Angry Banana

The simplified Chinese version of "Son-in-Law" is now available for pre-order. Please check it out!

A little sentimental…

Over the years, things have been quite bumpy regarding the publication of physical books. Many of you may not know that the physical book rights for "Assassin's Shadow" were also authorized long ago, but it coincided with the tightening of domestic publishing regulations the year it was supposed to come out, and it still hasn't been released.

As for "Son-in-Law," the contract was signed in the first year it was uploaded, but the publisher at the time mistakenly thought I was going to write about purely ancient culture, like brothel culture or something. They sent me a large pile of ancient brothel materials. Later, they raised some suggestions, but I said I wanted to write about the process of a dynasty collapsing from extravagance... After some discussion, it never came to fruition. It wasn't until the authorization expired that an editor from Yueduji took the risk to pick it up.

The first five volumes of "Son-in-Law," the simplified Chinese edition, are launching today.

Everyone, I've published books in Taiwan, from "Assassin's Shadow" to "Alienation" to "Son-in-Law." In the past, my books were only available in traditional Chinese, which is printed vertically. Aside from a little sentimental value, it's basically impossible for us to read, so whenever readers asked me where they could buy my books over the years, I didn't know how to answer. Some people went to buy the traditional Chinese version, but I always said it wasn't necessary.

Now, I finally have something I can be proud of.

Currently, the first five volumes of "Son-in-Law" are available for pre-sale on all platforms, including Dangdang, Taobao, Jingdong, Rentian, Shengshijiujiu, Zhiyanpianyu, and Yueduji's flagship store. You should be able to find them by searching.

For this book, the editor maniacally sent me two large boxes of paper. The weight nearly broke my back when I carried them upstairs. They asked me to sign 10,000 signatures. I refused to die, and ultimately signed 5,000, almost breaking my hand. Some people asked me to put a stamp, but I didn't do that in the end. "Angry Banana," all five characters are very difficult to write. I finished writing one signature after another. Honestly, they're very ugly, but they were truly painstakingly written. After finishing, I just wanted to change my pen name directly to "233."

The editor said that the signed editions will be shipped randomly, with a relatively higher probability in the sets.

Personally, I think that getting an ugly signed edition immediately devalues the book. It's very unlucky. Right? The book is so good, so neat and tidy, why let a handsome guy who hasn't practiced calligraphy sign an ugly name on it... But considering that some people have relatively perverse hobbies, so be it…

Here's a promotion: Dear friends, babies, the pre-sale of the book is very important for its future, so if you're thinking about buying it, I hope you can take action immediately and give the publisher some confidence. There will definitely be more than five volumes in this set (the content of the fifth volume should be until the end of the third arc, "Dragon and Snake"). Whether it can be completed depends on how supportive you book lovers are, so I really need to ask for your help.

If you want to talk about the value of this book, I think:

First, this is indeed the first simplified Chinese edition of my books that I've published in so many years. I don't know how many copies are in the first edition, probably not particularly many, and I will write books for many more years, so if you have confidence in my future progress, I think you might as well get a set.

Secondly, the ending of Son-in-Law will definitely add some collectible value to it. It may not be the most classic web novel, but it will definitely be one of the most unique books at that time. I know many readers have repeatedly read this book, partly because… I write too slowly, and partly because I deliberately added many things worth rereading in the book. Since it's worth rereading, I don't think it's a loss to buy the book for home… You see, I've said very shameless things in order to sell books.

So, everyone, it's up to you. Again, pre-sales are very important, I hope everyone can support it as much as possible. I hope it can become the first book you think is worth buying after the start of the year.

That's it. ^_^
