Chapter 1226 So Dirty, So Dirty

Daisy shook her head frantically, vehemently denying, "Who said that? Utter nonsense, a false report! I'm fine, no one hurt me!"

Su Su felt bewildered. Protecting Daisy, she thought the police had the wrong person.

A police officer produced a color photograph. Though not very clear, Su Su immediately recognized the woman with a dazed expression as Daisy, and was shocked.

Daisy hid her face, refusing to look, and said, "It's not me, that's not me."

Su Su quickly hugged Daisy tighter and asked, "Were you bullied by bad people? Don't be afraid, it's not your fault. We should cooperate with the police and help them catch the bad guys!"

Seeing the person involved was agitated, the two officers decided not to provoke her further. They told Su Su, "We'll wait in the police car. You calm her down and accompany her to the station."

"Okay, thank you for your hard work." Su Su watched the officers return to their car.

She helped Daisy back into the house and, holding her, asked, "Tell me, what happened? I want to help you."

Daisy cried in her arms, sobbing, "This afternoon, when I was practicing boxing at the club, I was bullied by two male coaches..."

She choked back tears as she spoke.

Su Su was shocked, "This, this is terrible! There are cameras everywhere in the club, and it's a professional sports venue. How could this happen?"

"I don't know," Daisy wept, shaking her head. "In the women's locker room, there's no surveillance. They... they must have been targeting me for a while. It was premeditated."

"Simply audacious!" Su Su trembled with anger. "Since you know who did it, we absolutely cannot let them get away with it!"

Daisy pulled away from Su Su, shaking her head desperately, "No, no! Don't let the police catch them. They took photos... I don't want anyone else to know, and I don't want those photos to be posted online..."

Now Su Su understood why she hadn't been telling the truth. She intended to let the people who bullied her off the hook.

This was absolutely unacceptable. It would be too lenient for those two scoundrels.

Su Su tried to approach her again, saying, "Daisy, listen to me. If you're not brave enough to make them face the consequences they deserve, people like them will threaten you with those photos for the rest of your life. This is not your fault, you don't need to feel ashamed. Those bad people should be ashamed!"

Daisy just wanted to escape her, saying, "No! My parents will be sad if they find out, and Shao Hua... he absolutely cannot know! I hate myself so much, I'm so dirty, so dirty..."

"Daisy, don't be like this," Su Su tried to placate her. "But you didn't call the police, someone else did. Did anyone else see you being bullied at the time, which is why they called the police for you?"

"I don't know, I don't know..." Daisy hid in the corner, covering her head, "They drugged me, my consciousness was hazy. All I know is that in the women's locker room, besides me, there were only the two of them."

Su Su moved closer to her and said softly, "Okay, okay, it's alright now. Regardless of what you think, someone has reported it. If you don't cooperate with the investigation at the police station this time, the police will find you again."

Daisy looked up at her, asking with a lost and helpless expression, "Then what should I do?"

"The police should protect the privacy of the parties involved when handling cases. Don't worry, I'll go with you to the police station," Su Su pulled her closer and said, "Perhaps this is fate. Are you really willing to let those two scoundrels get away with it?"

Daisy calmed down a bit and took her hand, saying, "I'm not reconciled, of course I'm not reconciled. I also hate them immensely."

Su Su squeezed her hand and said, "Then there's nothing to be afraid of. We all know who you are. No one will look down on you, and neither will Huangfu Shao Hua."

"Really?"

Su Su wanted to reassure her and nodded, finally persuading her to go to the police station to identify the two bastards.

At the police station, Su Su stayed with her the entire time, and the report was taken by two female officers.

Daisy finally regained her senses, no longer confused. She understood that the bad people should be punished. As for whether the matter would escalate or how Shao Hua would react if he found out, that was something for later.

After finishing the statement, Su Su could clearly feel that Daisy was no longer so weak and now hoped the police would catch the culprits quickly.

As they left the police station together, Su Su received a call from Tian Yi.

"Wife, you're really not coming home tonight?"

Su Su gestured for Daisy to wait a moment and walked aside, saying, "Yes, something bad happened to her, and I need to stay with her. You be good at home."

Tian Yi said "oh" and felt very lonely lying in bed, asking, "What bad thing happened? Do you need my help?"

"No need." Su Su, afraid Daisy would be waiting too long, quickly said, "You should sleep now. Goodnight."

Without waiting for Tian Yi to say more, she hung up.

Getting into the car, she was going to take Daisy home.

Although Daisy wasn't crying anymore, she still asked listlessly, "President Qin is rushing you back, isn't he?"

"No, he just asked to let the children sleep first," Su Su replied with a light, cheerful tone.

Daisy leaned her head against the car window and said, "Just take me home. I want to be alone for a while. You should go home. I'm fine."

"But I'm worried. Let me stay with you tonight. I promise you'll feel very peaceful," Su Su knew that although Daisy's emotions were no longer agitated, the pain and distress wouldn't subside immediately. Having someone by her side would make her feel better.

"Thank you." Daisy looked out the car window at the brightly lit streets, saying nothing more.

Upon returning to her residence, Daisy sat by the window with a vacant stare. Fortunately, it was a ground-floor unit, so Su Su didn't worry about her doing anything foolish.

Su Su made her some hot milk and placed it beside her. She sat quietly on the sofa, not disturbing her.

Later in the night, Su Su, unable to stay awake, dozed off on the sofa.

When she woke up, it was morning. She looked at the window with a moment of daze but soon realized Daisy was no longer by the window.

She quickly got up and called out, "Daisy."

But there was no response from anyone in the small house.

Had Daisy run out alone to do something foolish while she was asleep?

She was terrified and panicked, rushing to go out and find Daisy.

Just as she was about to open the door, it opened from the outside. Daisy walked in, carrying breakfast.

Seeing that she was alright, Su Su breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Where did you go? Why didn't you tell me when you went out?"

Daisy put down the breakfast in her hand and said, "I went to buy breakfast. You didn't eat dinner last night while you were with me. Eat something quickly, don't starve yourself, or President Qin will blame me."

Su Su saw that her expression was natural, as if she had recovered.

Su Su opened the breakfast she had bought and smiled, "I'm glad you're alright. Let's eat together."

As they ate breakfast, Su Su suggested, "How about I accompany you on a trip to relax? Where would you like to go?"

"I don't want to travel," Daisy said after a moment of thought. "You can go to the studio with peace of mind. I'm really fine. I just need a few days to rest at home."

Su Su felt that Daisy was stronger than most women. Just as she was about to say something else, Daisy's phone rang.
