Chapter 1 Guardian Angel

The Guardian Angel, like the Knight and Priest, is a job within the Holy Order.

This class itself is proficient in plate armor, providing great defensive power. Add to that healing abilities comparable to Priests and skills that increase defense, and it's common for Guardian Angels to act as MTs (main tanks). However, it's rare to see someone like Ye Xiu, a Guardian Angel who can both tank and heal; that requires a high level of skill. But since he is known as the Glory Textbook, no one doubts he can pull it off.

After dividing into teams, Ye Xiu rummaged through his drawers for account cards, while Chen Guo hurried back to the main city market to find some equipment for the soon-to-be-used Guardian Angel. The others were either buying supplies or repairing equipment, eager to get ready and go for the first kill.

The Guardian Angel needed everyone to give the MT some time to work.

This was a low-level skill below level 20 for the Exorcist class of the Holy Order: Starfall. It was a common technique used by Ye Xiu as a Guardian Angel to pull aggro from the group of monsters.

As for control, Ye Xiu obviously had no problems. After the teammates recovered from those contrasts, they charged in and began their output.

These were just mobs in a five-person dungeon; with their skill level, even with a five-level difference, it wasn't a big deal. Ye Xiu basically didn't have to command; everyone relied on their own skills to handle it with ease. Chen Guo was a little weaker, but she stayed in her lane, bombarding from a distance, and stayed safe.

Everything went smoothly, and any close calls were easily overcome. The one controlling the team's lifeline was Ye Xiu, and as long as health could be restored, no character would fall.

Using healing to solidify aggro was an important part of a Guardian Angel's role as MT. In reality, a high-level team like theirs wasn't really suited for a Guardian Angel as MT, because their individual skills were outstanding, resulting in more dodges and less damage taken, which lightened the healing burden.

In a standard team, a light healing burden was a good thing. But when a Guardian Angel was the MT, sometimes some healing burden was needed, as it compensated for the lack of damage compared to a Knight in generating aggro.
