Capítulo 1831: Chapter 1858: Two Lunatics
“Immortal, behave yourself and don’t try any tricks.”
Yu Huan Shui released the constraints of the Gate of Destiny, speaking indifferently.
In the blink of an eye, two people were missing from the team.
“That altar…”
Immortal Hu shivered with fear; her plan hadn’t succeeded as thoroughly as she’d hoped, only banishing two insignificant figures while the truly ruthless characters remained by her side.
“Hand over the altar and I won’t kill you!”
Li Xiaobai waved his hand dismissively: “This thing is your ransom; you should be grateful there happens to be an altar here.”
“I understand now…”
Immortal Hu lowered her head in silence and took out a flying sword, carrying the two of them through the sky.
“Three Talents Domain!”
Yu Huan Shui blurted out, scanning the surrounding scenery.
Li Xiaobai asked, “Home already?”
“Not quite, our old base is in the Eight Desolates Domain.”
Yu Huan Shui replied.
“Senior’s home is in the Eight Desolates Domain?”
Immortal Hu couldn’t help but ask. The Eight Desolates Domain was the second most dangerous area in the Boundary Sea. The danger there was not due to natural disasters, but human calamities. It’s said that cultivators in the Eight Desolates Domain kill without remorse, and just making eye contact with someone could be the cause of your death.
The elders of our clan used to say that once there was an infamous person in the Eight Desolates Domain, whose face was so ugly that a cultivator stared at him more than a few times and ended up losing his life as a result. After this incident spread, no one dared to look directly at that person again. But that person wasn’t pleased with this and believed that people avoiding eye contact were showing disrespect, so he killed everyone who walked with their heads down in his presence.
This is just one of the many legends; who knows how many other lunatics there are in the Eight Desolates Domain. The Hehuan Sect forbids its disciples to go to the Eight Desolates Domain.
“I, Yu, am not exceptional, merely the top figure in the Eight Desolates Domain!”
Yu Huan Shui said proudly, with his hands behind his back.
Immortal Hu swallowed hard and fell silent. Indeed, he was a lunatic, a true product of the Eight Desolates Domain.
Immortal Hu: “What are you two planning next, just follow me into the sect like this?”
“Find a Teleportation Formation and head to my old base.”
Yu Huan Shui said.
“I want to find an Elder to beat me up. Mr. Yu, are you at the Elder level?”
Li Xiaobai asked honestly.
“Little brother, are you mocking me?”
“I, Yu, possess overwhelming knowledge and must at least be at the level of a Sect Master; how could a mere Elder match my status?”
Yu Huan Shui glanced at him, not knowing what Li Xiaobai was up to, but instinctively feeling that he had an ulterior motive.
“Come, Mr. Yu, hit me, hit me.”
“Use your calloused hand to give me a smack.”
Li Xiaobai grabbed Yu Huan Shui’s hand and brought it toward himself.
“What is this…”
Yu Huan Shui was stunned.
“Shh, don’t talk, just hit me.”
Li Xiaobai used Yu Huan Shui’s hand to hit himself for a while, yet the System showed no response. It seemed it had to be at the Elder level; Yu Huan Shui’s power far exceeded that of an Elder.
“How does it feel? This is the hand of someone who writes books for the ages, full of talent.”
Moments later, Yu Huan Shui withdrew his hand with a smiling face asking.
Li Xiaobai pouted: “Too rough, I don’t like it, useless.”
Immortal Hu was left speechless in shock nearby. Truly a lunatic, a real product of the Eight Desolates Domain, two crazies!
“We’re at the sect.”
“Why is it so quiet, not a single cultivator in the sky? I remember seeing many cultivators wandering around the Boundary Sea.”
Yu Huan Shui was a bit puzzled, as there were only two guard disciples at the mountain gate.
“It was fine when I left…”
Immortal Hu mused, flying to the mountain gate and looking at those two disciples.
“Has something happened?”
“Why is it so desolate?”
“Senior Sister Hu!”
“Greetings, Senior Sister Hu!”
The two guard disciples bowed with awe written all over their faces.
“Reporting to Senior Sister, a disciple of our Hehuan Sect has died in the Twin Platforms Valley. The Sect Master took the Elders there to fight.”
“Who died?”
“The disciple isn’t very clear, seems to be a miscellaneous disciple named Zhang San.”
Immortal Hu nodded: “That’s standard procedure. I brought two friends; let us enter the sect first, and then report to the Elders later.”
“As you wish, Senior Sister!”
Li Xiaobai and Yu Huan Shui exchanged glances and followed into the sect.
“It’s my first time in Hehuan Sect,”
Yu Huan Shui remarked. “I thought I had no connection whatsoever with such a colorful sect.”
As they entered, they saw a gigantic statue of a beautiful woman, unclothed and seemingly dancing gracefully.
Surrounding her were several male statues, kneeling with one knee in a worshipping pose.
Immortal Hu commented: “God of Entertainment.”
Li Xiaobai: “Impressive.”
“Did your Sect Master really rush to fight someone over a mere miscellaneous disciple?”
“The Sect Master has a true nature, treating disciples with warmth like a spring breeze, while treating enemies as harshly as a cold wind.”
Speaking of her sect, Immortal Hu was full of praise. This young girl had a strong sense of belonging to the sect, proud of her status as a talented disciple of the Hehuan Sect.
“Where is the Teleportation Formation?”
“Activating it requires Elder Fang from the Scripture Pavilion; he’s gone with the Sect Master to the Twin Platforms Valley and we have to wait for him to return.”
The three of them wandered around the Hehuan Sect, while Yu Huan Shui found everything mundane as he’d seen countless things across the Boundary Sea over the years.
Li Xiaobai kept observing the disciples of the sect, their aura, and their gestures, noting they were unlike anything seen in the Immortal Gods Realm.
If one of these disciples were thrown into the Immortal Gods Realm, they would easily become an Elder.
This is the difference; if I had remained in the Immortal Gods Realm, many twists and turns would still lay ahead before I could reach this level.
“Xian’er, who are these two…”
A streak of light descended, and out stepped a handsome young man with a smiling face.
“My friends.”
Immortal Hu reverted to her usual aloofness and replied indifferently. It was clear she wasn’t fond of this young man.
“Friends?”
“How come I’ve never seen these two, and I heard you went to a remote little star, back so soon?”
The handsome young man cupped his hands and looked at Li Xiaobai: “I am Yang Wei, may I know your name, brother?”
Li Xiaobai was unfazed: “I am Jiang Que.”
Upon hearing this, Immortal Hu’s body shook a little, but she dared not speak much, giving Yang Wei a look, though she didn’t like him, he was the only disciple to approach them proactively. She hoped he understood her hint to seek help from the Sect Elder.
Unfortunately, Yang Wei misunderstood, thinking Immortal Hu wanted him to leave: “So it’s Brother Jiang, where did you come from, let me show you around the wonders of the Hehuan Sect.”
“Yang Wei, what are you doing here, don’t you see I’m catching up with friends? Get going, don’t you need to find Elder Ye?”
Immortal Hu said sharply, almost rolling her eyes in exasperation.
Yang Wei paused: “Xian’er, what’s going on with you today, why would I seek Elder Ye, he’s a Supreme Elder, I’ve only met him once throughout my cultivation.”
“And what’s with your eyes, why keep winking, are you feeling unwell?”
Immortal Hu was speechless, as she keenly sensed two intense murderous intents coming from behind.
“Want to cause trouble?”
“I knew you were up to no good, trying to pass a message through this kid, right?”
“Take her down!”
“Gate of Destiny!”
