Chapter 1127 It's Not Your Fault

Tianyi said on the phone, "Come quickly, you and Lan Yu. I'm afraid, afraid An Jing might..."

"He'll be fine, An Jing will be alright," Susu reassured him with a firm tone.

"Right, An Jing's tough, he'll be fine."

"I'll go find Lan Yu now." With that, Susu hurried out.

Lan Yu felt a vague sense of foreboding when Susu suddenly appeared.

"Susu, has Mr. Qin returned home yet? An Jing even called me earlier, saying he wanted to come back early, but why can't I get through to his phone now?"

Susu stood at the doorway, not entering, trying her best to appear calm. "An Jing had a slight accident. Tianyi is with him at the hospital. He asked me to come with you."

"What kind of accident?" Lan Yu's heart skipped a beat.

Susu could only say, "I don't know the specifics. I drove here, let's go to the hospital quickly."

"Okay." Lan Yu felt flustered. After a brief word with the nanny, she got into the car with Susu.

They arrived at the hospital and saw Tianyi by the emergency room entrance.

Seeing Tianyi wearing only a white vest with bloodstains, Susu was terrified and asked, "What happened? Why is there so much blood? Are you hurt?"

"I'm fine, the blood on me is An Jing's..." As Tianyi spoke, he saw Lan Yu standing not far away.

Lan Yu's voice trembled as she asked, "An Jing, he's in the emergency room?"

Tianyi nodded guiltily.

Lan Yu felt her legs go weak, and she stumbled to the ground.

Susu rushed over and firmly helped her up. "Sit down for a bit, An Jing will be fine."

She guided Lan Yu to a chair and gently stroked her back.

Lan Yu, weak with fear, leaned entirely on Susu, murmuring, "How could this happen? He was fine when he called me."

"When I was leaving work with him, someone tried to attack me. He was stabbed while protecting me," Tianyi said sadly.

Hearing that An Jing had been stabbed, Lan Yu was even more frightened, and tears welled up in her eyes.

Susu held her tightly, comforting her, "It's okay, it's okay. The doctors are operating, he'll be alright!"

She also prayed for An Jing, but couldn't understand why someone would attack Tianyi. Now was not the time to dwell on it.

Two hours passed. It was late at night. Susu had been letting Lan Yu lean on her. Seeing Tianyi only wearing a vest, she worried he might catch a cold and carefully took off her jacket to give him.

"It's getting a bit cold, wear this."

Tianyi waved his hand, completely unfazed by the cold. "No need."

Just then, the emergency room light finally went out, and the automatic door slid open from the inside. A doctor emerged.

Tianyi quickly went to meet him, his face full of anticipation.

Susu also helped Lan Yu to her feet and looked towards the doctor, hoping for good news.

The doctor removed his mask and said, "The patient did not suffer from excessive bleeding. The stab wound to the intestines has been repaired. There is no danger to his life. After the surgery, he will need to replenish his nutrition and be careful about infection."

"Okay, thank you, thank you." Tianyi's suspended heart finally relaxed.

Susu excitedly said to Lan Yu, "He's fine, An Jing is fine. Didn't I say he'd be alright?"

"It's good that he's alright, it's good that he's alright." Lan Yu instantly felt her strength return.

Seeing An Jing being wheeled out, she hurried forward and followed the medical staff to the ward.

Tianyi also wanted to take a look. Susu stopped him and said, "Go back and change your clothes, prepare some nutritious food, and we'll come back to see him later."

Tianyi then realized how disheveled he was, looking down at his blood-stained vest.

"The doctor just said to be careful about wound infection. You should change into clean clothes before visiting him," Susu continued to persuade him.

Tianyi nodded, agreeing to go home with Susu first.

They arrived at the villa and got out of the car.

At the doorstep, Susu finally asked him with concern why someone would target him.

Tianyi did not hide anything. He told Susu that they had discovered Xi Xianya's father was pushed to his death by Bai Chengyi. They used this as leverage to get Bai Shouren to hand over the letters and photos between his mother and Bai Shou Zheng.

However, he later felt that the truth of the matter should not be concealed and reported it anonymously.

Bai Shou Ren must have guessed it was him and came back in a frenzy for revenge.

"I made a mistake. I shouldn't have used that tactic to get back those things that harmed my mother's reputation, and brought such disaster upon An Jing," Tianyi lamented with self-reproach.

Susu tightly gripped his arm and said, "To deal with such wicked and despicable people, you have to hit them where it hurts. This is not your fault; Bai Shou Ren is too shameless."

Tianyi looked at Susu with reddened eyes, disbelieving her words. She had always disliked his methods of fighting evil with evil.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Susu said with a smile. "I admit I don't have your ruthlessness. Although I often disagree with your methods, I understand that your actions are the most effective retaliation against those bad people! So, it's not your fault, and An Jing won't blame you either."

Tianyi felt a great sense of relief and tightly hugged Susu.

Susu let him hold her for a moment, then gently patted his back and said, "Alright, you haven't eaten anything yet, have you? Let's go inside quickly. You take a shower and change, and I'll reheat the food. We can eat soon."

Tianyi released her and led her into the villa.

After Susu and Tianyi had eaten something, they packed food and took it to the hospital, thinking that Lan Yu must not have eaten much either.

When they returned to the hospital, An Jing was in a sterile ward and had not yet woken up.

Lan Yu, wearing sterile protective clothing, was watching over him in the ward. They had to leave the food outside and looked at An Jing, who still had tubes inserted in his nose and mouth, through the glass.

Susu gestured towards the food containers they had brought. Lan Yu understood and gave them an "okay" gesture.

When they returned to the villa again, it was almost dawn.

Tianyi asked Susu to rest, worried that she, being pregnant, shouldn't be so tired.

Susu also wanted him to rest, but he couldn't rest peacefully. He held Susu and said, "You're carrying a child, and it's different for you. For the sake of the child, you need to rest more. An Jing is injured and hospitalized, and now all the group's affairs have fallen on me. I will be very busy lately, and I'm afraid I won't be able to take care of you as meticulously."

"I understand. You don't need to worry too much about me. Focus on your own matters."

Tianyi thought of something and said, "I've seriously considered it. After you've rested well, go see that Dr. Song and proceed with the first option. We won't keep this child; your health is the most important thing."

"But Dr. Song clearly has a second option..."

"Susu, I know. But the second option takes longer, and the risks will be greater. Listen to me. We already have three children, sons and daughters, and I am very content, truly. Don't risk yourself for the sake of having another child, understand?" Tianyi said, gripping her shoulders firmly.
