Chapter 627 The End

Chapter 12 Countermeasures

Seeing that he had been exposed, the pair of deep blue eyes of “Luo He” standing at the door turned venomous, and intense curses flowed in the depths of his eyes.

A moment later, his body began to twist, his skin bulging strangely. Then, countless sharp rice straws pierced out from under his skin, turning him into a broken sack.

Even so, "Luo He" stared at her, seemingly unable to understand how he had been exposed.

Fu Fu narrowed her eyes, her mouth widening to reveal her cute tiger teeth, and said in an educational tone, "Listen up, grandma will teach you a lesson. The person you’re impersonating may seem cold and aloof, but he’s actually warm-hearted underneath."

"If it was really something as dangerous as going to the Feng residence, he would never have asked me to come along." Fu Fu shrugged. "He would have gone alone to investigate everything, and then come back and tell us in a particularly calm tone."

Fu Fu pursed her lips, suddenly adopting a girlish posture, cupping her face as she reminisced, "Damn it! I always fall for his act!"

Whether "Luo He" couldn't understand or couldn't bear to listen, he mechanically turned around and wanted to walk into the depths of the mist.

His plan had failed, and there was no point in staying.

But before he could take a few steps, "Luo He" suddenly stopped, as if sensing something. Footsteps were coming from behind.

Scattered and careless footsteps.

"Don't be in such a hurry to leave, you've already come." Fu Fu rolled up her sleeves, stepped out of the door, and raised her chin at "Luo He," "Let's play."

"Squeak—"

"Squeak—"

His body trembled slightly, and Jiang Cheng felt vaguely that he was moving, but not walking. More like sitting in a wheelchair, being pushed along.

The slightly harsh friction sound beside his ear must be the sound of the wheels.

Behind him, he could also hear a series of footsteps.

Someone was pushing him, pushing the wheelchair he was sitting in. He instinctively felt that the person was a woman, because the footsteps were crisp.

In his subconscious, he was inexplicably certain that the woman had beautiful legs, and her feet were stepping on a pair of sharp high heels.

He tried to open his eyes, but he couldn't. Not because of him, but because someone had covered his eyes with something like an eye mask.

Not just his eyes, even his limbs were immobile. He could feel that his hands and feet were tied up with a rope that had no elasticity.

He moved slightly, and the clothes on his body were also uncomfortable. They weren't the kind he usually wore. It seemed that someone had changed them for him, and the texture was very rough.

Turn left.

Turn left again.

Then turn right...

He calculated silently in his heart. Although his mind was still fuzzy, it was like an instinct engraved in his bones.

After turning the last corner, he finally stopped.

"Tap."

"Tap."

"Tap."

"Creak—"

The woman who was pushing him stepped forward and opened a particularly old iron door.

Judging by the sound, Jiang Cheng even felt that the hinges of the iron door had rusted to death, otherwise, how could it make such a loud noise?

Then, the woman pushed him into the room behind the iron door, and then closed the door. The sharp footsteps gradually faded away, until they could no longer be heard.

The woman had left.

He was the only one left in the room.

It was very cold here, with a familiar sense of strangeness. Although the metaphor was a bit odd, that was how he felt with his eyes covered.

He had been here before, a long time ago.

After confirming that there was no one nearby, he began to save himself, first accumulating strength, and then suddenly exerting force. He naturally didn't expect to break free all at once.

What he wanted to do was to find a place where the binding wasn't so tight, and then use it as a breakthrough point.

Unfortunately, he was tied up like a zongzi (rice dumpling).

The other party was very cautious and didn't leave him any chance.

Just as he was thinking, he suddenly noticed an aura in another direction. He wasn't the only one here; there was another person!

That person was hiding in the darkness, he didn't know if they had been here for a long time, or if they had come in with him and the woman.

A moment later, he heard a crisp sound of metal clashing, not exactly pleasant to the ear, but it instinctively made his heart tremble.

Even with his eyes covered, he could still feel a flash of light in front of him.

It was a very fast knife, the sound of it being drawn from its sheath.

The light of the blade was clear as water, clean, sharp, and full of the desolation of an autumn wind sweeping away fallen leaves.

Someone was drawing a knife beside him...

Was he going to be killed?

Jiang Cheng suddenly felt a little nervous. He had only just woken up, his consciousness was still recovering, and he hadn't figured out where he was, or how he got here. Was he going to die already?

But then, his eyes suddenly lit up.

The faint white light stung his eyes, and he could only vaguely see a person standing in front of him, dressed in black, holding a slender knife in his hand.

The hand holding the knife was very steady. Two flashes of white light passed, and the restraints on his body snapped.

Jiang Cheng's whole body was numb. Even raising his arm felt difficult. He moved his body slightly, wanting to try to stand up.

The white light came from a white incandescent lamp, hanging in the position above his head, and it was also the only lighting equipment in the room.

Clearly, the man in black didn't want to kill him, otherwise, there was no reason to help him remove the eye mask and untie the restraints.

"Who are you?" Jiang Cheng asked, "Where is this?"

Originally, he wanted to ask why are you saving me, but the words came to his lips, and he swallowed them back. After all, the other party wasn't killing him now, but it wasn't clear what he would do to him later.

But he didn't get an answer. His eyes seemed to have a problem, everything he looked at was dizzy, and he could only see a rough outline.

The whole world gave him an unreal feeling, as if it was covered with a gray filter.

The man in black slowly retreated, and finally, he strangely merged with the wall. Through the dizzy halo, he only remembered that the other party had a pair of deep red eyes.

From beginning to end, the other party didn't say anything else, or make a sound. Jiang Cheng pieced together the other party's appearance in his memory, but a burst of strange pain struck, scattering everything.

"Stop thinking about it, I need to leave first." He endured the headache, stood up, and staggered towards the door.

The iron door wasn't as heavy as he thought, but it had been around for a long time. When he touched it with his hand, he could rub off a layer of rust.

"Creak—"

The door opened. As he had imagined, outside was a very, very long corridor. He remembered when he came, the woman had pushed him and walked a long straight line.

On both sides of the corridor were doors, iron doors, which didn't look like anything special. It was a bit like a school, but far more strange and eerie than a school.

Above his head was a row of spaced-out lights, emitting a half-dead light.

The room he was in was located at the end of the corridor.

Everything was very quiet, the kind of quiet where even echoes wouldn't exist. This suddenly gave him the illusion that he had been forgotten at the end of the world.
