Grenade Fears Water

Volume 4: End-of-Volume Summary

Yesterday, I remembered from a reader's comment that I hadn't written the end-of-volume summary.

I really don't know what to say...

Let's start with the results.

*The Filature of the Song* is only a hundred away from an average order of 21,000, which is a great improvement. The number of alliance leaders is also approaching 150. It can be seen that the readers are very supportive.

Even *Fu Han* is being dragged along to almost 20,000.

However, while the readers are supportive, I am clearly lagging behind.

I've become useless.

This uselessness is not just laziness, but also mentality, and also the issue of skill and ability...

Thinking about it carefully, it's not just that the book is in the middle and later stages, and my own physical and mental energy is naturally weakening, but the key is that after the Battle of Yaoshan, I completely broke away from the original historical framework and entered the speculative stage, and I really don't know how to write.

Old readers should know that I don't have a detailed outline, or rather, it's an alternative outline. It's just that sometimes when I listen to music or read historical materials, I will blindly imagine, think of a few scenes... and then connect the plot for those few scenes.

Several plots are connected, and then the characters are arranged, and the approximate plot will come out.

So how to write in the future is often a fog. And often when a volume of chapters comes out, the previous plot seems to be of poor quality, not as comfortable as a few specific chapters.

Of course, the cycle of this plot connection is not as short as everyone thinks... just like the plot of alliance and coronation in this volume, it was basically conceived in the Baima plot before the return of the Two Sages. At that time, I often mentioned Western Xia, which meant to lay the map in advance.

And the plot of the Dangxiang imperial concubine was also an ambush for the vassal joke from the beginning. And one thing that must be admitted is that, perhaps through the update, a group of old readers were screened out, and everyone's tolerance for me has greatly improved. After this plot came out, I was a little scared, thinking that there might be problems, but there were not many problems.

It passed quickly.

Of course, there are also short-cycle plots, such as Crow Fried Sauce Noodles, which is a short cycle... to be honest, I have a deep impression of Crow Fried Sauce Noodles, and it has been reflected in my mind for a long time. When I was very young, I was stunned when I saw Chang'e and Hou Yi nagging about Crow Fried Sauce Noodles like gossipy women and family-raising wife slaves, but I never thought of using this joke... Then recently, when I re-read Lu Xun's complete works, and suddenly saw those mortalized heroes, gods, and ancient sages, I instantly had a feeling—I must use Crow Fried Sauce Noodles!

As for Yelu Dashi, this character was also conceived from the beginning... earlier than the plot of the alliance and coronation. I wanted him to come and go like the wind, and just stop there.

It's not as gay as everyone thinks, but without a doubt, this man should be the protagonist's true confidant, a confidant in terms of nationalism and national responsibility.

As for the vassal, it is a traditional saying in Chinese history. Everyone can extend it, but don't overdo it.

As for Yue Fei in this volume, to be honest, there are a lot of scenes for Yue Fei in this volume, but I don't want Yue Fei to be crowned king so early, and I have been holding back. He should have a grand battle in Hebei, but it is hard to say whether this battle will be in the next volume or the next volume or even later.

This depends on how far this book can be written.

In addition, in the plot of this volume, I feel that the chapter on Baima was a bit too much... Although I repeatedly emphasized that the protagonist's real enemy at that time was not the Two Sages, but those opposition factions and steady factions who had no problems with morality and ability. This was the protagonist's real enemy in the first half of the volume. The Two Sages were just their slogans, but it still seemed a bit too much on the Two Sages themselves.

However, even if the comments in the chapter are removed, the comments in that chapter also broke my personal record. There were more than 6,000 comments in an 8,000-word chapter. I don't know if it was a success or a failure.

But in short, I could have done better in that plot.

To be honest, sometimes when I look at these plots, look at everyone's reactions, and then think back to my previous expectations, I will clearly feel that I am old... and out of touch with the times.

I even feel that my aesthetic views are inconsistent with everyone's.

