Whether the patient should be transferred to thoracic surgery or undergo bypass surgery had to be a decision made by the attending cardiologist. The patient was currently under cardiology treatment, and the attending had not invited thoracic for a consultation.
“If it really can’t be done, Doctor Fu, since you are in the operating room and can see the situation, could you pass accurate information back? We will communicate with the patient’s family here and suggest they propose a transfer to surgery with the attending.” Dr. Seo said.
Doing it this way would essentially be putting pressure on Jin Tianyu and the others.
The family only thought about saving their relative and didn’t consider whether this would cause discord among the doctors over this issue.
Knowing this made Fu Xinheng feel awkward, Dr. Seo said, “Actually, it would be best if they felt they couldn’t proceed and directly invited you, Doctor Fu, for a consultation to make the decision.”

If it truly couldn’t be done, the cardiologists would surely give up and transfer the patient to thoracic surgery. No doctor would be foolish enough to keep going under unmet technical conditions until the patient died; that would be a medical malpractice case.
The patient’s family’s concerns weren’t really necessary.
