Gentle Sleep Instructor

Chapter 379 Danger

Chapter 174 The KTV

Hearing this, Jiang Cheng stopped and looked to his side. They had already entered a fork in the pedestrian street.

This place was relatively secluded. Not far away was an old-looking residential area, with a dark green bicycle shed in front of it.

The surrounding area was filled with old businesses.

"Fire Phoenix KTV." Fatty looked at the broken sign above, only half of which was lit, and suddenly had an uneasy feeling.

Jiang Cheng stared at a few black cars with obscured license plates not far away, then looked away and said, "We're here, this is the place."

"See that milk tea shop?" Jiang Cheng said to the two, "Go there and wait for me."

"Doctor." Fatty looked at the dilapidated sign of the KTV and asked, "What are you going to do?"

About two hours later, Fatty, who was absentmindedly sucking on his milk tea straw, was suddenly patted. Chu Jiu pointed in the direction of the KTV and said, "Look, he's out."

The three of them met at a secluded corner, watching Jiang Cheng skillfully counting the banknotes in his hand. Fatty felt that this guy must have been a printing press in his previous life.

Jiang Cheng, reeking of alcohol, stuffed the money into his pocket and gave a satisfied smile.

Fatty looked at him suspiciously, and after a moment, he exclaimed, "Doctor, you didn't go to Room 717 to buy information, did you?"

Buying intelligence from a ghost, was that even humanly possible? Everyone was trying to escape the ghost's pursuit, while the doctor's thought process was telling everyone how to outsmart the ghost.

"Can you trust what a ghost says?" Fatty asked, agitated.

With his hands in his pockets, Jiang Cheng squinted, his face flushed, and said, "I'm not afraid of her lying, I'm afraid she won't talk."

......

"Hey," Wei Jin Ting asked, "Is there any point in fixing this computer?"

He carried the broken computer out just to throw it far away, after all, he already knew there was something strange inside.

But Liu Guo obviously didn't think so. He gave a good enough reason, he believed that there might still be some other clues inside, which Wei Jin Ting hadn't discovered yet.

"Once it's fixed, take it to your room to watch," Wei Jin Ting said angrily.

Liu Guo wasn't annoyed and smiled, "Okay."

Wu Shi always stayed by their side, not participating in their conversations, seemingly not interested in the computer at all.

After they left the apartment, they turned right and walked along the street until they finally found a computer repair shop on the street corner.

Liu Guo took the computer from Wei Jin Ting and took it in to be repaired.

Wu and Wei Jin Ting waited outside.

"I say, Brother Wu," Wei Jin Ting said, shamelessly approaching him, "I've noticed you don't like to talk. That's not a good habit. During missions, everyone needs to communicate more to survive together happily..."

Saying this, he suddenly stopped, because Wu turned his head, his icy eyes looking at his shoulder, where Wei Jin Ting's hand was resting.

"Hehe." Wei Jin Ting licked his lips, took his hand back, and rubbed it embarrassedly, "Speaking of which, can you fix computers?" He asked casually.

Wu glanced at him, "No."

"No way, no way." Wei Jin Ting followed him closely, sticking to him like a plaster, squinting and saying, "I have a feeling you definitely can?"

"If you could fix it, we wouldn't have to come here." Wei Jin Ting continued to ramble, "And you know they can't fix it, it's just a waste of money."

Hearing this, Wu stopped, the always low-slung brim of his hat lifted a little, and after a long while...

"Are you sure?" His tone was terrifyingly calm, with only a slight rise at the end.

Wei Jin Ting suddenly felt the surrounding air turn cold, and the sunlight shining on him dimmed a lot.

It turned out that a cloud had floated overhead, blocking the sun.

But Wei Jin Ting was still the unkillable cockroach, he stared at the half of Wu's face that was revealed, and the next moment, he grinned, revealing a row of white teeth: "Now... I'm sure."

"It's no good." Liu Guo's voice came. He was carrying a bag, and with the other hand, he stuffed the broken computer into the bag, running out and saying, "They said it's completely broken, and even if they could fix it, there wouldn't be enough time."

Wei Jin Ting pursed his lips, turned his head, and put on that cheap expression again, exaggerating, "Oh dear, that's terrible. I was just telling Brother Wu what we'd do if it couldn't be fixed?"

"It looks like we can only start from another direction." Liu Guo exhaled and said helplessly.

"Let's go to the coffee shop and take a look." Wu said.

Wei Jin Ting and Liu Guo both looked at him. Since the group formed, they had never heard him make any suggestions.

Everyone else made the decisions, and he just followed along.

"Didn't you say that coffee shop appeared in the video scene?" Wu said slowly, "Then let's go and see, maybe there will be a new discovery."

Wei Jin Ting paused and said softly, "Isn't it dangerous there?"

He acted rather fearful, touching his arms from time to time, as if he had goosebumps, "Lu Huaxu died there."

Wu suddenly smiled, his voice not only not indifferent, but sounding strangely gentle, "Don't be afraid." He said softly, "A person destined to die is in danger anywhere."

But strangely, it seemed that only Wei Jin Ting heard the latter part of his sentence.

After Liu Guo stopped a taxi, he naturally sat in the passenger seat. After the car started, it quickly drove towards the coffee shop.

......

Around noon, Jiang Cheng and the others returned to the apartment. As soon as they entered the apartment gate, they ran into Jiao Tailang and his group.

Hua Luo sat obediently in the corner, the first to see someone come in.

"Why are you back?" Chu Jiu asked.

Wan Yuanning, leaning against the pillar, looked at the three and said calmly, "Waiting for you."

Jiang Cheng's eyes swept over the three, quickly stopping on Jiao Tailang's face. He hadn't spoken all along, and his emotions seemed rather strange.

Not afraid, just rather odd.

"What happened?" Jiang Cheng asked directly.

"Nothing." Jiao Tailang avoided the topic, looked at Jiang Cheng and said, "We are here waiting for you, is to tell you something." He said seriously, "We just went to Yu Youwei's model agency, and found some new information."

Just as Jiang Cheng and the others were waiting for the rest, Hua Luo suddenly interrupted, "There are too many people here, let's talk somewhere else."

Jiang Cheng's eyes narrowed, then he nodded, "Okay."

Led by Hua Luo, they came to a teahouse, found a quiet private room on the second floor, and as soon as they closed the door, Jiao Tailang's voice rang out: "We found some of her former colleagues at Yu Youwei's company, and they confirmed that Yu Youwei and Li Maoshen were indeed together."

"Were together." Chu Jiu asked, "What does that mean?"

"Hoo -" Jiao Tailang exhaled, took the tea that Hua Luo handed over, and took a small sip: "It means that their attitude towards this relationship was just playing around. Yu Youwei changed men more often than she changed clothes, and Li Maoshen was even worse."

Jiao Tailang pursed his lips and said, "When he was with Yu Youwei, he still had a girlfriend."
