Xia Feng followed Emperor Qingxu to his residence.
Emperor Qingxu was quite adept at enjoying life, occupying an entire colossal mountain and building residences on its summit.
Emperor's Manor.
These four characters were carved onto a large stone.
As Emperor Qingxu returned to his manor, eight fairies immediately surrounded him, respectfully exclaiming, "Greetings, Emperor."
"These two are also Emperors; quickly pay your respects," Emperor Qingxu said, gesturing towards Xia Feng and Emperor Canyue.
"We welcome the two Emperors." The eight fairies bowed to them again.
"You may withdraw and prepare fine wine and dishes," Emperor Qingxu waved his hand at the eight fairies, signaling them to leave.
"Yes." The eight fairies curtsied, swaying their waists and departing with light steps.
Emperor Qingxu was unlike Emperor Canyue; he was a man who understood how to enjoy life.
Since his Empress had passed away, he had embarked on a life of extravagance and indulgence.
There were no men in his manor, only fairies, a total of 188.
Among them, 88 were his Dao companions. These 88 all started as the lowest-ranking fairies, and upon being "possessed" by Emperor Qingxu, they would be promoted.
From then on, they lived a carefree life. As for the other fairies, they naturally wished to impress Emperor Qingxu. A single night of revelry with Emperor Qingxu would bring about a drastic change in their status and lives.
However, Emperor Qingxu never considered having children. He neither wished to nor was willing to.
As an Emperor, he enjoyed his freedom and saw no need to burden himself with additional attachments.
In Emperor Qingxu's own words: "I've cultivated my entire life, what's wrong with enjoying myself? If I don't play with many fairies, what's the use of this cultivation? What's the use of this organ?"
After all, everyone has their own aspirations, and one cannot judge others.
Emperor Canyue's hands had calluses; you couldn't fault him for that, could you?
"You certainly know how to enjoy yourself," Xia Feng said with a smile, looking at Emperor Qingxu.
"I don't want to be like Canyue, that boring fellow, spending his nights alone. I really don't understand what he's thinking," Emperor Qingxu said, shaking his head in puzzlement. He then looked at Xia Feng and asked,
"How many Dao companions do you have?"
"I don't have any either," Xia Feng replied with a wry smile.
"No way? You're not also a blockhead like Canyue, are you?" Emperor Qingxu exclaimed in surprise.
"Not quite. I'll let nature take its course. It's still early," Xia Feng smiled.
Upon hearing this, Emperor Qingxu looked at Xia Feng and asked, "May I feel your bone age?"
"Sure," Xia Feng said, extending his hand.
Emperor Qingxu placed his hand on Xia Feng's back, felt his bone age, and his eyes widened like saucers. He asked in a trembling voice, "You... you're under a hundred years old?"
As Emperor Qingxu spoke, Emperor Canyue quickly looked towards Xia Feng.
An Emperor in the middle stage, not even a hundred years old.
What kind of joke was this?
He knew Xia Feng was very young, but once one reached the Emperor realm, they could alter their appearance at will, making it impossible to discern their actual age. Only by feeling the bone age was possible.
The first time they met was just over forty years ago, and he was already in the early Emperor stage then.
This meant Xia Feng might have been born an Emperor?
Emperor Canyue had always considered his talent exceptional, otherwise, he wouldn't have been the sole Emperor on the Dark Void Continent.
Since meeting Xia Feng, he had been constantly overshadowed.
Now, learning that Xia Feng's bone age was under a hundred, he was completely stunned.
What was he doing before he was a hundred?
Perhaps peeking at the neighbor auntie taking a bath.
Xia Feng was already in the middle Emperor stage. Truly, comparing oneself to others was enough to drive oneself mad.
Emperor Canyue could guess without even thinking that it wouldn't be long before Xia Feng broke through to the late Emperor stage, at which point defeating him would be as easy as playing.
"I wasn't born in the Immortal Realm. I came from the lower realms, so it's normal for my bone age to be low," Xia Feng explained.
"That's still too outrageous! I'm hundreds of thousands of years old and I don't even remember," Emperor Qingxu felt like his life was being lived by a dog.
"Isn't this good? Why dwell on age? Since we have infinite life, why care about age?" Xia Feng countered with a smile.
"That's true. With infinite life, why bother about age? Just enjoy yourselves. As long as we aren't killed by the Heavenly Dao, or encounter situations like today where we're demoted from the Emperor realm, our lives are endless."
Emperor Qingxu nodded. With infinite life, why should one care about others' ages?
They chatted for three days, mostly Xia Feng and Emperor Qingxu conversing, while Emperor Canyue sat like a wooden figure, only speaking when asked and never initiating conversation.
Once the dishes were ready, a female official arrived with a group of fairies dressed in sheer gauze, commencing a dance performance.
"Whichever of you fancies one of them can take them tonight. I'll gift them to you; these are fairies I've meticulously selected from all over."
Emperor Qingxu spoke generously as he watched the dancing fairies.
"Haha... it seems everyone likes being friends with you," Xia Feng chuckled.
"Not just anyone is qualified to be my friend. To be frank, you two are the only men who have ever visited my manor," Emperor Qingxu laughed heartily.
After all, a friend of an Emperor must at least be an Emperor. As for lower realms, that's another matter.
"No wonder Canyue told me you enjoyed life. Now I see it," Xia Feng shook his head and smiled.
"Come, drink," Emperor Qingxu proactively raised his wine cup and called out to them.
The three of them drank a cup of wine. Xia Feng then looked at Emperor Qingxu and asked, "How many Emperors are there in the entire Immortal Realm currently?"
"As far as is known, including you and that black-robed figure who appeared today, there are a total of 12. However, there are likely unregistered Emperors. Just before yesterday, I didn't know about you, nor did I know about another black-robed Emperor emerging from the Hongming Continent," Emperor Qingxu stated confidently after some thought.
"Known is 13. The Tianxuan Continent, counting me and one sister, totals 4. The Dark Void Continent has only Canyue, 1. The Hongming Continent has 4 known, and the remaining 4 are on the Myriad Demon Continent?"
Xia Feng did some calculations. Weren't there four left on the Myriad Demon Continent?
"Yes, the Myriad Demon Continent has always had four. I don't know if there are more later," Emperor Qingxu nodded, then looked at Xia Feng again, wondering if his sister was also an Emperor?
"Then the Myriad Demon Continent has considerable strength," Xia Feng nodded.
"The Myriad Demon Continent has always been strong, otherwise, why would they dare to attack humans?" Emperor Canyue finally chimed in.
"You are from the Tianxuan Continent. Do you know anything about Emperor Wumie?" Emperor Qingxu suddenly asked.
"I don't. Didn't Emperor Wumie disappear a long time ago?" Xia Feng asked curiously.
Emperor Qingxu smiled and shook his head, saying,
"That's just the speculation of the common folk. They are not qualified to know. Emperor Tianlu knows."
