling. Zhang Yongrui and Liang Jun were startled, thinking the police had arrived.

"Tao Xiang, why the hell did you come in here?"

Upon seeing it was Tao Xiang, Zhang Yongrui glared, his face contorted with anger at the interruption.

"Just came to see how you guys were playing."

Wan Yunting adopted a deliberately provocative demeanor and casually closed the door.

"Damn it, I haven't settled the score from last time, and now you're here ruining my fun. Tao Xiang, are you looking to die?" Zhang Yongrui roared, his voice laced with fury.

Wan Yunting sniffed, thinking to himself that this Tao Xiang actually had a prior conflict with this guy.

"Get out now, or I'll kill you!"

Zhang Yongrui glanced at Wang Mengyao, who lay on the sofa, his priority being to deal with her before attending to Tao Xiang.

"What if I don't leave?"

Wan Yunting's lips curved into a slight smile, projecting an image of someone who clearly intended to cause trouble.

Although this Wang Mengyao was capricious and willful, much like her mother, she was, after all, the younger sister of his second sister-in-law, Wang Chulin. If Zhang Yongrui injected her with drugs, her life would be ruined.

"Tao Xiang, you dare to cause trouble in President Chen's establishment?"

Liang Jun, with two women in his arms, glared at Tao Xiang. "Can you bear the consequences?"

Zhang Yongrui cursed loudly, grabbing a wine bottle from the table. "Tao Xiang, are you getting out or not?"

Wan Yunting smiled faintly and, without a word, disarmed Zhang Yongrui of the bottle and, with a swift counter-attack, struck him on the head, sending Zhang Yongrui crashing to the ground. He convulsed for a moment before losing consciousness.

"Tao Xiang, how dare you..."

Liang Jun jumped to his feet in shock, but his vision suddenly darkened as Wan Yunting knocked him out with a single punch. The two women were about to scream when he incapacitated them with two palm strikes, causing them to collapse onto the sofa.

The entire process took only three seconds, and Niu Qiuling, standing beside him, hadn't even had time to react.

Wan Yunting walked over and patted the dazed Wang Mengyao. "Hey, wake up."

"No..."

Wang Mengyao's expression was one of pain. Wan Yunting took her wrist and felt her pulse. As suspected, she had been drugged.

"What are you doing?"

Seeing Wan Yunting helping Wang Mengyao up, Niu Qiuling, who had finally come to her senses, was unsure why he was getting involved.

Wan Yunting sighed. "She's my second sister-in-law's sister. I can't just watch her get into trouble."

"But if you go out like this, won't it alert them?"

Niu Qiuling was nervous. Although they had already obtained evidence of drug dealing from the den, there were so many guards outside. If Wan Yunting tried to get Wang Mengyao out, it would definitely attract attention.

"We'll deal with whatever comes our way. What's there to fear?"

Wan Yunting shot Niu Qiuling a glance and grabbed Wang Mengyao, putting his arm around her slender waist to support her.

In truth, he didn't particularly want to be the hero. After all, a spoiled young lady like Wang Mengyao would likely not appreciate his efforts.

However, she was his second sister-in-law's sister, and he had stumbled upon her predicament. If he didn't save her, it felt somewhat irresponsible.

Alas, he was truly a born saintly man!

Wan Yunting opened the door, glanced left and right down the corridor, and then carried the unconscious Wang Mengyao out. Niu Qiuling had no choice but to follow.

As they emerged into the living area, they were met by Cui Zhiming. "Young Master Tao, are you heading upstairs?"

"Yes."

Wan Yunting, with Wang Mengyao in one arm and Niu Qiuling in the other, grinned wickedly. "Taking them to the third floor!"

Hearing this, Niu Qiuling mentally vowed to settle the score with this scoundrel later.

Cui Zhiming's sharp eyes narrowed. He took in the sight of Wang Mengyao in Wan Yunting's left arm and exclaimed in surprise, "Isn't that the girl Young Master Zhang brought in? What's she doing with you?"

