Chapter 954 A Cataclysmic Opening

Chapter 1 On the Train to Man City

On the train to Man City.

Qiu-ge lay on the bed in the sleeper compartment, reading a novel.

"Squeak!"

The door opened, and a girl about Qiu-ge's age walked in, saying softly, "We're about to arrive at the station."

Qiu-ge looked up at her. "Did the higher-ups give the information for the reception team?"

"Yes, they did." The girl replied, "There are three people on the other side, two Chinese and one white. The password is, 'The sun rises in the east.'"

"Okay, you can tell the others to prepare," Qiu-ge said, getting up.

The girl said with some dissatisfaction, "This Huagong Hui (Chinese Workers Association) is really messed up. Since we're separating for safety, the reception team should be arranged by our own people! Now we have to use passwords and verify identities. It's so troublesome."

Qiu-ge smiled. "The Huagong Hui is the lead unit for this operation. It's normal for them to control the information of other groups, which makes it easier to command. And they have more resources here, so it will be safer."

"Okay, then you rest for a while. I'll go and inform the others."

"Okay," Qiu-ge nodded.

The girl paused and reached behind her to take out a food bag. "I brought this myself. Eat some, or you don't know when you'll be able to eat after getting off the train. There's fruit inside, to replenish some vitamins."

Qiu-ge smiled. "Thank you, Xiao Yan!"

"You're welcome," Xiao Yan smiled sweetly and turned to leave the compartment.

Qiu-ge and his group were relatively young, new-generation military intelligence officers, and they were all highly educated. They had been carefully cultivated by Lao An and Liu Hongxu for three years, selected through layers, and their loyalty was not a problem.

For young people, their ideals were purer, without so much utilitarianism. From a personal point of view, they were admirable.

During this mission, the three groups would not meet or contact each other during the dormant period. The only link was the Huagong Hui military intelligence personnel hidden in Man City. They would provide the action team with convenient living conditions and hiding conditions. Once the operation began, they would withdraw and hand over the battlefield to the action department.

This was done to avoid a complete defeat if something went wrong in any link.

While Qiu-ge waited in the train, he opened the food bag and started eating the contents.

...

At ten o'clock in the evening.

A yacht docked, and Su Tianbei and others disembarked, heading to the checkpoint separately.

The action route on Quan Tong Ju's (All Unification Bureau's) side was to enter the country from the port of Li City in the Second District, and then take a car to Man City. The purpose of this was to have the three teams take different transportation routes, reducing the chances of exposure. There were no intersections, and it would not be easy to be caught if something went wrong.

Moreover, Quan Tong Ju had more resources in customs, with some insiders to take care of them.

The documents held by Su Tianbei and others were all from the Old Triangle or the Fifth District. Their network of relationships was strong there, and the identity documents they obtained were all real, making it difficult to expose them.

The group disembarked, not greeting each other, but queuing in groups of three or five, preparing to pass through customs.

The bustling dock was crowded and lively. The inspection units at the checkpoint were normally equipped, and nothing unusual could be seen.

...

Panama City, at the banquet venue.

After chatting with Yu Mingyuan for a while, An Qiqi turned to go to the restroom.

"Qiqi!"

Just then, Liu Hongxu suddenly walked over and called out.

"What's wrong, Uncle Liu?" An Qiqi asked softly.

Liu Hongxu's expression was grave, and he urged urgently, "Come over here for a moment!"

An Qiqi felt that something was wrong with him and immediately went over, entering the adjacent lounge with him. "What's wrong?"

Without explaining much, Liu Hongxu handed his phone to An Qiqi.

"When did this happen?" An Qiqi's pretty face instantly turned pale, and she asked with some excitement.

"Just now!"

"...!" An Qiqi clenched her fists, paused for less than two seconds, and said, "Cancel it! You notify our people, and I'll tell Xiao Yu and Lao Huang, quick!"

"Okay!"

After a brief exchange, An Qiqi immediately trotted to the main table.

At that moment, Su Tianyu was chatting animatedly with Huang Peishan.

An Qiqi patted Wei Xiangzuo on the shoulder and said with a serious tone, "Brother Wei, I have something to tell them privately. Please excuse us."

"Oh, okay!"

Wei Xiangzuo immediately got up.

"What's wrong?" Su Tianyu asked.

An Qiqi immediately lowered her head and said to the two of them, "Our action team has been exposed. Tell your people not to enter the city and retreat immediately!"

"Ah?!" Su Tianyu stood up abruptly.

Huang Peishan frowned. "That's impossible, right?! I just received news that the reception team is in place."

"My information is very reliable. Someone has betrayed us. Order the cancellation of entering the city immediately!" An Qiqi said without a doubt.

Su Tianyu directly chose to trust An Qiqi and immediately walked aside, using Lao Hei's dedicated phone to dial Su Tianbei's number.

...

Inside the port of Li City.

Su Tianbei was yawning as he stood in line.

"Next!" The checkpoint inspector waved his hand and shouted.

"Di Ling Ling!"

A phone rang out. Su Tianbei took out his phone and glanced at the caller ID. "Hello?"

"Something happened at home, let's talk about business another day, come back immediately!" Su Tianyu said very quickly.

Su Tianbei was instantly energized when he heard this. He paused and replied, "I've already arrived, I'm at the checkpoint."

Su Tianyu's heart skipped a beat. He understood what his second brother meant. The other party had already disembarked and was inside the checkpoint.

"It's okay, I know. I'll go back as soon as possible."

"You...!"

"Don't say anything, it's almost my turn." Su Tianbei turned his head and looked around, then hung up the phone.

In the port, the cold wind was blowing, and Su Tianbei's forehead was covered with fine beads of sweat. He turned his head and scanned his surroundings, seeing that three members of the other team had already passed through the checkpoint.

The meaning in Su Tianyu's words was already very clear. There must be an ambush at the port. If he turned around and left now, there would be gunfire immediately.

What to do?!

Su Tianbei's brain was working rapidly, and he turned his head to look around.

"Next!"

The shout from the staff came from inside the checkpoint.

Su Tianbei came back to his senses and saw that he was the one being called.

"Come over here!" The other party shouted in English.

Su Tianbei hesitated slightly, then immediately stepped forward and handed over his documents.

Inside a car on the back side of the checkpoint, a white man stared at Su Tianbei, holding a walkie-talkie and shouting, "He's wearing facial disguise. We can't identify his identity."

Near the checkpoint, Su Tianbei swallowed and swept his eyes over the surrounding action team members, shaking his head slightly.

...

At the Panama City banquet, Su Tianyu anxiously asked Huang Peishan, "What the hell are you doing?! They haven't even entered the city yet, and they're all exposed?!"
