Xia Feng felt a surge of emotion upon hearing Elder Li's words.
He then looked at Elder Li and said, "Elder Li, my trip out this time is primarily for tempering my mind in the mortal world. Since I have nothing else to do, I'll go to a university and pass on the legacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. How much they learn will depend on their own fortune."
Xia Feng paused for a moment after saying this.
He indeed had nothing to do every day. If he could truly pass on Traditional Chinese Medicine, it would undoubtedly be a great boon for the Chinese people.
However, Xia Feng wouldn't stay long, at most a year. He would teach everything he knew, and how much they absorbed would be up to them.
Most importantly, Xia Feng wanted to experience society firsthand and witness the myriad aspects of life.
Take yesterday's event for example. Dining alone with Jin Xiaochen felt quite good, like an ordinary person returning to simplicity.
Elder Li looked at Xia Feng with curiosity.
It seemed almost unbelievable, but seeing the clarity in Xia Feng's eyes, devoid of any pretense, he smiled and said, "Your willingness to teach children Traditional Chinese Medicine is fortunate for Chinese medicine.
Then it's settled. Since I have nothing to do each day, let's do something meaningful. Elder Li, please recommend a university, and I'll teach a batch of students." Xia Feng was unsure which university to choose.
He didn't know which universities were teaching Traditional Chinese Medicine.
"Then go to Fudan University's School of Medicine in Modu. It was the first public medical school in China, offering both Chinese and Western medicine. Anyone admitted here is a talent," Elder Li suggested.
"Elder Li, please make the arrangements." Xia Feng had no objections.
"Good." Elder Li nodded and then had his secretary summon the president of Fudan University.
When Ou Kang'an, the president of Fudan University, received the notification, he was so excited he nearly jumped for joy.
Elder Li wanted to see him?
This was an incredibly fortunate event.
Ou Kang'an rushed to the villa and first saw Zheng Ming, the current secretary of Modu, whom he naturally recognized.
"Secretary Zheng." Ou Kang'an greeted Zheng Ming.
"Hurry inside. Elder Li is waiting for you." After Zheng Ming saw off the guest, he returned to the villa, as he needed to attend to Elder Li's presence.
"Very good, very good." Ou Kang'an said "good" three times with evident excitement, and with a mixture of trepidation and eagerness, he walked into the villa.
As soon as Ou Kang'an entered the villa, Elder Li's secretary approached and led Ou Kang'an into the study.
There were three people in the study: a young man and woman. The woman was preparing tea, while the young man sat opposite Elder Li, engaged in lively conversation.
Without time to think further, Ou Kang'an respectfully greeted Elder Li, "Elder Li."
"Principal Ou, please sit." Elder Li indicated a seat beside him.
"Thank you, Elder Li." Ou Kang'an sat down nervously, his posterior barely touching the edge of the seat. He was ready to stand up at any moment if Elder Li had a request.
"This is Xia Feng. I've arranged for him to teach Traditional Chinese Medicine at Fudan University's School of Medicine as a professor of Chinese Medicine, instructing the most outstanding batch of students. His words are my words, and they are the nation's words. Your task is to cooperate with his work to the best of your ability."
Elder Li spoke to Ou Kang'an in a commanding tone, with an air of irrefutability.
Upon hearing this, Ou Kang'an immediately stood up and assured Elder Li, "I guarantee that I will complete the task and cooperate with Professor Xia's work."
"Principal Ou, there's no need to be so formal. I'll be troubling you from now on. Please leave your phone number, and I'll contact you when I arrive." Xia Feng spoke proactively.
Ou Kang'an was somewhat overwhelmed and quickly gave his number.
"This matter is confidential. You know what to do." Elder Li reminded him.
"Yes." Ou Kang'an replied.
Ou Kang'an came and left quickly.
After a few minutes, he departed.
"Xia Feng, if you need anything, just tell me. Your matters are our matters." Elder Li said, looking at Xia Feng and instructing him.
"Alright." Xia Feng didn't refuse.
Elder Li stayed at Xia Feng's home for another meal before heading back to the capital.
Xia Feng informed Xia Lin and the others about his plan to teach at Fudan University. Xia Lin insisted that he first change his image, stating that his long robe and long hair were not suitable for a professor. She dragged Xia Feng to get a haircut and even specifically helped him buy over a dozen sets of clothes.
Xia Feng was already handsome and distinguished. With this transformation, he now possessed the modern appearance of a young and dashing man.
The task of picking up and dropping off Xia Feng daily was assigned to Zhou Gangyi.
When he received this assignment, he was overjoyed for two days. Not everyone had the qualification to drive his great-grandfather.
Becoming Xia Feng's dedicated driver meant he could interact with Xia Feng daily. Cultivating a deeper relationship with his great-grandfather was a tremendous opportunity.
His only concern was that his master might come one day and take his place.
Then there would be no recourse.
After returning from Xia Feng's place that day, Ou Kang'an immediately convened a meeting, specially selecting the top thirty students in the Traditional Chinese Medicine department and assigning them new professors.
Ou Kang'an's actions puzzled many. His explanation was that he had invited a renowned master of Traditional Chinese Medicine to specially tutor these students.
As for whether Xia Feng was a master of Traditional Chinese Medicine, he hadn't personally witnessed it. However, since it was personally arranged by Elder Li, it was a matter of great importance.
He had to implement the task assigned to him by Elder Li.
"I heard we have a new professor today. The principal is taking this matter very seriously. I wonder how skilled the new professor is in Traditional Chinese Medicine?"
"I just hope the new professor isn't too rigid. I don't want him to make us recite the 'Tang Tou Ge' every day; we're already sick of it."
"Luo Hanxiang is also assigned to our class. I didn't expect to be in the same class as the prettiest girl in the medical school."
"Why is such a goddess studying Traditional Chinese Medicine? Isn't that a waste of talent?"
"Don't talk nonsense. Luo Hanxiang's grandfather is an old Chinese medicine practitioner, so it's perfectly normal for her to study Traditional Chinese Medicine."
"Regardless of anything else, just for Goddess Luo Hanxiang, I'll give the new professor thirty-six likes."
Students in the newly formed Traditional Chinese Medicine class discussed the new professor amongst themselves.
They chatted amongst themselves, mostly about gossip, and eventually started talking about Luo Hanxiang.
"The principal is here."
Someone uttered this, and the entire classroom immediately fell silent.
Then Ou Kang'an entered the classroom and announced loudly, "Hello, students. You are the first specially assigned class in our school. You are all outstanding students. When your new professor arrives, please do not disappoint him, do not disgrace the school. Be humble and learn diligently."
"Yes, Principal."
The entire class responded with enthusiastic shouts.
"Principal, when will our professor arrive?"
One of the students asked.
"He will be here tomorrow morning. Today, we'll let you get acquainted with each other, as you've been drawn from various classes, and some of you don't know each other yet."
Ou Kang'an explained to all the students.
Upon hearing that the new professor would arrive tomorrow, everyone looked forward with anticipation.
