Chapter 478 You Can't Just Come Here If You Want

Zhang Xiaoming felt a pang of panic when he heard Old Wang say that.

Jack Ma and Penguin Ma could even live under the same roof. What kind of people could organize so many big shots?

Although Zhang Xiaoming was much younger than them and had experienced less hardship, he wasn't stupid. The fact that he could gather so many influential figures could only mean one thing: this person was incredibly powerful, beyond imagination.

No wonder they had recently started a company called Fenglin Entertainment.

He hadn't understood the reason before, but now it was instantly clear.

As for the two Mas and Hao getting along and collaborating, Zhang Xiaoming would never believe it.

The anti-Jack Ma alliance back then was formed by Penguin Ma.

If these two could reconcile, it would be a miracle.

Old Wang chuckled after hearing this and asked, "Are you going to apologize in person?"

"Yes, yes, yes, I'll apologize in person to express my sincerity," Zhang Xiaoming quickly replied.

"This isn't a place you can just come to whenever you please," Old Wang immediately stopped him.

You want to come and apologize?

You must be dreaming.

"This..." Zhang Xiaoming was momentarily speechless.

So his apology wasn't accepted?

Zhang Xiaoming's voice became a little flustered, and he continued, "Mr. Wang, please do me a favor, I beg you. You know I wouldn't do something like blocking your son's account. Who would bother with such trivial matters?"

"You're also a boss. You can't possibly know every single thing a manager does in every Yida Plaza, can you?"

Seeing Old Wang's refusal, Zhang Xiaoming quickly used an analogy to get Old Wang to speak up for him.

"Ask Old Ma. Lin'er assigned this matter to him," Old Wang passed the responsibility to Jack Ma.

It was Old Ma's business in the first place, and Old Wang was too lazy to get involved.

After saying this, Old Wang handed the phone to Jack Ma.

After taking the phone, Jack Ma said, "I can't help you with your apology right now. I can only go and ask for you."

"Okay, okay, Teacher Ma, thank you very much." Seeing that Jack Ma had said this much, Zhang Xiaoming nodded in agreement.

After Jack Ma hung up, Old Wang looked at him and asked, "Are you going to talk to Lin'er?"

"I've already handled the matter Lin'er assigned to me, so I'll definitely report back to her," Jack Ma said before turning to go downstairs.

Old Wang watched Jack Ma go downstairs, crossed his legs, and took small sips of tea.

This Zhang Xiaoming brought it upon himself, and now he's scared out of his wits, right?

Then Old Wang felt something was wrong. This was a typical case of someone being made a scapegoat.

Not long after Jack Ma went down, he came back up. Old Wang eagerly asked, "What did Lin'er say?"

"Lin'er said it's fine. If he doesn't apologize in person, he won't be able to sleep or eat in peace," Jack Ma said with a smile.

The two continued to sit on the balcony, chatting idly.

The next day, before Zhang Xiaoming arrived, an important guest appeared.

As the year was coming to an end, people were visiting and conducting inspections. Old Li had finally managed to secure the inspection rights for the Shanghai area.

He had fought tooth and nail with the other three for this, almost coming to blows.

In the end, Old Li agreed to help them get some tea before they allowed him to go.

Only Old Li could ask for tea, which was why no one had any objections.

"Xia Feng, I'm going to stay here for two days," Old Li said with a smile, sitting on the sofa and drinking the tea Qin Wen had brewed.

If he came to Shanghai and didn't stay at Xia Feng's place for two days, wouldn't that be a wasted effort in competing for the opportunity?

He would inspect during the day and return to Xia Feng's place at night. Old Li was extremely satisfied with this arrangement.

"You're already here, I can't possibly kick you out," Xia Feng teased.

"Haha... That's true," Old Li chuckled and nodded, completely treating Xia Feng's place as his own home.

"Grandpa," Li Changhe walked over and called out.

"Are you getting used to staying here? If not, tell me, and I'll help you get used to it," Old Li asked Li Changhe, who was walking towards him.

"I'm very used to it." Li Changhe wasn't boasting; he genuinely felt accustomed to it.

Apart from the daily routine of scrubbing the toilet, it wasn't boring.

He was now used to scrubbing toilets, and sometimes, when he had nothing else to do, he would deliberately go and scrub the toilet himself.

There was no particular reason, he just wanted to showcase his skills.

"As long as you're used to it, find something to do. Don't bother me while I'm chatting with Xia Feng," Old Li glanced at his grandson and directly told him to leave.

"Okay, I'll go and do my work now." Li Changhe said and then quickly slipped away.

Due to Old Li's sudden arrival today, Jack Ma and the others had gone out to buy groceries.

Jack Ma, Old Wang, and Lei Ming were all wearing masks and hats in the vegetable market, so they weren't afraid of being recognized.

The three of them were like typical market aunties, personally selecting all sorts of vegetables.

They didn't haggle over prices; they paid whatever the vendors asked. It didn't matter if they were shortchanged.

In their eyes, it wasn't about the money. As long as it made the vendors happy, that was enough.

Just then, Jack Ma's phone rang.

Jack Ma knew it was Zhang Xiaoming calling without even looking. He put down the vegetables, took out his phone, and said, "I'm at the East District vegetable market in Shanghai. Just come directly."

"The vegetable market?" Zhang Xiaoming's voice sounded surprised.

"Buying groceries, for cooking," Jack Ma said without any concealment.

"This... Teacher Ma's hobbies are still so peculiar," Zhang Xiaoming whispered.

"Alright, don't disturb my grocery shopping. Wait for me at the entrance of the market when you arrive," Jack Ma said before hanging up.

The three of them continued to wander around the market for another hour before they had bought enough.

"Wait for me at the entrance of the market when you drive out later," Jack Ma said to Lei Ming, who was in the driver's seat.

"What's up?" Lei Ming asked.

"Zhang Xiaoming is waiting for me at the entrance," Jack Ma replied.

"Why is that four-eyed frog looking for you?" Lei Ming asked curiously.

"He's here to apologize to Lin'er," Jack Ma said.

"That four-eyed guy offended Lin'er?" Lei Ming's voice rose significantly upon hearing this. He was truly impressive.

Lei Ming, not wanting to miss any drama, continued, "Then hurry up and take him here. I really want to see if his four eyes will be shocked into blindness."

Zhang Xiaoming was much younger than them. In their circle, they almost all called him "Four-eyed Frog."

Penguin Ma also wore glasses, but no one called him that.

Lei Ming drove the car to the entrance of the vegetable market and saw a black Maybach parked in front. Lei Ming went over and honked the horn.

The rear window of the Maybach rolled down, revealing a smiling face.

"Get in quickly. Do you think your car can still be driven?" Jack Ma shouted from the back seat, rolling down the window.

Zhang Xiaoming smiled awkwardly and quickly got out of the car. He also said to the driver, "Find a place to wait for me. I'll call you when I'm done."
