Gentle Sleep Instructor
Chapter 23 Medicine
Jiang Cheng poured himself a bowl of soup, gulped it down, and set the bowl down with satisfaction. He pulled out a tissue and wiped his mouth, while Fatty had barely managed to finish half of his first bowl.
Jiang Cheng asked with concern, "Why aren't you eating the vegetables?"
Fatty glanced at the two small pieces of potato remaining on the plate, and the lonely cabbage leaf swirling in the soup, then slowly put down his chopsticks. "Doctor," he said, looking up, "I'm on a diet."
"Oh," Jiang Cheng nodded, "Then I won't force you to eat."
After the meal, Fatty went to the kitchen to wash the dishes as usual. Jiang Cheng sat at the desk in the studio, the crisp sound of keyboard clicks revealing a hint of nonchalance.
After washing the dishes, Fatty sat on the sofa and asked Jiang Cheng if the studio only dealt with patients' mental health issues. Jiang Cheng gave an affirmative answer.
Fatty blinked, as if there was something he couldn't understand. "Doctor, I saw a lot of medicine in the kitchen cabinet just now, but most of them are for treating external injuries and relieving pain. Why are you stocking up on these?"
Jiang Cheng looked very healthy. Fatty even thought that even if he ate his fill, he might not be a match for him. It was obviously not something he would need.
Unexpectedly, when Jiang Cheng heard Fatty's words, he seemed to seriously consider it, then went to the kitchen and found a box of cooling and pain-relieving patches.
He tore open the box, took out a patch, and then turned around, staring at Fatty with a scrutinizing look.
He also lowered his head from time to time to look at the pain-relieving patch in his hand.
Fatty was confused by Jiang Cheng's gaze, and a ominous premonition suddenly arose in his heart. "Doctor," he said in a panic, "Why are you looking at me?"
"It's nothing," Jiang Cheng put away the pain-relieving patch and put it back in its place, then walked back to the desk and sat down, as if nothing had happened.
Fatty was still suspicious at first, but when he thought about the nightmare, he felt that nothing else mattered.
The afternoon passed in a daze. Taking advantage of the time when there were no customers, Fatty tidied up the front of the door again. When he came back, he actually fell asleep on the sofa.
When he woke up again, it was already dark. Fatty rubbed his eyes and found that Jiang Cheng was gone from the desk. He turned his head and found that Jiang Cheng was not in the kitchen either. He woke up with a start.
It was already dark, and no one could tell when the nightmare would come. Without Jiang Cheng, any nightmare would be a disaster for him.
"Doctor?" Fatty shouted.
It was quiet all around, and no one answered.
Fatty panicked. Just as he was about to go upstairs to look for him, the door suddenly opened, and a slender shadow was cast in first.
Jiang Cheng walked in carrying large and small bags, and closed the door casually.
"Doctor!" Fatty said excitedly, as if he had seen hope. "Where did you go?"
Jiang Cheng handed some of the bags to Fatty, who stepped forward. Fatty saw that they were small boxes, all of which were medicines he had seen in the cabinet in the afternoon.
"This is..."
"Medicine," Jiang Cheng took off his coat and hung it on the hanger, turning his head and said, "Just put it in the cabinet you saw this afternoon."
"Doctor, why are you buying so much medicine?"
Jiang Cheng came to the shelf where the medical records were placed, took out a red-marked medical record, and casually replied while opening it, "To use."
Fatty's doubts deepened. There were only two people here, himself and him, and neither of them was injured. Who was he going to use so much medicine on?
Suddenly, a scene he had seen in the villa flashed in his mind. Fatty's thighs went cold, and cold sweat poured down in an instant.
He guessed that Jiang Cheng might be a pervert, planning to imprison him for a long time, just like the family in the villa in the mission.
Those external injury medicines and painkillers were prepared for him, to prevent him from dying from serious injuries.
The more Fatty thought about it, the more likely it seemed. Jiang Cheng's initial claim that he wanted to drive him away now seemed like a trick to catch him.
No wonder he was able to crack the conspiracy of the villa family so quickly. They were the same kind of people!
That's why he saw through their trap at a glance!
He had to find a way to escape from here as soon as possible.
Just as his eyes were rolling around, racking his brains to find a reason to leave the studio without arousing Jiang Cheng's suspicion, Jiang Cheng's voice suddenly came: "No one would be interested in imprisoning and abusing a fat man."
Fatty looked at Jiang Cheng suddenly and found that he was leaning against the desk, looking at the medical record in his hand without even raising his head.
Jiang Cheng turned a page and continued, "Your legs are on your body, you can leave at any time, but I want to tell you, once you leave this door, don't even think about coming back."
"Can I really leave?" Hearing what Jiang Cheng said, Fatty became hesitant again. Although the person in front of him seemed a little strange and his thinking was a little more biased than normal people, he didn't seem like the kind of vicious person.
After a few seconds, Fatty made up his mind and said, "Doctor, I think it's better for me to stay. We can take care of each other."
He paused, licked his lips, and said embarrassedly, "But can you tell me what these medicines are for?"
"Hoo—" Jiang Cheng seemed to have solved the problem at hand, put away the medical record, then looked up at Fatty, his eyes seeming to ask if he really wanted to know.
Fatty nodded repeatedly.
Jiang Cheng pursed his lips helplessly, as if after some serious thought. "Okay," he sighed, "Then I'll tell you, but you must not tell this secret, it's very important to me."
Fatty was infected by Jiang Cheng's aura and became serious, straightening his back, the scene as solemn as an oath.
He vaguely guessed that Jiang Cheng might be suffering from some unspeakable hidden disease, so he needed these medicines.
He remembered that when facing Chen Xiaomeng, Jiang Cheng once said that 30 seconds was enough.
He might not have been lying.
Fatty suddenly began to sympathize with the good-looking man in front of him.
He sighed that God was indeed fair, and everyone had pain hidden in the deepest part of their hearts that was unknown to others, and now Jiang Cheng was actually willing to confide in him.
Thinking of this, Fatty's eyes were full of encouragement when he looked at Jiang Cheng. "Doctor, I'm ready, you can start."
"Okay," Jiang Cheng nodded, "The bandages are used to tie you up, the medical tape can seal your mouth well to prevent you from shouting and attracting the police, and the painkiller can ensure that you stay awake while being abused. I also have two boxes of stimulants, but please understand, these things are not easy to buy, and the price is relatively expensive, so whether you can use them depends on your luck," Jiang Cheng seemed to have suddenly thought of something, and continued: "By the way, I also prepared some hallucinogens and plan to mix them in the water you drink, don't worry, I'll get them for you to drink later."
Fatty: "???"
