Chapter 585 You Make Me Very Curious

Xia Feng returned to the Goddess's mansion and had the waiting maid summon Laotian Gou and Pu Buqi.

"Master," the two called out respectfully upon arriving at Xia Feng's residence.

"You two will go to the Taiji Sect tomorrow and find Zhang Zhenren of the Taiji Sect. I have already spoken to him. You can wait for me at the Taiji Sect," Xia Feng instructed them.

"Yes, Master," Laotian Gou and Pu Buqi replied in unison.

They harbored no questions about Xia Feng's arrangements, as their loyalty was solely to him.

As for Xia Feng's safety, they felt no concern. Xia Feng was already at the Divine Emperor realm. The Master of Ten Thousand Realms was the one who needed to worry, as Xia Feng's strength placed him at the very pinnacle of the God Realm.

"You may withdraw," Xia Feng waved his hand at the two.

After they retreated, Xia Feng's mind was filled with thoughts of the Heavenly Dao, feeling that something was still not quite understood.

The night passed without incident. The next morning, the maid led Xia Feng to the Goddess's courtyard.

"Young Master, did you sleep well last night?" Mu Yunchen bowed to Xia Feng.

"Very well," Xia Feng replied indifferently.

"Then today, Young Master, you will accompany me to pay respects to the Master of Ten Thousand Realms," Mu Yunchen said softly.

"Certainly," Xia Feng responded, his tone still neutral.

"Please, Young Master," Mu Yunchen said, making a gesturing motion. She then led Xia Feng to a side chamber.

Inside the chamber was a teleportation array. As they entered, Mu Yunchen explained, "This is the teleportation array leading to Youming City. We will travel from there."

Xia Feng nodded, expressing no objection. He simply wanted to meet the Master of Ten Thousand Realms quickly and see what kind of being he was. He also wanted to discover any potential schemes, especially since he had been targeted. The fact that the embroidered ball had chosen him must have a reason.

Xia Feng followed Mu Yunchen into the teleportation array. A flash of white light later, they appeared in Youming City, as the Goddess had described.

Youming City was an edge city on the westernmost side of the God Realm, bordering the Desolate Void. The Desolate Void was the boundary between the God Realm and the Underworld. It was a place where no life could survive, filled with endless darkness. Anyone who accidentally entered would drift endlessly in the darkness until they died.

However, there was an exception: the Master of Ten Thousand Realms. He treated the Desolate Void as his home, cultivating there, which actually accelerated his progress. Whether the Desolate Void was truly as terrifying as rumored, or if one truly could not escape once inside, no one dared to test. Perhaps it was a lie fabricated by the Master of Ten Thousand Realms. After all, a Divine Venerable expert had entered and emerged unharmed. Upon exiting, that Divine Venerable had uttered a single phrase: "This is truly not a place for humans." Even with such words from a Divine Venerable, no one dared to venture into the Desolate Void.

After arriving in Youming City with Mu Yunchen, Xia Feng did not linger and proceeded directly towards the Desolate Void. This time, they traveled by airship from Youming City to the edge of the Desolate Void, a journey that took about a day. These airships resembled boats, but with arrays built into their hulls, powered by divine stones, serving as modes of transport.

Upon reaching the Desolate Void, Mu Yunchen instructed, "Young Master, when we enter the Desolate Void and meet the Master of Ten Thousand Realms, you must show respect. He is our master."

"Understood," Xia Feng nodded.

After giving her instructions, Mu Yunchen produced a red stone, tossed it into the air, and called out, "Maid Mu Yunchen, bringing the Divine Son-in-law, requests an audience with the Master."

As Mu Yunchen's words finished, a small boat materialized in the Desolate Void.

"Let's go," Mu Yunchen said, pulling Xia Feng as they leaped onto the small boat, which then sailed into the Desolate Void.

The Desolate Void was indeed pitch black, to the point where one could not see their hand in front of their face. A faint light from the front of the boat acted like a guiding lamp, speeding them toward their destination.

"Mu Yunchen, doesn't something feel wrong? Are you sure your master isn't plotting something by selecting a divine son-in-law, perhaps to sacrifice me?" Xia Feng, with nothing else to do, began questioning the Master of Ten Thousand Realms' intentions. Since they were already inside, Xia Feng saw no need to maintain his pretense.

"That won't happen. If Master were to sacrifice your life, I, Mu Yunchen, would gladly accompany you," Mu Yunchen, thoroughly indoctrinated by the Master of Ten Thousand Realms, refused to believe Xia Feng's words.

"What use would it be for you to accompany me if I'm already dead?" Xia Feng chuckled.

"Since the embroidered ball chose you, I am yours in this life. Even if I must follow you to the Underworld, I will," Mu Yunchen revealed her true feelings.

"Are you so sure your master is that benevolent?" Xia Feng inquired.

"Yes, my life was saved by Master. Everything I have, Master gave me," Mu Yunchen stated earnestly.

"What if your master is simply using you to find a divine son-in-law to achieve his goals? I suspect this is the case," Xia Feng's words left Mu Yunchen speechless. In truth, she had considered this possibility, but clung to the hope that the Master of Ten Thousand Realms was genuinely seeking a divine son-in-law to provide them with a home.

"If what you say is true, then I can only repay your life with my own," Mu Yunchen, unable to articulate further, could only offer her life in exchange.

Xia Feng gave a wry smile and said no more.

After about fifteen minutes of sailing, a patch of light appeared ahead, resembling a palace. The Master of Ten Thousand Realms had built a palace within the Desolate Void, and this was where he resided. The small boat docked at the palace entrance. Mu Yunchen was the first to disembark, then reached out to help Xia Feng down. She did not mind that Xia Feng's cultivation was lower than hers, displaying a character akin to ancient women's devotion.

"Young Master, please follow me," Mu Yunchen said, leading Xia Feng into the palace. Two armored guards outside the palace bowed to Mu Yunchen. Mu Yunchen brought Xia Feng to a large hall and then spoke, "Young Master, we will wait here. Master will be here shortly."

"Alright," Xia Feng replied, finding a stone chair and sitting down, his gaze sweeping across the palace within the Desolate Void. They did not wait long before the entire palace suddenly lit up as if it were daytime. Mu Yunchen quickly bowed and announced, "Maid Mu Yunchen pays respects to Master." Seeing Xia Feng still seated, she desperately blinked at him, signaling him to rise and pay his respects. Xia Feng smiled and ignored her, instead looking at the man seated on a stone chair at the far end of the hall and stating, "Master of Ten Thousand Realms, complete stage of Divine Venerable."

The Master of Ten Thousand Realms frowned. Xia Feng's demeanor surprised him. Normally, anyone seeing him would be terrified and prostrate themselves on the ground, not display such composure. Why was this? The Master of Ten Thousand Realms used his divine sense to assess Xia Feng's cultivation, revealing him to be at the True God realm. Could such a calm expression truly come from someone at the True God realm?

The Master of Ten Thousand Realms spoke softly, "You make me very curious."
