"What if I want to stay in the department?" Song Jiaping questioned.
The secretary glanced towards the office area and said, "Here? There are no extra desks or chairs. You'll have to stand. As for where you can stand without blocking the way or bothering others, that's up to you to figure out."
Song Jiaping suppressed his anger, turned, and left the Financial Information Department. He took the elevator to the parking lot, intending to find the car first.
As soon as he left, several female colleagues surrounded Huangfu Shaohua's secretary, Sheng Zhuzhu.
Someone asked curiously, "The second young master's new driver looks young, and quite handsome. Is he married?"
"He's just a driver. What's the use of being handsome?" Sheng Zhuzhu dismissively tossed Song Jiaping's resume aside.
A female colleague quickly picked up the resume and read it. Upon reaching the education section, she covered her mouth in surprise and exclaimed, "A top student from medical school. Why isn't he a doctor? Why is he a driver?"
Sheng Zhuzhu, who had already seen Song Jiaping's education, speculated, "Why else? He must not be good at being a doctor. Perhaps he killed someone and was fired by the hospital, so he had to become a driver."
"Zhuzhu, you're right. It was probably a medical malpractice incident, and he couldn't stay at the hospital." The female colleague holding Song Jiaping's resume lost interest in him and returned to her seat.
The other female colleagues also found it uninteresting and returned to their posts.
Song Jiaping went to the parking lot and found the champagne-colored luxury car the secretary had mentioned. He sat in the driver's seat and took one look, knowing there was no issue with his ability to drive it.
When he was in the war zone, he could drive even the most difficult-to-handle jeeps like flying. What was this comfortable luxury car in comparison?
He didn't return to the Financial Information Department of the group. Thinking that patience was key, he sat in the car and waited, constantly reminding himself that he had come this far and needed to endure.
Being Huangfu Shaohua's driver might seem like a lowly position, but it was also a good opportunity to get close to the high-level executives of the Huangfu Group.
He checked the time from time to time. It wasn't until six in the evening that he received a call from Huangfu Shaohua's secretary, telling him to get ready as the second young master would need the car soon.
He got out of the car and stood by the door, waiting. He also wanted to see what kind of person Huangfu Shaohua was.
Not long after, a man in a suit and tie arrived at the parking lot. He was tall, with stern features and a neat short haircut.
Song Jiaping stepped forward and said, "Second Young Master, hello. I am your new driver."
Huangfu Shaohua glanced at him, smiled, and shook his hand. "Hello."
Song Jiaping opened the car door for him to get in.
As he closed the door, he still smiled at Song Jiaping and said, "Brother-in-law, thank you for your hard work."
Song Jiaping was slightly stunned.
"I've seen your resume, and your name sounded familiar. I recall my mother mentioning that the man Mengyao married after her car accident had this name," Huangfu Shaohua explained.
"Oh," Song Jiaping said. "Don't tell Mengyao about me coming to the group. She doesn't know. She thinks I'm on a business trip because of the hospital incident."
"Alright," Huangfu Shaohua readily agreed.
He was actually quite curious. This person looked like a fine gentleman and had been a doctor, so why was he working as a handyman at the group?
Was the Huangfu Group's reputation that attractive?
But he didn't ask further. After all, his parents didn't think highly of Song Jiaping, and his sister's marriage might not last.
As Song Jiaping prepared to drive, he asked, "Where are we going?"
Huangfu Shaohua didn't say they were going home. Instead, he gave the address of a boxing club.
Song Jiaping drove him to the location as instructed.
Upon arriving at the entrance, Huangfu Shaohua told him, "You don't need to pick me up later. You can drive the car back and bring it to the group's parking lot tomorrow."
"I don't need to pick you up to go to the group tomorrow morning?" Song Jiaping felt the job was too easy, as if there was nothing to do.
"No need," Huangfu Shaohua got out of the car. "Just wait for my call whenever I need a car."
"Okay," Song Jiaping watched him enter the boxing club but didn't leave immediately. He was curious why he would come to such a place after work instead of going home.
He guessed this must be Huangfu Shaohua's hobby.
This luxury car was too conspicuous. He had to drive it back and park it first before he could investigate.
After entering the boxing gym, Huangfu Shaohua didn't change into boxing attire. Instead, he stood and watched the match between Daisy and a student.
The two on the stage were fighting fiercely. Daisy wore a white tight-fitting tank top and black tight-fitting pants, which perfectly accentuated her figure.
During the match, Daisy had the upper hand. Such a spirited woman was truly captivating.
When the match ended, Daisy had already knocked the male student to the ground and was pinning him down. She only released him when the student begged for mercy.
Huangfu Shaohua couldn't help but clap for Daisy. "Coach Daisy, you're amazing!"
Daisy then noticed Huangfu Shaohua in the audience. She wiped the sweat from her face with a towel and smiled faintly.
"You've come to train too? But I need to go eat first."
She taught many students and couldn't remember everyone's name, but she recognized those who had trained with her.
Huangfu Shaohua raised his chin and said, "My treat. And I'd like to ask for some pointers."
"Then you're getting a good deal," Daisy agreed heartily.
She chose a small eatery outside the boxing club and ordered a few dishes she usually ate.
The more Huangfu Shaohua looked at her, the more he admired her. Unlike some girls he knew who were coy and affected, she was natural, generous, and cheerful in front of him.
While eating, Daisy suddenly pointed at him and said, "I remember you. You got a VIP membership at the club last month, right? You trained with me twice, and you're still at the beginner stage. Are there any techniques you haven't learned?"
In reality, Huangfu Shaohua wasn't at a level where he could spar with her. He had only hit the sandbag twice under her guidance to relax. He certainly didn't have any techniques he didn't understand.
But he had to maintain the pretense. "Oh, it's about how I can make my punches fast and accurate every time."
"There's no secret technique for that; it just takes practice. When you train more, your punch speed will naturally increase and become more accurate."
"There's something else I'm curious about," Huangfu Shaohua changed the subject. "Why would a girl like you get into boxing?"
Daisy put down her chopsticks and said unhappily, "That statement is sexist. Who says boxing is only for men to dominate... Wait a minute, are you trying to hit on me?"
Huangfu Shaohua didn't evade her gaze. He looked directly at her and said, "Are you willing?"
"Hmph, I don't even know your name!" Daisy raised an eyebrow, thinking he was joking and not believing his nonsense. Since becoming a coach here, she had received confessions from many students. She knew very well that these men were just playing with her.