As soon as he said this, Niu Qiuling's heart tightened, and she instinctively grabbed Wan Yunting's waist. He glanced down at her, then said to Cui Zhiming with a smile, "You mean Zhang Yongrui? We made a bet earlier. If I lost, I'd give her to him."

Wan Yunting squeezed Niu Qiuling's waist as a signal and continued to smile at Cui Zhiming. "But unfortunately, that kid didn't get to enjoy her. Instead, he lost, so he gave her to me to play with!"

Upon hearing this, Cui Zhiming nodded with a smile. He was already accustomed to the games these wealthy second-generation heirs played.

"Brother Cui, give me a packet. I'm taking it upstairs to play with."

Wan Yunting then reached out. Without much thought, Cui Zhiming signaled for his subordinate to bring him a small packet of crystal meth. "Then I won't disturb you, Young Master Tao."

"Right, charge it to my membership account later."

Wan Yunting pocketed the packet, waved goodbye to Cui Zhiming, and, holding Wang Mengyao and Niu Qiuling, entered the elevator and headed upstairs.

Cui Zhiming's eyes narrowed. He watched the elevator go up and then stop on the first floor. Being naturally cautious, he sensed something was amiss. He then went to the private room Zhang Yongrui and the others had occupied and pushed the door open. He saw them sprawled unconscious on the floor and sofas.

"Not good..."

Cui Zhiming muttered, immediately pulling out his walkie-talkie to call the gatekeepers. "Stop that Young Master Tao!"

However, at the main gate of the villa's courtyard, as a 911 sports car was just exiting, the young gatekeeper received Cui Zhiming's message. He turned and looked at the car's taillights disappearing in the distance. "Brother Cui, they've already left."

Upon hearing this, Cui Zhiming took out his phone and called Chen Tao. "Mr. Chen, you need to come down here quickly. Something's happened!"

Chen Tao, who was on the rooftop, also saw Tao Xiang's sports car leaving the villa. Hearing Cui Zhiming's words, he immediately went down to the sub-basement with Ma Xin and the others. "What is it?"

Cui Zhiming led them into the private room and, pointing at the unconscious Zhang Yongrui and the others, said, "Tao Xiang did this!"

Chen Tao and Ma Xin were stunned. Looking at Zhang Yongrui, who was lying on the ground with blood oozing from his head, Chen Tao turned to Cui Zhiming and demanded, "What exactly happened?"

Cui Zhiming then recounted the events in detail, causing Chen Tao to raise his eyebrows. Ma Xin commented, "What's so strange about that? Tao Xiang and Zhang Yongrui always had a feud. They had an incident before."

However, Cui Zhiming shook his head. "Even if they had a conflict, he wouldn't have beaten people up like this!"

Chen Tao turned to him. "Tell me."

Cui Zhiming nodded. "I feel like Tao Xiang was not himself tonight. I have a strange feeling about him!"

Ma Xin looked puzzled. "Not himself? What do you mean?"

Cui Zhiming shook his head. "I can't quite put my finger on it, but I just feel he wasn't quite right tonight. It felt as if he wasn't the real Young Master Tao!"

Ma Xin waved his hand. "Alright, alright, Old Cui, you're too suspicious. Maybe the kid took too much and got excited, which is why he beat up Zhang Yongrui like that. Then, perhaps out of fear of us blaming him, he tricked you into going upstairs to play. What's so strange about that?"

Cui Zhiming frowned. Ma Xin's reasoning wasn't entirely without merit, but he still felt that Tao Xiang was off tonight.

Especially his eyes; they were deep and sharp, and remarkably clear, unlike the eyes of a drug addict.

"Alright, first take Young Master Zhang to get his head bandaged. We can wake them up and ask, and then we'll know everything," Chen Tao said.

Although he believed Cui Zhiming's caution was a good thing, Ma Xin's words also held truth. These addicts, once stimulated and excited, felt as if the entire world belonged to them.

Therefore, Chen Tao didn't overthink it. He simply instructed the guards outside to remain vigilant and keep a close watch on the surroundings...
