Wan Ben Gan Yan

Hello everyone,

*Yang Jian Jie Ming Ren* has officially concluded this morning. I’m only posting this completion statement now because I’m still recovering from being “sheeped” (infected with COVID).

The end of *Yang Jian Jie Ming Ren* also marks the official end of the "Ghost Coffin Chronicles." I won't be writing any more coffin-related stories in the future. This decision was made after much deliberation and with a multitude of feelings. Thank you all for your companionship and support along the way, and especially thank you to my assistants for their hard work. Without the support and encouragement of these assistants and my old readers, I would have long since gone from being a storyteller to a listener. And to Xia Ji, Lin Jingyuan, Du Miao, Su Yuhang, these long-time fans who have been with me for nearly a decade, although they don't talk much, they are always there when I need them. This kind of companionship is the motivation for a storyteller to walk the Jianghu (martial world).

My lovely assistants are actually my readers, and they have been supporting me selflessly for many years. Without them, there would be no Two Realms Hall. Except for a few characters, most of the characters in Two Realms Hall are based on my assistants and brothers.

Let me introduce them to you!

Ye Yang (Old Yama), Nie Xiaochun (Little Cat), Ling (Zhang Yanxin), Feng Ruoxing (Zixi), Wang the Butcher (Dou Dou), Xia Mengying (Xia Xia), Lin Zhao (Coco), Wang Xiaohuan (Badger), Su Su (Su Su), Xiao Kui (Meng Meng). And of course, Li Changge, Liu Xi, and Cai Zi, who haven't appeared in this book.

Birthday updates for assistants may not be very timely, but the characters that the assistants want must be arranged, and arranged according to the assistant's wishes. Dou Dou likes Qu Mo, then okay, Senior Sister becomes Shiniang (martial aunt/master's wife). Wang Xiaohuan likes Jiang Junci, then okay, break the grudges between the white lanterns and the coffins.

So far, I haven't met any of my assistants except for Old Yama, who traveled thousands of miles to have a drink with me. I hope that in 2024, when I officially celebrate my tenth year of writing under the pen name Miao Qi Miao, I can meet all my old friends offline. This is a small wish of mine after finishing *Yang Jian Jie Ming Ren*.

Before I posted this completion statement, I looked at everyone's comments and will answer a few questions for you all.

1. The novel didn't reach 2000 *zhang* (chapters)? A reader asked me in the group how many chapters I would write, and I said about two thousand. In fact, readers and authors calculate the length of a novel differently. Readers calculate the number of *zhang*, while authors estimate the number of words. My estimated number of words was about 3 million. I calculated it at 1500 words per *zhang*, so I estimated about two thousand *zhang*. In the end, the novel ended at 2.97 million words, which was just within my estimated range. So there is this discrepancy.

2. Why didn't anyone want Li Po? I said at the beginning of the book that there would be no female lead. Since there has never been a female lead, why should I pair him up with someone?

3. Why didn't the Reincarnation Saint Lord die? I mentioned several times in the previous text that the Reincarnation Saint Lord was a clone of the Lord of the Heavenly Prison. The clone died in the hands of Li Chunfeng, and the Lord of the Heavenly Prison died in the hands of the protagonist, so there is no problem.

4. Did you forget about the Nine-Tailed Fox? This was my oversight. I really didn't use the setting of the Nine-Tailed Fox.

5. Whereabouts of Yu Qingzhu: Yu Qingzhu is known as the Nine-Headed Demon Fox and knows how to seek good fortune and avoid misfortune. He avoids the Two Realms Hall in order to avoid trouble.

6. Why did the civil and military officials cooperate in the later stage? I don't think I need to explain this much. There are plenty of such examples in modern history.

7. Was the final battle rushed? The battle of Two Realms Mountain was the official start of the ending, and it lasted for more than ten *zhang*. Is that rushed? Or are you saying that the fight against the Lord of the Heavenly Prison was rushed? Well, what is the setting of the Lord of the Heavenly Prison? He is the Emperor of the Heavenly Soul, not an unparalleled master, let alone a lone demon. The Dao of Heaven awakened and blocked the Heavenly Tribulation, I have already mentioned it. I think it is no problem to kill him in one *zhang*. I personally don't think it makes any sense to fight for three to five *zhang*. If some people keep complaining about a rushed ending, then I can only say that I can't control your thoughts.

8. Will there be any extras? There probably won't be any extras. I rarely write extras. If I do write them, they will only circulate internally in my assistant group and will not be released.

9. When will the new book be released? I'm still working on the new book. There won't be any new developments until the opening chapter is approved, but I think a month should be enough.

Thank you again for your support and companionship.

Respectfully,

Miao Qi Miao
