Hearing her words, even Jie Ming couldn’t help but feel a twinge of envy.
After all, under normal circumstances, the completeness with which a wizard grasps a rule is like loading a video.
That final 1% is always the most difficult, the most time-consuming part.
And now, Viola had found a super accelerator that could make her “internet speed” skyrocket!
Jie Ming couldn’t help but smack his lips.
Was this the right script?
By all rights, as the transmigrator, it should be him who stumbles upon an opportunity in this battle and rapidly elevates his own power, right?
Ignoring whatever wild thoughts were swirling in Jie Ming’s mind, Viola’s face—usually tinged with a hint of playful amusement—was now etched solely with resolve.
Without the slightest hesitation, she decisively poured the “Soul Sublimation Potion” from her hand into her mouth.
The golden potion slid down her throat like a living thing, and in an instant, a majestic force far beyond imagination erupted from within her body. Her soul power began to surge upward at a speed visible to the naked eye!
Jie Ming could clearly sense her aura growing rapidly.
The mental fluctuations emanating from her body broke through the shackles of a third-level wizard like rolling waves, unimpeded, almost effortlessly ascending to the realm of a fourth-level wizard in a flash.
Immediately after, her aura soared once more, charging toward even greater heights.
A few seconds later, it shattered the barrier of the fourth level, directly elevating her to the standard of a fifth-level wizard!
The runes on her skin glowed with even greater solidity, and in her silver-gray eyes, the brilliant luster of rule manifestation flickered.
However, when Viola’s aura slammed into the threshold for advancing to the sixth level, the momentum clearly slowed.
That invisible barrier was incredibly resilient; even with the boost from the “Soul Sublimation Potion,” it was difficult to breach it in an instant.
The rule power radiating from her body grew stagnant, as if mired in a quagmire.
But just then…
The living Flame-Frost Plane on the light screen seemed to sense some enormous, lethal threat. Its eyes, formed from swirling red and blue gaseous masses, emitted bursts of intense “soul fluctuations”!
Yet this time, the soul fluctuations were no longer filled with rage and roars.
What it conveyed was information akin to a heart-wrenching wail of anguish.
This despairing howl and feedback of agony resonated perfectly with Viola’s “Rule of Pain.”
As Viola’s level rose, the pain felt by the living Flame-Frost Plane intensified dramatically.
This suffering had transcended mere physical torment, delving deep into its soul origin, inflicting an unprecedented agony on this planar behemoth that even disrupted the operation of its core energy.
And the extreme pain endured by the living Flame-Frost Plane, through the resonance of their rules, fed back to Viola swiftly and vividly!
The insights from this vast, plane-level torment acted like the finest catalyst, injecting into Viola’s soul as it battered the advancement barrier!
In that instant, Viola’s previously stalled aura surged anew, infused with fresh vitality, breaking through like a hot knife through butter.
The sixth-level barrier suppressing her shattered utterly in a silent boom.
Buzz buzz buzz…
The moment Viola’s advancement succeeded, a vast and majestic mental force—yet laced with utter iciness—swept across the area like a tidal wave, unmasked and unrestrained.
In that mental force, Jie Ming clearly perceived a familiar yet alien aura.
There was no doubt that the one with such power on this ship-plane was the other sixth-level wizard—Wizard Augustine!
Upon sensing Viola’s aura, Wizard Augustine was utterly astonished by her successive leaps in level.
Even though he had known of Viola’s plan in advance, this seamless promotion process still exceeded his expectations.
But immediately after, a surge of delight pierced through Augustine’s icy aura.
A sixth-level wizard—especially one who could substantially influence a living plane—would have a decisive impact on the current battle.
The effects of the “Soul Sublimation Potion” on Viola could still persist for a time.
This window was perfect for allowing Viola to assist Augustine and the ship-plane at her absolute peak, without reservation.
Both Augustine and Viola understood the preciousness of this interval and tacitly intensified their assault on the living plane.
Soon, Master Augustine’s cold directives once again transmitted through the plane’s internal maginet to every wizard’s terminal.
Under his precise command and Viola’s support, the ship-plane’s suppressive force against the living plane rose another notch.
With the aid of Viola, this newly ascended sixth-level “Pain”-system wizard, the Flame-Frost Plane immediately fell into dire straits, howling in misery!
A sixth-level wizard, having fully mastered a rule, could impose “rule solidification” on other entities.
