632: Chapter 621 632: Chapter 621 “No problem, do you want me to bring some of my men?” Xin Dong asked.
“No need, just some private business.” said Kirin, as he walked out of the manor alone towards the parking lot.
The young man in a tailcoat, who had previously delivered an invitation to Li Ling’er at the West Lake Villa, stood smilingly beside a black sedan.
“Clown, call Sister Que and tell her I’m going to see her now.” Kirin commanded as he got into the car.
“Alright.” The young man known as Clown got into the driver’s seat and made a call on his mobile phone.
It wasn’t long before Ghost King’s phone also rang.
“Kirin has left, get ready.” Ghost King instructed in a neutral tone after hanging up.
“Yes.”
“Clown, what do you think about Song Yun?” Kirin asked gravely, looking at the trees flashing by the window.
“A bit scheming, a bit manipulative, somewhat clever but lacks great wisdom,” replied the man called Clown, a faint smile on his face and his eyebrows and eyes curiously curved at the same angle.
“I think so too.
In fact, nowadays, people who are somewhat clever are more troublesome than those with great wisdom.
They think less, act impulsively, and are likely to do something unexpected,” Kirin said, pulling out a sophisticated cellphone from his jacket pocket, pinching it between his index finger and thumb, and gently flicking it with his ring finger, making it spin—a sign those familiar with Kirin knew indicated he was deeply contemplating something.
Clown didn’t speak, focusing only on the road ahead.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared as if out of nowhere, instantly obscuring the bright moon.
Clown’s eyes eerily shifted direction; the typically serene crescent shape suddenly morphed into a fierce glare resembling a Heavenly Venerate, and without reducing speed, the roar of the engine intensified as the accelerator was floored!
However, the shadow, as if anticipating this move, plunged down fiercely!
Boom!
The bulletproof steel panel at the front of the car caved in under the shadow’s stomp, anchoring the car in its tracks almost instantly—from motion to a sudden halt without any warning.
Clown moved!
Just as the car became fixed in place like a nail, Clown had already flung open the door and, like a ghost, immediately closed in on the shadow pinning the car.
Several flashes of cold light passed, and after a brief encounter, Clown’s eyes once again took on a strange linear shape, though his hand muscles bulged oddly as he extended his hands—between his fingertips appeared a deck of playing cards.
“Ghost cards!!” The ambushing shadow suddenly screamed in terror, attempting to flee but it was too late!
Clown’s lips twitched slightly, and with a flick of his wrist, a playing card shot out like lightning towards the shadow.
With a thud, the shadow was hit and instantly dissipated into nothingness.
“A Shikigami?” Clown gasped in astonishment, suddenly turning around.
Yet!
A punch shadow flashed by.
Clown had just time to flip out a playing card before being struck squarely in the chest and sent flying backward, while the card he had thrown veered off course—the person behind the punch was none other than Ghost King!
Ghost King turned to charge towards Kirin in the car, but Kirin remained utterly calm.
Suddenly, a chilling wind, as focused as a bullet, shot towards Ghost King.
“Can it turn back?” Ghost King showed a hint of surprise, swiftly dodging the card that looped back towards him.
Just then, another shadow appeared.
Kirin’s expression finally shifted slightly—it was a woman!
The woman’s hands changed rapidly, almost instantly forming dozens of seals, and then pressing her intertwined fingers forcefully against the car door!
Boom!
She shattered the bulletproof door with sheer force!
Almost in the instant the door broke, Kirin burst through another door, rushing out, and the woman’s figure surged towards him.
“Just a woman, seeking death?” Coldness flickered in Kirin’s eyes, and despite the woman’s beauty, to Kirin, women were only two types—beautiful or enemies.
The woman’s aura was formidable, her hand signs unpredictably changing.
Kirin disdainfully said, “Yin Yang Technique is merely derived from Shen Zhou’s Five Elements Path; a glowworm daring to compete with the bright moon?” Kirin’s hands suddenly formed several Dharma Seals.
“If you know the Great Freedom Seal, then taste my Five Elements Vajra Seal.” Kirin stomped on the ground, hooked his thumbs and fingers together, one palm open and the other facing down!
Boom!
The woman’s palm seal collided with Kirin’s, the clash stirring up a visible cyclone around them.
Kirin’s expression changed as he noticed another shadow had appeared beside him.
“Another Shikigami!
You RB folks only dabble in these trivial arts,” Kirin focused and roared fiercely, “Moo!!” The shadow shook violently and dissipated like fog.
But with that shout, Kirin’s attack somewhat weakened, the woman quickly changed her hand signs, connecting her fingers and then pressing them onto Kirin’s hands.
“Damn it.” Kirin barely had time to curse before being sent flying.
In the distance, Clown and Ghost King were locked in an evenly matched fight.
Ghost King originally employed poison, but for this mission, in a show of good faith, his partners had taught him the art of Shikigami.
Clown’s identity remained mysterious, seemingly a lone ranger, yet inexplicably under Kirin’s command.
Both demonstrated formidable martial skills.
Clown’s playing cards seemed endlessly available, while Ghost King, now armed with a samurai sword, deftly chopped, slashed, and thrust.
As Kirin was sent flying, Clown immediately dropped his opponent and rushed towards Kirin, with Ghost King closely following.
The woman, however, did not immediately pursue Kirin but instead turned and coordinated a pincer move against Clown with Ghost King.
Clown endured the woman’s powerful palm seal, making it to Kirin’s side, while Kirin, his mouth bloodied, had suffered significant internal injuries from the woman’s strike.
“Who are you?” Kirin wiped the blood from his mouth and called out.
“We are Song Yun’s men,” Ghost King chuckled darkly, slowly advancing towards them.
“Hmph, you think I’m a fool?
It seems you indeed are people from RB, but I’m quite puzzled—how could you know so quickly that I had left the manor?
It seems you’ve really put in some effort at Xin Dong’s,” Kirin’s complexion gradually returned to normal.
