Chapter 11 Was the Dharma King Wrong?

Wolves don't cooperate with sheep.

Chen Luo was planning to recruit some followers, but not just any Tom, Dick, or Harry.

He was only recruiting elites.

Ordinary survivors, at this stage, were somewhat useful if they were obedient, but in a few years, they would only be cannon fodder.

But how many resources would be consumed in a few years?

At least a hundred pounds of pork!

Chen Luo had plenty of resources, but they weren't infinite.

It wasn't that Chen Luo was heartless, but that the world was too heartless.

Moreover, Chen Luo needed to collect supplies, and having someone else around would be inconvenient and would expose the secret of his ability space.

If Chen Ran hadn't prepared, bringing a cannon fodder would have been acceptable, such as using him to attract zombies.

But it really wasn't necessary.

Just turning into a narrow path, after driving for a few dozen meters, Chen Luo frowned.

The road ahead was actually under construction, occupying half the road. It could still accommodate a car, but a runaway van had crashed into the construction fence, blocking the road.

A glance revealed more than twenty zombies, most of them wearing worker's clothing.

This was the only road leading to the cold storage facility, and detouring would take too much time.

Chen Luo got out of the car; there was no other way but to deal with them.

Fa Wang also got out of the car. Chen Luo said, "Just wander around and protect yourself."

There were no other living people nearby. Chen Luo's sudden appearance made the group of zombies rush over like dogs seeing feces.

Chen Luo smiled indifferently, took out two electric batons, one in each hand.

"Zzzzt."

The sound of electricity rang out, and two zombies immediately fell to the ground.

But Chen Luo was also surrounded by zombies.

Chen Luo didn't panic.

Four or five zombies pounced at the same time, and the electric batons could only shock two at a time. Chen Luo, clumsy in his armor, couldn't dodge the zombies' attacks.

But Chen Luo was fully armed, wearing alloy armor and a thick helmet.

How could the zombies at this stage break through armor made of alloy?

The zombies didn't care, using their claws or teeth to bite Chen Luo.

The ones using their claws were okay, scratching on the armor and making harsh friction sounds, but posing no threat to Chen Luo except for leaving faint marks.

The zombies that bit with their teeth were miserable.

Their teeth had become slightly sharper, and their bite force had greatly increased, but they still couldn't bite through the armor.

The more amazing the bite force, the greater the damage they suffered.

Two teeth with blood suddenly flew into the air.

Forceful biting had chipped their teeth.

Chen Luo grinned. No one would fix their teeth in the apocalypse.

It's better not to bite; if you lose all your teeth, you can only lick.

With the protection of the armor, the zombies couldn't hurt Chen Luo at all.

Of course, armor alone wasn't enough; otherwise, it wouldn't be easy to hurt the zombies either.

One zombie that was shocked didn't faint immediately as usual but remained very fierce, even grabbing the electric baton tightly.

It was obvious that this electric baton didn't have much power left.

This electric baton had a high voltage, but the price was a short duration. Chen Luo had already killed seven or eight zombies with it.

If you want it, you can have it. Chen Luo loosened his hand and took out another electric baton from his ability space.

I have a full fifty of them prepared.

Easily killing all the zombies, Chen Luo retrieved the depleted electric batons and extracted the crystals from the zombies' brains.

Walking to the van, Chen Luo glanced at it. One of the windows was completely broken. There was no one in the car, but the key was still in the ignition.

Presumably, the owner had suddenly turned into a zombie, got trapped in the car, and, unable to open the door, had broken the window.

Chen Luo moved the van and got back on the road.

This time, he arrived at the vicinity of the cold storage facility without incident.

Without rushing into the cold storage facility, Chen Luo prepared a heavy truck nearby.

In a wide area, this heavy truck was an even more powerful artifact than armor and electric batons.

In the parking space, Chen Luo found the heavy truck he had prepared, grinned, took out the prepared key, opened the door, and took Fa Wang into the car.

The door of this heavy truck was more than a meter above the ground, requiring steps to get in easily.

The feeling of driving a heavy truck was completely different from that of a car.

The thick steering wheel and tall body gave a great sense of security.

Giving up the car, Chen Luo drove the heavy truck somewhat awkwardly to the cold storage facility. The electronic gate around the cold storage facility was tightly closed.

Chen Luo didn't care at all, driving the heavy truck and slamming on the accelerator, accelerating and crashing into it.

If it were a car, crashing into this electronic gate might cause the car to get stuck.

But in front of this heavy truck, the electronic gate was instantly smashed, and the truck rushed into the cold storage area as if there were no obstacles.

Chen Luo opened his mouth wide. Wow, this feeling of destruction is so awesome.

This cold storage facility was very large, with many workers on a normal day. It was during working hours, so there were many zombies inside the cold storage facility as well.

No less than a hundred.

Electric batons could kill them, but they consumed too much electricity.

The roar of the truck, coupled with the sound of destroying the electronic gate, instantly attracted the attention of a large number of zombies, who rushed towards Chen Luo.

Chen Luo smiled gently and crashed into them at full speed.

Few people who were hit by a heavy truck at full speed could survive.

The zombies, who currently had no idea how to dodge, tried to stop the heavy truck.

Trying to stop a truck with bare hands?

Isn't that just plain brain damage?

Two zombies instantly flew three meters into the air and lost their breath after landing on the ground.

This was much more enjoyable than using an electric baton.

More and more zombies came over, but they were no threat.

Some zombies were knocked to the ground and weren't completely dead, so Chen Luo drove over them again.

I don't believe you won't die.

Chen Luo rampaged through the entire cold storage facility, which was simply too awesome.

Fa Wang on the side was excitedly shouting.

Stupid zombies came one after another to their deaths.

After more than ten minutes, Chen Luo deliberately made noises, but no more zombies were attracted.

Chen Luo got out of the car, but instead of rushing into the cold storage facility to collect supplies, he collected the crystals in the zombies' brains while observing whether there were any survivors around.

He had just made such a big commotion; if there were any survivors, they would have noticed it.

In an environment like a cold storage facility, if there were any survivors when the apocalypse broke out, they would either have relied on their speed to shake off the zombies and escape outside the cold storage facility, or they would have hidden in a sturdy room.

It would be best if there weren't any, but if there were...

Chen Luo would definitely not leave with the survivors. They were neither relatives nor friends; why should he?

The useful supplies in the cold storage facility must be collected.

If he didn't collect them in front of people, but the goods in the cold storage facility disappeared, wouldn't they suspect Chen Luo?

The fact that Chen Luo had a large number of supplies must not be leaked.

He could only be ruthless.

Chen Luo wouldn't kill innocent people indiscriminately, but if you threatened me...

After the apocalypse, there was no right or wrong in this world, only fighting against zombies, fighting against monsters, and even fighting against survivors for limited supplies.

Just like Chen Luo fighting with someone over a sausage.

Chen Luo wanted to eat a sausage to fill his stomach; was that wrong?

Others also wanted to fill their stomachs; was that wrong?

Was Fa Wang wrong?
