Chapter 1382: Chapter 1383: The Curtain Falls (Part 2)

Li Xiaobai was a bit taken aback. Behind him stood an elder with a complexion pale as a ghost, bearing a face identical to Xiao Lao Di. However, he quickly realized his mistake: Xiao Lao Di was already dead. The one in front of him, judging by the attire, was the Water Crystal Elder, who had just emerged from the crystal!

“Senior, you…?”

The Water Crystal Elder said nothing, merely reached out and lightly shoved Li Xiaobai aside.

Step by step, he moved forward, heading straight towards the Spider Woman.

Silent and wordless, the Water Crystal Elder said nothing, resembling a lifeless corpse as he advanced.

“You’re the one from earlier?”

The Spider Woman furrowed her brow. She couldn’t figure out where this elder had emerged from, and he bore Xiao Lao Di’s face—was it a resurrection, or were they simply two different people?

“No, you’re not him. But your aura is incredibly familiar. You’re the one who acted from behind the scenes to assist him!”

The Spider Woman’s furrowed brow relaxed, her breath sharp as she immediately discerned his identity. The aura emanating from the Water Crystal Elder was identical to the white light that had enveloped Xiao Lao Di earlier, revealing that this man was the mysterious mastermind from the shadows.

“Your aura is strange, quite unlike the Immortal Gods. Who exactly are you?”

The Spider Woman questioned.

The Water Crystal Elder remained silent. He neither acknowledged nor rebuked her. His lifeless eyes reflected a murky shade of white, as if he truly were a corpse.

“Quit your theatrics!”

The Spider Woman’s finger trembled lightly, and a streak of dark green venom shot out, directly striking the Water Crystal Elder’s face.

“Ssss!”

The sound crackled as white smoke rose. Yet the Water Crystal Elder was completely unharmed; the Spider Woman’s potent venom, despite its corrosive strength, failed to do him any real damage.

“Who are you really?”

The Spider Woman’s expression shifted slightly, growing serious. Directly nullifying her venom without so much as a sign of power fluctuation—it meant that the elder relied solely on his physical strength to resist the attack. His cultivation level was unfathomable!

The Water Crystal Elder still said nothing. His eyes remained lifeless, his presence cold and eerie. If not for the fact that he was standing upright, anyone would have mistaken him for an actual corpse. Yet, this “corpse” had effortlessly withstood the Spider Woman’s attack.

“Senior, this woman just now brazenly insulted you, claiming that she could obliterate you with just a flick of her fingers!”

“Senior, if I were in your shoes, I couldn’t tolerate this. You have to put her in her place, teach her a lesson she’ll never forget!”

Li Xiaobai instigated from behind, deliberately fanning the flames of conflict and directing them at the Spider Woman. After all, this woman had been dismissive and arrogant earlier, spouting a wave of belittling remarks. If he could provoke the Water Crystal Elder into a fight, the elder might even manage to subdue her with his mysterious capabilities!

“Seeking death!”

“The speed at which the spatial rift heals has slowed. Do you think you still stand a chance of defeating me?”

The Spider Woman’s figure blurred as she darted forward, not giving the Water Crystal Elder the slightest opportunity. Her hands moved, generating dark green starlight to annihilate him.

A dark green grinding wheel descended from above, slowly revolving and pressing down onto the Water Crystal Elder’s head.

“Crack, crack, crack!”

A series of joints cracked audibly as the Water Crystal Elder’s body twisted into an impossibly grotesque position. His hands bent upward at a bizarre angle and slapped the grinding wheel, shattering it into dust.

Without any dazzling energy or radiant display, the single slap from the Water Crystal Elder obliterated the grinding wheel. The force continued onward, its wind mercilessly striking the Spider Woman’s face, sending her hurtling from the sky to the ground and creating a massive crater.

“What kind of power is this? How could there be such a powerhouse in the Central Origin Realm? With this level of strength, why hasn’t this world been pushed into rejection by higher forces?”

The Spider Woman, stunned, lay on the ground in disbelief. She couldn’t sense any cultivation energy from the elder—only pure physical strength. Yet, she was utterly incapable of defending against it!

“This strength must be at least Triple Transcendence. What method could enable such power to descend to the Lower Realm? It looks like I’ll need to unseal more of my strength!”

The Spider Woman crushed a Formation with her fingers, her aura skyrocketing. Her strength surged rapidly, pushing her cultivation to its absolute limit. The surrounding space warped and destabilized, fracturing and reforming repeatedly. This was the maximum her powers could achieve within this realm; any further unsealing would completely shatter the space, sucking herself and everything else into the Void Turbulence.

“Fight!”

The Spider Woman steadied her mind, forming fist seals and slamming them toward the Water Crystal Elder. The elder responded with his own fists, still utilizing that strangely corpse-like posture devoid of any vitality.

It was as if a corpse was throwing punches, yet the damage was incredible. His punches collided with the Spider Woman’s strikes, engaging her in ferocious combat.

“Spider Combat Technique!”

Eight delicate jade-like hands materialized from behind the Spider Woman, relentlessly unleashing a torrent of attacks against the elder. Each hand carried with it unparalleled force—not only immense physical strength but also a corrosive toxic effect. In an instant, the Water Crystal Elder’s body was riddled with gaping wounds, flesh torn and tattered. He stood motionless, as if dumbfounded. Yet, within mere seconds, the massive holes in his aging body began to heal at an astounding rate, returning to their original state.

“This old man is insane! Lethal injuries mean nothing to him. Go get her!”

Li Xiaobai shouted in awe, his mind racing as he directed a swarm of Godzillas from all directions to converge upon the Spider Woman’s location. He hoped to create chaos and improve the Water Crystal Elder’s chances.

“Get lost!”

The Spider Woman’s temple throbbed with rage. The Water Crystal Elder was proving to be a headache.

With a casual motion, she pressed down on the air around her. A devastating gravitational force descended from above—a pressure belonging exclusively to the Immortal Gods. Under this terrifying weight, everyone besides the Water Crystal Elder, including Saint Realm Godzillas, Li Xiaobai, and the barely-alive Zhang Liancheng, was pinned to the ground, immobilized.

The Immortal God had finally unleashed her fury. She had run out of patience and intended to end this slaughter with overwhelming force.

“It seems to be nothing more than a walking corpse, yet there’s undeniably a terrifying level of power sealed within its flesh. However, it lacks the critical component—willpower!”

“A mindless being capable of fighting solely on instinct and still achieving this level of prowess—it truly commands respect.”

The Spider Woman’s gaze was icy, her beautiful eyes locked onto the Water Crystal Elder as she spoke each word with chilling precision. From a purely strength-based perspective, she had acknowledged him. This was someone strong enough to establish a foothold in the Immortal Gods Realm—and having remained hidden in the Central Origin Realm was itself a testament to his skill.

The Water Crystal Elder gave no reaction. With a subtle curl of his finger, Li Xiaobai’s storage ring shattered instantly, scattering countless treasures and resources. Among them, a long blade flew into his hand. Without hesitation, he swung the blade at the Spider Woman, unleashing boundless, domineering slashes that transformed into a massive web, sealing all paths of retreat.

The Spider Woman nodded lightly, her expression still indifferent. “It seems you were a renowned warrior in life—trapped now in chaos, your mind shattered, yet your blade techniques remain immaculate. I can only admire this!”
