Chapter 358 This is too interesting

"Young Master Huo, if we go to the police station to testify, we'll all be implicated," one of the bolder men said.

Young Master Huo walked over and, with an imposing aura that towered over the man, slapped him on the head. "Who is 'we'? You acted on your own, didn't you? Figure out how to get the person out yourself. Don't drag us into this. If you can't get them out, don't expect me to placate my old man and help your family get favors!"

The man inwardly lamented his decision to speak up, wondering why he had been the only one to voice his concern.

"Are you going or not?" Young Master Huo pressed him again.

Given Young Master Huo's superior background, which they could only dream of, the man, despite his reluctance, dared not offend this "King of Hell." With a crestfallen expression, he said, "Alright, this matter is on me. I'll make sure Miss Wei, that crazy woman... no, Miss Wei, comes out of the police station unharmed."

"Then go now!" Gu Susu yelled at the man.

She didn't care what Young Master Huo was plotting. The priority was getting Ya Nan out of the police station.

"Yes, yes." The man now treated Gu Susu's words as Young Master Huo's command. He quickly took out his phone, made a call, and headed towards the police station. He had no choice but to face the consequences of his own actions.

The others were relieved that Young Master Huo's anger hadn't been directed at them. They then asked with a grin, "Young Master Huo, the next venue is booked. Are we still going?"

Young Master Huo waved them off. "You guys go ahead. I have something else to attend to."

Gu Susu ignored his schemes. Since it was inconvenient for her to go to the police station and supervise the man, she unceremoniously told Young Master Huo, "Leave me your contact information. If my friend isn't out of the police station by tomorrow morning, I'll report you to the police! What's wrong can't be made right, and what's right can't be made wrong. If you continue to act so lawlessly, you'll face retribution sooner or later!"

With that, she righteously returned to the club.

Young Master Huo watched her seemingly frail back, which nonetheless exuded an undeniable strength. This woman was interesting, very interesting.

The corner of his lips curved into a beautiful arc. He finally had a new target.

As soon as Gu Susu returned to the club, she saw Sister Jing also looking for her anxiously.

After learning about Ya Nan's incident, Sister Jing had been reprimanded by the boss, who instructed her to pay more attention to the hostesses in the future, requiring them to be searched for contraband before entering the club.

The club owner was shrewd, profiting only from expensive drinks and room charges, turning a blind eye to other matters. This way, he could absolve himself of any responsibility when trouble arose.

Emerging from the boss's office, Sister Jing immediately searched for Gu Susu, wanting to know what had happened with Wei Ya Nan. After a few days of quiet, she was causing trouble again, and this time it involved illegal activities. If the club was shut down, they would all be out of work.

Gu Susu gave her a knowing look and pulled her into a storage room, away from prying eyes. "Sister Jing, Ya Nan was framed. I live with her, and I've never seen her touch that stuff."

Sister Jing was skeptical. "Even if you live with her, you can't watch her twenty-four hours a day. If she wasn't using it herself or selling it here, how would the police find this?"

"She was framed by Young Master Huo and his group," Gu Susu whispered. "I just ran out to confront them about it."

Sister Jing immediately understood and said with concern, "I knew Young Master Huo and his gang wouldn't let Ya Nan off easily. What's the use of you confronting them? Did they hurt you?"

"No, I'm fine. They're too lawless to do something like this! No matter what, I will seek justice for Ya Nan." Gu Susu felt indignant as she thought about it.

"They are all second-generation rich kids we can't afford to offend. This is their usual behavior," Sister Jing said helplessly. "It looks like Ya Nan will have to spend a few years inside. She should reflect on herself too – who shouldn't she have provoked? Why did she have to provoke these people?"

Gu Susu recalled Young Master Huo saying he would send someone to get Ya Nan out. She wondered if he had a sudden change of heart, but still held onto a sliver of hope.

"Sister Jing, after work, can you help me check at the police station? When I confronted them earlier, Young Master Huo said... he said he could let Ya Nan go."

Sister Jing looked astonished and disbelieving. "Just because you argued with them a few words, Young Master Huo is willing to let Ya Nan go?"

"Perhaps my words made him have a change of heart."

Sister Jing laughed as if she had heard a joke. "A change of heart? If you talk about a change of heart to these people, they'll laugh their heads off."

"Since he promised, we can only hope he keeps his word," Gu Susu said, both resigned and resolute. "If he goes back on his word, I'll go find him again. I definitely won't let Ya Nan be wrongly imprisoned!"

Sister Jing found her, despite her apparent fragility, to be stubbornly strong and not to be underestimated.

"Alright, I'll go inquire for you after work. I know you prefer not to be in the spotlight, so go home and wait for my news."

"Thank you."

...

At the police station, Wei Ya Nan faced questioning from Su Kangxi and a female police officer with a flippant, indifferent demeanor.

The female officer asked, "Name?"

"The person next to you knows," Wei Ya Nan replied with a smile, glancing at Su Kangxi, who was in plain clothes.

The female officer noticed her captain beside her but quickly adopted a stern tone. "Name?"

"Wei Ya Nan," she answered in a peculiar, affected tone.

"Age?"

"Twenty-four."

"Occupation?"

Seeing Su Kangxi sitting nearby and remaining silent, and with a blank expression, Wei Ya Nan lost her desire to answer properly. She slapped the table in front of her. "What are you asking? Just have the police officer next to you fill out a form for me. He knows everything about me, even the mole on my body!"

The female officer immediately slammed the table and yelled at her, "What do you think you're doing? This is a police station, not some disreputable place! If you spout any more nonsense, you can be charged with resisting law enforcement! Answer the questions properly!"

Wei Ya Nan maintained her sarcastic, disdainful expression. "I'm not spouting nonsense. Ask your colleague."

The female officer grew even angrier, pointing at her to make her behave. Su Kangxi, who had been silent until now, spoke up. "Let me handle the questioning. You go get her a cup of coffee."

"Captain Su..."

"Go out first. I need to have a word with her," Su Kangxi's tone was irrefutable.

The female officer stood up straight, shot Wei Ya Nan another glare, and left the interrogation room.

"Now that you've resumed your police identity and even got promoted, you're quite the authority," Wei Ya Nan remarked sarcastically.

Su Kangxi turned off the surveillance in the interrogation room, picked up the bag of pills on the desk, and walked over to her. Both angry and pained, he said, "Do you know that with this bag alone, you could be jailed for years? Answer me properly, is this yours? Did you use it yourself, or were you selling it?"