For instance, the ship-plane’s main cannons, amplified by Viola’s rule power, saw no increase in raw destructive force, but each strike now inflicted far greater agony on the target.
The Flame-Frost Plane had no time to adapt to pain of this magnitude; flaws emerged in its energy manipulation.
Soon, the outermost layer of the living plane’s energy defenses was torn asunder.
Energy beams tens of kilometers wide pierced the outer defenses, striking the “Flame Sun Realm” of the living Flame-Frost Plane.
They blasted a bottomless chasm in that region, halting the continuous eruptions of molten lava!
At the same time, the densely packed space-annihilation cannons on either side of the ship-plane unleashed even greater might.
They no longer merely created simple spatial rifts but directly vaporized massive swathes of the living plane’s colossal body into the void.
Everything within those areas—matter, energy alike—was utterly erased, becoming nothingness.
Such wounds were, to the living plane, nothing short of flesh being gouged from its very heart.
Though the Flame-Frost Plane continued its desperate counterattacks, the torrents of molten rock spewing from its enormous “Magma Maw” surged even more ferociously than before.
Its “red-blue eyes” also unleashed fiercer elemental catastrophes.
But these assaults grew chaotic and feeble, devoid of strategy, resembling the death throes of despair.
Many attacks veered off their intended paths due to interference from Viola’s “Rule of Pain,” posing no effective threat to the ship-plane.
It emitted soul-shaking wails of agony at an unprecedented frequency!
Yet the living plane’s resilience far exceeded the expectations of everyone present!
Even in its current torment, even after sustaining heavy damage before the battle’s onset, even after Viola’s ascension to the sixth level plunged it into extreme disadvantage—seemingly on the verge of total collapse.
No matter what, it could always muster another surge of power in the next instant to launch a fresh counteroffensive!
Its core origin was powerful beyond imagination.
No matter the blows or torments it endured, it stubbornly held on, persisting in the fight!
After all, living planes were exceedingly rare entities, with scant records available.
No one had anticipated that this sixth-level being possessed such exaggerated combat prowess and vitality.
Even in such overwhelming disadvantage, it tenaciously endured!
This time, even Viola couldn’t help but furrow her brow.
The excitement and fervor in her eyes were now overshadowed by a trace of gravity.
For she knew that if this dragged on, once the “Soul Sublimation Potion” wore off, the enemy might truly turn defeat into victory.
At that point, the situation would become utterly irredeemable!
But the current issue was—they lacked a chance for a killing blow, an opportunity to decisively end the battle.
Jie Ming also discerned the deadlock in the ongoing war.
Both sides were locked in stalemate, neither able to crush the other in short order.
He himself had no solutions; his level rendered him unable to sway the course of such a grand planar conflict.
But just then, he was struck by a profound, wondrous intuition.
This sensation did not stem from sight or sound but from a resonance deep in his soul, carrying a dark, obscure, yet eerily familiar aura.
Jie Ming hurriedly focused on the light screen, scrutinizing the state of the living Flame-Frost Plane.
Soon, he pinpointed the problem.
Through the ceaseless barrages between the two planes and the ongoing torment of the “Rule of Pain,” the living Flame-Frost Plane could no longer maintain its complete surface structure.
The outermost layer of matter covering it was being visibly eroded away by the ship-plane’s assaults.
Hard rock strata, frozen glaciers, erupting sulfurous gases… all were disintegrating!
In their place, deeper, more core regions—enveloping vast quantities of volatile energy—were slowly exposing themselves to the void.
However, this did not make the living Flame-Frost Plane any easier to deal with.
Quite the contrary: its core surface was not only exceedingly tough but also encircled by immense turbulent elemental energies, forming a natural protective membrane that rendered fatal strikes nearly impossible.
Instead, the loss of its outer matter allowed the living Flame-Frost Plane to more readily mobilize its internal energies for even more ferocious counterattacks.
Jie Ming’s gaze swept over those radiant, overflowing energies.
Magma, frost, storms, lightning… myriad elemental forces churned in the living plane’s core region.
Yet amid these dazzling elemental energies, a faint, black power laced with a unique aura emerged stealthily, unnoticed by any of the wizards present.
But Jie Ming knew full well that it was this black power that had triggered his intense intuition.
Because it was the “Baleful Yin Sea” he had sealed away before!
More precisely, what stirred Jie Ming’s sense was not the Baleful Yin Sea itself, but the “Baleful Prohibition Curse” he had placed at its core as a seal and suppressor!
