Chapter 711 He's Almost Gone Mad Too

He pulled Susu onto the boat and immediately went to the cockpit, attempting to start it.

"Tianyi, did your punches kill Tom just now?" Susu asked nervously.

Unable to start the boat and knowing Susu was still worried about Yang Sijie, Qin Tianyi angrily retorted, "Shut up! Whether it's Tom or Yang Sijie, they both deserved to die!"

Susu hadn't seen him yell at her like this in a long time. She could only purse her lips tightly, trying to suppress her worry for Yang Sijie, and remained silent.

Qin Tianyi tried many more times before finally starting the boat, sailing out of the cave and towards the sea.

During the week they hid here, he had studied the entire structure of both boats thoroughly in his spare time.

The boat Alan had taken was filled with red liquid; that was the cargo he needed to deliver to the pharmaceutical factory.

The boat he was currently piloting had no cargo, only Alan's small laboratory and some living quarters.

Susu stood on the deck, gazing at the island receding further and further away, feeling as if she had dreamt of an island adventure.

She tried to convince herself that Tianyi was right; even if something happened to Yang Sijie and Tom, they deserved it... But why did Tom deserve it? He was merely an assistant Alan had found on the island.

She could never be as resolute as Qin Tianyi about certain people and matters. Therefore, even though they had escaped the island, she couldn't feel happy.

At some point, Tianyi adjusted the course and came out of the cockpit, standing beside her and saying, "Alan deceived you. He didn't imprison me. When we found you on the cliff, he pushed me directly off the cliff. I fell into the sea and luckily survived."

Susu was astonished and instantly became like a child who had made a mistake, throwing herself into his arms and hugging him tightly. "I'm sorry, I didn't know Alan would be so ruthless. I believed his words and foolishly thought that as long as I obeyed him, he would let you go... It turns out he thought you were already dead."

The thought of Tianyi not surviving after falling off the cliff terrified her.

So he had walked through the gates of hell again. Yet, when she first saw him, she thought he had escaped from confinement and was even angry at him for treating Yang Sijie so unreasonably.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I should have realized that the deranged Alan would try to kill you. I'm so stupid, so foolish..."

Seeing her so worried about him, Tianyi felt a little better and hugged her, saying, "I thought Alan might also try to kill you. I was terrified during those days in the cave, but I didn't dare to appear before him, for fear it would lead him to do something detrimental to you. Truly, the thought that you might also be in danger made me… made me almost go mad."

"He intended to kill me too, but Yang Sijie intervened," Susu looked at him, fearing he would get angry again. "After he knocked me out and brought me to that house, Yang Sijie remembered something when he saw me. He still had an impression of me. But I didn't have any other thoughts about him. It was just that Alan felt I was valuable again and wanted me to help him recover some memories."

He understood that Susu always valued the bond they shared from the orphanage, treating Su Kangxi and Yang Sijie the same way.

When he saw Yang Sijie lying on her, he couldn't control himself and said many hurtful things.

He hated Yang Sijie to the bone, but he also knew that if Yang Sijie died like this, Susu would be very sad.

He didn't want her to be sad anymore and said, "I only knocked Tom out. When he wakes up, he will take care of Yang Sijie. Yang Sijie won't die anytime soon."

"Thank you, husband."

They clarified what had happened to each of them these past few days and explained the misunderstandings.

Tianyi put his arm around her waist, rested his chin on her head, and nuzzled her gently. Feeling better, he said, "Don't stay on deck in the wind. Go to the cabin to rest. This boat isn't like the yacht before. I need to stay in the cockpit to adjust the course at all times."

Susu nestled in his arms, still heartbroken, saying, "You've suffered so much these past few days. You haven't rested well, have you? I'm not tired. Do you need my help?"

Tianyi lowered his head and kissed her hair. "Seeing you safe and sound, I don't feel tired. Be good, go rest. I'll handle the driving."

Susu lingered in his arms for a few seconds, hummed in agreement, and obediently went down to the cabin.

Tianyi stood on the deck, watching her enter the cabin until she was out of sight. After a moment of contemplation, he walked back into the cockpit.

He had just discovered that the wireless signal on this boat could be used to contact the outside. Should he immediately contact the police and tell them Yang Sijie and Alan's locations?

He didn't want to discuss this with Susu. He understood that Susu always had a soft spot for Yang Sijie.

He sighed softly, picked up the microphone in the cockpit, and called Su Kangxi.

"Su Kangxi, I have something to tell you."

On the other end of the phone, Su Kangxi, who was about to set out to sea again with the rescue team, was stunned and stammered, "Qin Tianyi, is that you? Qin Tianyi! You're alive!"

"Yes, it's me."

Su Kangxi asked, "Where is Sister Susu?"

"She's with me. We're both fine."

Su Kangxi's eyes widened in excitement. He was so overjoyed he didn't know what to say, babbling incoherently, "Do you know how worried we were? I was just about to set sail to continue searching for you. That, that Yanan, and the others have been weeping every day... Where are you now? How did you survive at sea? I'll come find you now..."

"Don't go out to sea. Give me the latitude and longitude coordinates of the island you're on, and we'll meet soon." Tianyi interrupted his rambling.

It seemed the news of their survival had already thrilled Officer Su to no end. As for Yang Sijie and Alan, he would explain everything in detail when they met.

Moreover, there were many things about Alan's behavior that puzzled him. It would be better to figure everything out and then hand over both Alan and Yang Sijie to the police.

"Okay, okay." Su Kangxi immediately provided the coordinates. He had gone out to sea several times in the past few days and had already memorized the latitude and longitude of Dos Island and its surroundings.

Tianyi curtly hung up.

Susu couldn't sleep in the cabin below. As soon as she closed her eyes, the images of Alan and Yang Sijie would appear in her mind, making her feel suffocated.

She decided to walk around the cabin. She saw a square table with several books on it, all related to chemical experiments and pharmaceutical principles.

She casually flipped through them, but it was like reading a foreign language. Her math and science were never good in school, and she couldn't understand these profound formulas and symbols at all.

As she quickly flipped through the books, she found an A4 paper folded and tucked inside.

Curiously, she opened it. It was a medical report. The results stated that the patient had late-stage bone cancer, and the cancer cells had already spread to the brain.
