Chapter 1 I Hid

I spent the better part of the night wandering through the mountains with Lin Zhao before we found a cave to sleep in until dawn.

Lin Zhao didn't know what I was doing. I only told her one thing: "Let those people be happy for a little while longer."

The next day, the members of the tour group gathered in the hall again.

They noticed someone was missing from the group, but they seemed to be waiting for something, looking expectantly at Ye Yang and Feng Ruoxing.

Feng Ruoxing felt uncomfortable under their gazes and lowered his voice, "Ye Yang, what are they looking at?"

Ye Yang said softly, "Someone died last night. They're waiting for the survivors to speak."

After a long while, the woman who had appeared in the top-floor room the night before finally stood up. "I'm leaving. According to the agreement, I need to say a few words to everyone before I go."