Because sometimes the climax scenes I think of, when they really come out, everyone's reaction is not necessarily very strong, and the polishing of the characters during the writing process, feeling that I can't delay any longer, and creating some short-term plot echoes, the reaction is good... maybe it is a short-term burst of inspiration? Is it just a matter of plot brewing cycle?

I don't know what it is? I don't know if I'm thinking too much.

And it's not just a matter of aesthetic views, I also feel that my level has reached its limit. I clearly think that I can write better, but after writing, it is still far from my psychological expectations. I don't know if I am useless, or if my aesthetic ability has improved, but in any case, I have a long-term contradiction between my own low level of creation and the ever-increasing cultural needs of the people (including myself).

Of course, the above is all my own nonsense. Once the novel is written, the standard of judgment and the results of judgment have nothing to do with me. It's up to you... to put it bluntly, Grenade Fears Water understands shit about *The Filature of the Song*!

It's just a humanoid typing machine that steals everyone's enthusiasm and inspiration to make profits.

I still work for three days and oil for two days.

In addition, there is good news. I don't know if I should say it here, or if it's a bit early, but if I don't say it here, I don't know where to say it... *The Filature of the Song* should be adapted into a comic. It's going through Tencent Animation's channel. It should take some time before there is a result. Anyway, I am a layman. I only know that I just signed the contract, and the contract has definitely been sent... I don't understand comics, but I saw it on Weibo and it feels good!

Here, I would like to thank Chief Editor Ruili and Editor Shuize for their assistance.

Speaking of this, I really don't know what to say.

Let's talk about the summary of this volume.

This volume is obviously divided into two parts. The first half of the volume is to deal with the internal peace talks and welcome back the Two Sages. The second half of the volume is to raid Western Xia and meet the three parties.

There is a reason why they are put together, of course.

That is, from a general perspective, the only reason why these things happened is that after the Battle of Yaoshan, the Jurchens chose strategic contraction.

Everything, from the inside to the outside, from the south to the north, happened because the Jurchens chose strategic contraction. It was because the Jurchens chose to retreat strategically that Zhao Song, who had grown up in the previous war, had enough military leeway.

To put it bluntly, this volume is about the protagonist overcoming the internal muscle paralysis of the country, leading the entire country to open its arms. After being beaten for seven or eight years, he can finally show his skills... That's roughly the theme.

During the creation of this volume, I would especially like to thank the several map creators in the academy, the book review area, and this chapter. They provided enough maps for my obscure military descriptions for everyone to view. This contribution is great.

And Ms. Mei, who wrote a set of fan fiction on Old Ford, letting the characters in the book gather to read their biographies in the *History of the Song Dynasty*. It's wonderfully written.

A very excellent set of fan fiction, highly recommended (to be honest, I haven't finished reading the biographies of these people).

Then let's talk about the next volume.

What will the next volume be about? Does everyone have any ideas? Anyway, I am as confused as before almost every volume.

But now one advantage is that the protagonist and many supporting characters have already established their character images, and characters such as Academician Lin and Liu Ziyu are also returning. Once the plot is decided, let the characters move according to their own character, identity, ability, and will, and perhaps it can barely be written.

Moreover, in the new volume, there must be new characters and new plots.

I am certainly not good at developing new plots. The beginning of each volume is very bad, but on the other hand, every time I write a new plot, I have an unprecedented sense of peace... because the previous volume is more or less completed, which is equivalent to re-drawing on a blank sheet of paper. Before it becomes a mess, there is some unrealistic sense of expectation.

As the saying goes, I am really old, and my brain has degenerated to the point where it is impossible to write... When I don't open the keyboard, there are endless things I want to say, but once I pick up a pen, I don't know what to say.

In short, everyone, cherish each other! Although I am old, we have a long-term relationship after all. Don't leave, I still rely on you to support me and have a hot meal to eat in the cold winter!

The above, good night!

By the way, thank you to the new alliance leader, Marquis Fuping Yi Xiao, the 148th Meng of this book!
