Grenade Fears Water
Volume Three Summary and Hundred-Cute Gratitude
I just discovered there are one hundred and three *Meng* now.
I hesitated for a moment, the list of acknowledgements is too long, so I won't put it at the beginning, I'll put it at the end... to avoid scaring other readers. But to be honest, I was really scared, but as the beneficiary, I must solemnly thank you all... Bow, acknowledgement.
Frankly, I didn't expect this book to achieve this result.
Why?
First of all, to be honest, after *Covering Han*, I once lacked confidence, feeling that I might have been emptied. Later, editors such as Ruili, Huya, and Xuxu encouraged me in turn before I decided to start writing. But even so, this book inevitably felt a bit like being pushed onto the shelf... Before writing, I knew nothing about the history of the Song Dynasty, and it was completely a cramming session of reading a few books at the last minute. So first of all, I must thank Red Tea Magic Cat, Xiang Wang, Bu Yi, and several other Song Dynasty experts for their continued help.
Secondly, my condition was not good, and many things happened during the writing of this book, such as the epidemic and work, which caused a lot of trouble, affecting my mentality and time. I must thank everyone for their tolerance, and also thank the administrators for being thankless both inside and outside... Bow, apology, and thanks.
But finally, maybe because of the foundation of the previous book, the results are much better than the previous book.
The *Bai Meng* (Hundred Alliance) came naturally without any special activities, seven months after the book was released, and five months after it was put on the shelves, with one million words. The previous book took a whole year, and a small feedback activity was organized to achieve this. Moreover, even though the book has been written to this point and the updates are so irregular, the results of *The Filature of the Song* have already reached the level of *Covering Han* at the time of its completion.
It's not as miserable as outsiders guessed, nor as awesome as outsiders guessed (some people on Zhihu guessed 30,000, it would be strange if my updates could reach an average of 30,000), an average subscription of less than 15,000, one hundred and three alliance masters, and two stars in the Qidian Hall of Fame, is the summary result of this book written so far.
For someone with my personality, I am naturally satisfied... What more could I ask for? Even if you give me a bicycle, I'm too lazy to ride it.
Then let's talk about the plot of this volume:
To be honest, I don't know what's good about introducing the plot of this volume. In fact, everyone should be able to see that the entire volume is paving the way for the final Battle of Guanshan, and the result of this battle can probably be guessed based on the themes of the previous two volumes. The first volume is about the protagonist establishing himself, the second volume is about Zhao Guan Jia establishing his position, and the third volume is about the country finally not having to worry about being destroyed by the Jin army one day, and the carnivores hovering over the country can no longer demand whatever they want.
The book has now reached a little over one million words, and the content of the three volumes can be considered as this country finally standing up again.
There is nothing else to say about the handling of some plots and the setting of characters. The goal of this volume is clear, and everything is for the final battle... Wu Zhu learning from the extraordinary man to cross the Yellow River is already known to everyone; Han Shizhong and Chang Yuchun, to be honest, their historical images and positioning are really a bit similar; as for Zhao Jiu's unsuccessful middle door sniper, relying on everyone's united efforts, it has also been foreshadowed for an entire volume.
And the poems at the beginning and end of the volume... To be honest, I don't even know the rhymes (scorned by Ji Cha). The adaptation of the poem at the end of the first volume was an extraordinary performance, but even so, it is a joke in everyone's eyes... This time, a reader actively provided a poem at the end of the volume. The single sentence is very good and fits the situation, but overall it is difficult to use it to reflect the overall situation. I thought about it for a long time and didn't use it. I felt that the setting sun like blood was more appropriate. I hope you understand.
As for the following plot, as the saying goes, "The road ahead is as strong as iron, but now we start anew." The protagonist should sort out some things internally, and then determine who he wants to fight for, what ideals he wants to work for, and what things he wants to do. The higher he stands and the more stable his power is, the more he must understand who his enemies are and who his friends are. Then the Jin country should also be a little more interesting... Of course, I'm just talking nonsense. I don't know how to write next. I don't have this outline. I basically write wherever I calculate.
When I started writing the book, I only had a rough plot in my mind for the first volume. After writing the first volume, I only had a rough idea for the second volume. When writing the third volume, I only had some scattered fragments in my mind. Under the WPS document for coding, there was only a pile of names copied from the encyclopedia, and some people and fragments were never written... Some things sound beautiful, but I just can't write them, and I'm getting old, and I forget the fragments I stored in my head before I finish writing.
So how to write next, as usual, I want to sneak a peek at the chapter comments, peek at the academy posts, peek at various book review public accounts and book reviews, and then sort them out a bit... I also hope everyone will talk more and have more divergent thinking, but I will steal your ideas without paying.
Of course, since it is a summary, I must mention the real ending of this volume, which is the chapter on the falling eagle. Frankly speaking, I was a little caught off guard. I said before that I was scared, it's not fake, and I even thought I would be scolded before I sent that chapter out... It's written so complicated, and there's no map, and some places are indeed handled poorly, making it seem stiff.
But... everyone is praising it, and there are almost a dozen more big *Meng* within 24 hours (here I remind Andy Sommerwind, one *Meng* is 1,000 yuan, not 10,000, I would be rich if it was 10,000), thousands of monthly tickets, and a full 4,000 chapter comments... and then I myself began to wonder, is this chapter really good?
But to be honest, human nature is... Everyone is praising it, so I secretly enjoy it. In the following two days, I scanned all the places that might praise me, QQ groups, WeChat groups, Zhihu, Weibo, and the Academy Forum, and secretly self-satisfied for several days... Please don't be offended.
Finally, no more teasing... Let's not talk about whether it's good or bad and the reasons for the big chapter bonus, I must understand in my heart that this is everyone's love, and what I wrote has not exceeded any scope. There must be quite a few dissatisfied readers, but online articles naturally have an echo effect (thanks to the invention of Light-Colored Folded Ears), which temporarily covered up the bad points and amplified the praise. If I write something that doesn't suit the mainstream taste next time, it may form a similar scale of critical vortex.
Writing seriously next is the real deal.
—————I'm a dividing line pretending to be serious—————
I'll recommend a few more things. I won't mention An Zong's *Book Sea Fishman* and Chi Ji's *Book Famine Relief Station*. *Novel Anecdotes* also wrote a long review of *The Filature of the Song*... Everyone can go and take a look.
Finally, I wish all the young men and women taking the college entrance examination 700 points each, I wish all book friends a happy weekend and everyone gets rich, and I also wish myself in advance that the amount of updates this month can keep up...
