Qin Tianyi's approach to early childhood education was surprisingly thorough. She inwardly sighed, thinking that perhaps Little Star would turn out just like Qin Tianyi, a cold and handsome man.
"Who's talking bad about me?" Qin Tianyi walked in with a smile, amused that the little fellow would complain to Su Su the moment he saw her.
Little Star nestled in Su Su's arms and whispered, "Mommy came back today, I don't want to go to the study."
Su Su quickly shielded Little Star, saying, "He's still young, don't be too strict with him. Learning too much will rob him of a happy childhood."
Qin Tianyi said helplessly, "I wasn't planning on sending him to the study to read today. Seeing you two looking like you're in cahoots, I feel like I'm the superfluous one."
"Are you jealous of the child? Aren't you ashamed?" Su Su immediately laughed at him.
Qin Tianyi saw how close the mother and son were after their reunion, leaving him no room to speak. He said sourly, "I'm going to the room to take a bath. You play with him for a while longer."
Saying that, he turned and went into the bedroom, secretly amused at himself for being so grown up yet truly jealous of his own son.
Su Su spent a few hours with Little Star. After he got tired and fell asleep, she left the children's room and slowly walked into the once familiar bedroom.
Chen Ma and Xiao Mei had already tidied the bed, changing all the sheets and pillowcases to a vibrant red. It reminded her of their wedding night, when everything was also a sea of red.
However, she had been too drunk that night, in a daze, and didn't remember much about how their wedding night had passed.
After her moment of reflection, she suddenly realized Qin Tianyi was nowhere to be seen. Just as she was about to turn to look for him, she unexpectedly fell into his arms.
He was lean, with well-defined muscles, and exuded the scent of shower gel.
Her heart pounded. She wondered why he wasn't already dressed if he had said he was going to take a bath hours ago, yet he still smelled as if he had just finished.
"Stop fooling around. Little Star just fell asleep, and I need to take a bath too." In his arms, she inadvertently lowered her head, her face instantly flushing red, daring not to look. "Why aren't you wearing any clothes?"
He leaned down and chuckled, "I've waited so long I've taken several baths. If I put clothes on, I'd just have to take them off again, so why bother."
Su Su awkwardly pushed against him, "What's the rush? Let me go take a bath."
But he couldn't wait any longer. He had been abstinent for a long time, and the moment he saw her, he couldn't control himself.
Her body, her scent, would make him addicted.
"It's alright, it's not too late to take a bath later," he said, kissing her possessively.
She couldn't help but reciprocate, and sparks flew between them. They twirled a few times, entangled, and fell onto the bed.
Just then, Little Star's crying voice suddenly sounded from outside the door, "Mommy, I want Mommy..."
"The child is awake." Su Su stopped abruptly, glaring at Qin Tianyi.
Qin Tianyi wanted to continue, "Don't mind him, Chen Ma and Xiao Mei are here."
But Little Star outside seemed to be trying to push open their bedroom door, calling out, "Mommy, Mommy, where are you..."
Su Su quickly pushed Qin Tianyi away, hastily threw the quilt over him, and said, "I forgot to lock the door when I came in. The child will see."
She quickly tidied her clothes, left Qin Tianyi, and went to open the door. She scooped up Little Star and comforted him, "Don't cry, don't cry, Mommy isn't gone, I'm here, I'm here with you."
Qin Tianyi, wrapped in the quilt, gritted his teeth as he searched for clothes, wishing he could kneel and beg the little ancestor to stop being a nuisance.
If he had known this would happen, he wouldn't have been so eager to bring Su Su back to see their child.
Su Su, heartbroken, prepared to carry Little Star back to the children's room. Little Star, resting on her shoulder, pointed at the bed in their bedroom and said, "Can I sleep with Mommy and Daddy?"
Su Su, carrying the child, turned and walked back into the bedroom, saying, "Of course, you can..."
"No!"
Qin Tianyi and she spoke at the same time.
Little Star's eyes welled up with tears, and he looked at Su Su with a wronged expression, saying, "Mommy, Daddy doesn't agree."
Qin Tianyi quickly coaxed him, "It's not that I disagree. You're a little man, you should sleep in your own room, on your own bed."
"But you're an adult, and you still don't sleep alone, you want to sleep with Mommy."
Qin Tianyi's handsome face froze instantly. He was truly a little ancestor.
Su Su glared at him with amusement, then stroked Little Star's head and said, "Alright, you can sleep between me and Daddy today. You won't be scared anymore, right?"
Little Star immediately broke free from her happily and climbed onto their large bed, reaching for the quilt Qin Tianyi was wrapped in.
Qin Tianyi took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to throw him out, and stopped him from pulling the quilt away, saying sternly, "Don't you dare pull my quilt."
Little Star discovered something and turned to smile at Su Su, "Mommy, Daddy isn't wearing clothes, how embarrassing, so embarrassing."
Su Su suppressed a smile and said, "Your dad is too hot, he needs to cool down."
Little Star also started to take off his clothes, saying, "Mommy, then I want to learn from Daddy and sleep without clothes."
"No learning," Qin Tianyi pushed Little Star down onto the bed, preventing him from moving around, "If you don't sleep quickly, believe it or not, I'll throw you out!"
Little Star ignored him, instead looking longingly at Su Su.
Su Su glared at Qin Tianyi from the edge of the bed, her expression seeming to say, "How can you be a father, bullying the young like this."
Qin Tianyi helplessly softened his facial features, smiled, and kissed Little Star's forehead, saying, "Good boy, sleep now. Do you want Daddy to sing you a lullaby..."
"I want Mommy to tell me a story," Little Star happily reached for Su Su's hand.
Su Su sat on Little Star's right, lifted another quilt, covered herself and Little Star, and asked softly, "What story do you want to hear, Mommy will tell you."
Qin Tianyi directly covered his head with the quilt, knowing that today was a complete washout.
The next morning, Little Star happily thought he wouldn't have to go to kindergarten and could continue playing with his mother at home.
During breakfast, Qin Tianyi, still annoyed that the little fellow had slept between them all night, drank his milk and said calmly, "Star, are you done eating? If you're done, it's time to go to kindergarten."
As soon as he said this, Little Star immediately looked up, his eyes wide, and protested, "I want to be with Mommy. What if Mommy leaves again after I go to kindergarten?"
Su Su felt a pang of heartache again, wanting to say that Little Star could stay home, and missing one day of kindergarten wouldn't matter.
But before she could speak, Qin Tianyi, with the absolute authority of the head of the household, said sternly to Little Star, "You don't have to go to kindergarten, but you can go to the study and copy the unmemorized ancient poems a hundred times."
Little Star immediately looked at Su Su again, seeking her help.
Just as Su Su was about to protect Little Star, Qin Tianyi frowned and said seriously, "Gu Su Su, you have no principles. If you teach the child to skip school from a young age, they'll want to skip school at the slightest trouble in the future. If they don't study well, what if they become a slacker?"
