707: Chapter 696: It’s Out 707: Chapter 696: It’s Out “Our transaction is complete,” Yamamoto Goro announced as he headed out of the cave.
“Let’s go, this place will probably collapse in a few minutes.”
“Mhm,” Zhou Guang and the others also didn’t say much and just went straight towards the cave entrance.
Five minutes later, the stone door they’d left behind emitted thundering booms and then suddenly collapsed.
Behind the stone door was, to their surprise, a bottomless pool of water.
The stone door, along with the slab attached to it, fell into the pool.
“Ha ha ha, now we can finally go back and slowly derive that equation!” Zhou Guang stood at the cave entrance, excitedly exclaimed.
“Mm, but I’m curious where Song Yun is right now,” the Divine Calculator said, frowning.
“He’s probably still wandering around inside the cave.
It would be best if he could die in there,” the Ghost King spoke in high spirits, “Alright, let’s leave things at that.
We’ve taken what we needed, so I’ll take my leave through this route.
Let’s hope for another meeting.”
After finishing, the Ghost King left, and Zhou Guang exchanged a glance with the Divine Calculator.
They nodded at Yamamoto Goro, exchanged farewells, and also left.
It had been nothing more than cooperation among them.
Zhou Guang and the Divine Calculator had provided the key, the Ghost King had provided the blueprint, and Yamamoto Goro provided the brains.
Now the cooperation was finished, and there was naturally no need for further chatter.
Meanwhile, Song Yun was in his briefs, tucking his cell phone inside, and had returned to the pool of water he found before.
This unexpected encounter with what was claimed to be a universal equation made him feel his effort was worthwhile.
He planned to give this equation to his parents to see if they could deduce anything from it.
What if it were some miraculous panacea that granted the ability to soar to the heavens and traverse earth, to become omnipotent?
With this delightful thought, Song Yun almost couldn’t close his mouth from smiling.
Taking a deep breath, Song Yun jumped into the pit and swam back to the place where he was initially trapped, guided by his memory.
This time it was much quicker since the previous attempt was searching, but this time he was heading straight for his destination.
It took just over two minutes for Song Yun to return to the earlier cavern, and when he burst out of the water, he heard Li Shishi’s cries of surprise.
“Song Yun!”
“Huff!” Song Yun climbed ashore and said, “Found the exit.
We can go now.”
“Mhm mhm!” Li Shishi joyfully got up, only to realize she wasn’t wearing much clothing.
“Ah!” Li Shishi screamed in surprise, noticing her clothes hanging nearby to dry, and she was just in her underwear!
Song Yun hadn’t initially noticed, but when Li Shishi shrieked, he became aware that not only was Li Shishi not wearing much, but he himself was also underdressed.
It was almost like they were being completely transparent with each other!
“This…” Song Yun touched his forehead awkwardly and said, “Let’s not bother drying the clothes, we’ll just get wet again.
Let’s just go in the water as we are.”
“Mhm,” Li Shishi said, shrinking into herself, “Song Yun, where is the exit?”
“I’ll lead the way,” Song Yun gathered up their clothes and tied them onto his back, saying, “I’ll hold onto you.
Just follow me.”
“Mhm!” Li Shishi nodded.
Song Yun walked to the water’s edge, jumped in first, and then Li Shishi followed.
Song Yun extended his hand to hold Li Shishi’s and said, “It’ll take about three minutes.
Take a deep breath!”
Li Shishi nodded with a reddened face.
Though she often joked around with Song Yun and occasionally was at the receiving end of his antics, being under Song Yun’s gaze while scarcely covered still made her uncomfortable.
“Ready?” Song Yun asked.
Li Shishi nodded again.
Song Yun sank into the water and pulled Li Shishi with him toward the exit.
Li Shishi’s heart raced.
Song Yun was beside her, and although they couldn’t see anything, their hands and bodies occasionally brushed against each other.
This bare-skinned contact stirred her emotions.
But her nervousness and excitement accelerated her heartbeat, which in turn made her consume oxygen faster.
Li Shishi, who could usually hold her breath for two to three minutes, felt breathless after just a minute and a half, causing discomfort in her chest and her body to squirm restlessly.
Song Yun noticed Li Shishi’s discomfort, turned his head to see her struggling with a deep red face.
“Shit, we’re only halfway there!” Song Yun was alarmed by the sight of Li Shishi’s distress.
Even if he wanted to go back, it was too late.
Was he supposed to let Li Shishi suffocate in his arms?
He made an imperative decision on the spot.
Song Yun pulled Li Shishi close to him and pressed his mouth onto hers.
Li Shishi was shocked, wondering if Song Yun was going to take advantage of her in such circumstances.
However, after Song Yun used his tongue to pry open her teeth, a breath of air was transferred directly from him to her.
Li Shishi immediately felt much better.
Song Yun moved away and, paddling with his hands, swiftly swam with Li Shishi towards the exit.
But Li Shishi, stirred by Song Yun’s kiss, became even more excited, which increased her oxygen consumption.
So, a minute later, she began to drown again.
Song Yun had to give Li Shishi another mouth-to-mouth breath.
Finally, this second breath allowed Song Yun to bring Li Shishi to the exit successfully.
Li Shishi had never felt the sun’s rays as beautiful as at that moment.
The sky had already cleared, with water occasionally dripping from the cliff above.
Li Shishi took a deep breath and said with relief, “Phew, finally out of that dreadful place.”
“I think you should first worry about your clothes, after all,” Song Yun propped his chin with one hand and looked seriously at Li Shishi.
Li Shishi froze for a moment, then with an “Ah!” wrapped her arms around her chest.
“Don’t look!” Li Shishi glared at Song Yun, flustered and embarrassed.
“I’ve seen enough not to want to look.
Now you’re telling me not to,” Song Yun said, though he still turned his head away.
He then removed Li Shishi’s and his own clothes from around his waist, saying, “But we’ll have to stay here a bit.
Our clothes are all wet, soaking wet!
We need to dry them before we can wear them.”
After speaking, he suddenly heard a sneeze from behind.
“Achoo.”
“You’ve caught a cold!” Song Yun frowned and said, “Then I’ll call Qingluan to come over right away.”
“It’s not necessary,” Li Shishi replied, “If they see us like this, who knows what they’ll think we’ve done.”
“What could we have done?” Song Yun said, “You might catch a cold this way.”
“It’s nothing, just make a fire; I’ll warm up by it,” Li Shishi suggested, “At least let’s get our clothes dry first, right?”
