She asked the receptionist, who then led her to the VIP lounge of the law firm.
Qin Tianyi appeared calm, speaking with the lawyer handling their divorce agreement.
"I'm sorry, I'm late," Gu Susu said, looking at the documents on the round table. "Is there anything that needs signing?"
The lawyer stood up and politely said, "Mrs. Qin, hello. Please have a seat."
Gu Susu sat in the empty seat next to Qin Tianyi. Without looking at her, Qin Tianyi said to the lawyer, "Lawyer Xiao, we can begin."
"Alright," Lawyer Xiao placed two copies of the divorce agreement in front of them. "Mr. Qin, Mrs. Qin, please review them. If either of you have any questions, feel free to ask."
Qin Tianyi stated decisively, "No need to read it. Where do I sign?"
Lawyer Xiao pointed to the signature lines on the documents. Qin Tianyi took out his pen and signed his name without hesitation.
"Does Mrs. Qin have any questions?" Seeing Qin Tianyi sign so readily, Gu Susu felt she couldn't be slow, lest he misunderstand her as still harboring feelings for the marriage.
She was already in a humble position before him; she couldn't lose face now. Without looking closely, she said, "No questions. Give me the pen."
Lawyer Xiao paused for a second before handing her his pen, then asked, "Mrs. Qin, no questions?"
"None," Gu Susu took the pen and began signing her name.
Qin Tianyi glanced at Lawyer Xiao, signaling him not to interfere.
Lawyer Xiao kept his lips sealed and said nothing further.
After the divorce procedures were completed, Gu Susu and Qin Tianyi left the law firm together.
When they reached the main entrance, Qin Tianyi displayed gentlemanly courtesy, asking, "To Mi Shang or back home? I'll drive you."
Gu Susu did not refuse. "Back home."
She thought she had already taken half a day off, and now that the divorce procedures with Qin Tianyi were done, she needed to go back and pack her things. There was no reason for her to continue living in his villa.
Qin Tianyi asked her to wait at the entrance and drove the car over.
She got into the car and sat in the passenger seat, rubbing her hands together. She said softly, "Can you do me a favor?"
"What is it?" Qin Tianyi focused on driving.
Gu Susu stammered slightly, "I... I haven't found a suitable place yet, so I can only pack my things and move as soon as I find a place."
"Alright."
"Also, Xiao Xingxing doesn't understand what's happening between us. Can you help me coax him, tell him you're going away for work and can't look after him anymore? That way, he won't be sad when he leaves with me..."

Just then, her phone emitted a short ring. She took it out of her bag and saw a bank notification message.
Thirty thousand yuan had suddenly appeared in one of her bank accounts. The sender's name was Qin Tianyi.
"You received the money?" The car had arrived at the villa and stopped.
Gu Susu unbuckled her seatbelt and glared at him. "Why did you give me so much money? I don't want it."
"You gave up Xiao Xingxing's custody, so I should give you some compensation. Take it. This amount is nothing to me."
Gu Susu understood what he was saying and said nervously, "I never gave up Xiao Xingxing's custody! Never!"
"Is that so? But you didn't hesitate at all when you signed just now." Qin Tianyi stopped the car, turned off the engine, and looked at her with amusement.
Gu Susu immediately realized something was wrong. She quickly rummaged through her bag for the divorce agreement and frantically flipped through the pages. An additional agreement fell out.
She stared at the additional agreement, her mind going blank, an indescribable panic washing over her.
"What is this? Isn't this the divorce agreement? Why is this paper tucked inside?"
Qin Tianyi then burst into laughter. "That child and I get along quite well. You taking him around and not being able to raise him properly is worse than me raising him. It'll be so much easier for you after you divorce me."
Gu Susu held up the additional agreement and said, "I didn't even see this paper clearly. This doesn't count. Give Xiao Xingxing back to me!"
Qin Tianyi snatched the paper from her hand and pointed to her signature on it. "Your signature is here. Look at the reason you gave me custody: unable to raise him, legal and valid. With your current income, you can't even afford Xiao Xingxing's kindergarten fees..."
Gu Susu's hands trembled as she snatched the additional agreement back from him and, in her anger, tore it to shreds. "The child is mine! He has nothing to do with you, you can't take him away!"
"It doesn't matter if you destroy this copy you have. I have another one, and the law firm has a copy on file. I've already instructed someone to start the formal adoption process. You have one week to move out yourself. Don't even think about taking Xiao Xingxing." With that, Qin Tianyi opened the car door and got out, as if shaking dust off his clothes, ridding himself of her.
Gu Susu felt her vision darken. She stumbled out of the car and blocked Qin Tianyi. "Stop right there! We agreed, I give you those documents, you divorce me, and let me go..."
Qin Tianyi chuckled dismissively. "Yes, we're divorced. You're not my wife anymore, you're free. Hurry up and contact your man outside, find a place, and move out!"
Gu Susu spread her arms, continuing to block him, and said loudly, "No, it's not like this! You still haven't let me go... You know, Xiao Xingxing is my life. I can't abandon him and leave! Why... why are you doing this?"
"Xiao Xingxing and I get along well. I like him. He's cleaner than you."

But she hadn't expected him to set such a trap. He said he would divorce her and let her go, but was instead threatening her by other means!
