1060: Chapter 308: Benefactor, Why Must You Be So Troubled?

Su He laughed heartily.

“Thank you!

I’ll treat you to some tender grass later!”
The cow’s eyes widened indignantly, “Old cows don’t eat tender grass; we eat meat!”
As it bellowed, below Su He had already grabbed Ji Feixue and shattered the spatial boundary to leave directly.

Only a voice echoed with the Divine Sense, “Next time we meet, a mountain of delicacies from the land and sea, all for your choosing!”
The old Yellow Bull snorted through its nose, satisfied as it shook its body.

It then turned its head back to the Free Bodhisattva, the corner of its mouth twitching into a smirk, “Picking on my girl and son-in-law?”
The original foolish owner had merely responded to a summons from Xuanting Mountain, coming only to find that it was one of their own—others might not understand, but when she was a mere mortal bovine, she had been Ji Tianchen’s mount, watching him and the Azure Dragon fall in love step by step, awakening past-life memories and capabilities, watching as he stubbornly remained in the mortal world, planning for his daughter’s future.

It had never seen Ji Feixue, yet it had not missed a single tidbit of news about her.

As the Yellow Bull spoke, it stamped its hooves, let out a bellow, and its horns shed from atop its head—regrowing into two silver, fierce horns, flashing with cold light.

Leaping forward, the Yellow Bull transformed into countless afterimages, thousands of bulls, indistinguishable as to which were Phantoms and which was the true body.

The entire starry sky resounded with the calls of bulls.

Along with the Scholar’s punch, beneath each star hung a Yellow Bull, each bearing a star upon its back, charging towards the Free Bodhisattva.

The Free Bodhisattva jumped back, his face darkening slightly.

Clapping his hands together, a pure gold Swastika flashed at the center, expanding infinitely, merging with the Golden Bell around him, enveloping him in a shimmering bell tone.

The Yellow Bull, seemingly blind to this, continued to charge the Golden Bell, stars dropping from their backs as their horns pressed against it.

The bell resonated deeply.

Gradually, the bell was dented with marks made by the bull’s horns, from small traces initially, to entire horns piercing it.

Among the stars, the true form of the Yellow Bull emerged, not having charged at the Golden Bell but still posing mid-butt, the sky filled with the illusion of bulls.

It revealed itself, rolling its eyes downward.

The Scholar laughed loudly, riding on the illusion of a Yellow Bull, joining in the charge at the Free Bodhisattva.

Clang!

A bell tone rang out as a head pierced through the Golden Bell, plunging straight in.

The Free Bodhisattva’s brows furrowed, flipping his hand toward Ji Tianchen, with the Buddha Land in Palm flickering.

The monks murmured.

Ji Tianchen might have lacked Spirit Wisdom, but his instinct for battle was terrifying.

Smashing the Golden Bell, he immediately retreated his head.

Laughing heartily, he punched the Buddha Land, which glimmered brilliantly with gold light, and the Treasure Palace within crumbled upon collision.

Ji Tianchen’s hand, inserted into the Buddha Land, also shattered with a blast, blood flowing freely, but he did not care one bit, continuing to laugh as he grabbed a rotten piece of wood, and stuffed it into the hole his punch had made in the Buddha Land.

Once the rotten wood entered the Buddha Land of the Free Bodhisattva, it writhed and transformed into the image of the Free Bodhisattva himself—not the outside Little Novice Monk but the true Free Bodhisattva.

A decaying aura, like that of rotten wood, swallowed the land in a cloud that spread in all directions within the Buddha Land.

In an instant, wherever it passed, dark clouds billowed, casting an ominous shadow.

The Free Bodhisattva’s expression changed drastically, his eyes revealing a hint of shock.

This wooden carving was like a rebirth of himself, seizing control of the Buddha Land!

The areas enveloped by its miasma broke the Buddhist Law, as if rebelling.

This shock was no small matter.

He was an Avatar, refined from his own essence, his Tao Cultivation all originating from this segment of the Buddha Land he chimed off; any damage to the Buddha Land was fundamental harm to himself!

The Free Bodhisattva’s aura plunged as if off a cliff.

“Stop!” he shouted urgently, his Avatar descending back into the Buddha Land, seated high above, crafting a compassionate image as he chanted a Buddhist name.

Beams of Buddhist light rushed towards the rotten wood Bodhisattva.

The rotten wood still bore a face of utmost compassion and gentleness.

Just like a true wooden carving, it took any form that had been carved, incapable of adaptability.

But the irony in that smile was unmistakable.

The Buddhist light from the Free Bodhisattva, upon entering the dark clouds, vanished without a trace, like a clay ox entering the sea.

The dark clouds continued to spread in all directions.

“Amitabha Buddha!” In the midst of the Buddha Land, the Free Bodhisattva closed his eyes slightly and chanted a Buddhist name, then reached upward, revealing a field of stars.

Immediately, the essence of Buddha steamed forth.

Every star was a Relic of High Monks, materializing and collecting into droplets, pitter-pattering down towards the ground.

In an instant, a continuous downpour began.

The pure gold-colored rain fell into the Buddha Land, bursting through the dark clouds, tearing them apart.

The dark clouds showed innumerable wounds.

Yet the Free Bodhisattva’s expression became even more somber, as the shredded Yin Qi did not dissipate; instead, it infiltrated the entire Buddha Land, merging with it.

For a moment, his control of the Buddha Land weakened.

His eyes focusing sharply, he reached out his hand, transforming his gaze into a Precept Sword, and cleaved downward.

The rotten wood and its territory were chopped out as one.

The Free Bodhisattva was cutting out the rot to save the body.

With one strike, the Buddha Land shrank by a tenth.

But the dark clouds and rotten wood Bodhisattva were also expelled.

The Free Bodhisattva breathed a sigh of relief.

As long as the malignant tumor was removed, the damage to the Buddha Land might still be restored.

Reabsorbing Buddha World’s Monks into the Buddha Land or converting the Tian Nu Clan were both viable options.

Just as he relaxed, he saw within the Pure Lands of Buddha Country, a point of Yin light flickering, the aura of decay rising.

The carved Bodhisattva out of the rotten wood resurfaced inexplicably within the Buddha Land.

Immediately, the dark clouds rolled once more.

The Free Bodhisattva’s eyes drooped down.

“Amitabha Buddha!

Patron, what forceful tactics!” This was not Divine Skills; it seemed more like authority.

Ji Tianchen had bestowed this Buddha Land upon the rotten wood.
