Chapter 208 Meeting Rou Yi Again

After barely escaping that car accident in Tianjing City, I gradually became aware of a problem.

The further I was from crowds, the less likely that feeling of unease would appear; but when I was among people, that feeling would occur frequently.

So, I followed the disguising methods Rouyi had taught me a long time ago, disguising myself and blending into the crowds, so that "my" image would not be exposed. I became a nobody, so that I was both in the crowd and not in the crowd.

This method really worked. Since I did this, the feeling of unease has almost never appeared again.

After disguising myself, I stumbled all the way from Tianjing to the United States as a stowaway.

Actually, I didn't want to stow away. I knew the dangers of it, but I didn't have any documents to prove my identity, nor did I have the objective conditions to reveal my identity, so stowing away was the only way for me to get to the United States.

As for why I wanted to go to the United States, to be honest, I didn't know.

My subconscious told me that I had to find Rouyi and Fatty as soon as possible and then make plans.

Ever since I came out of the desert, I had felt a force driving me. I didn't know what I was doing, but that didn't matter. I had to keep going and complete a set mission.

In this process, I gradually discovered a certain truth under the prompting of uneasiness, a truth hidden under natural and man-made disasters.

After landing in the United States, before finding Rouyi and the others, I had to verify my conjecture first and look for the facts behind the "truth."

...

I didn't know that when I first arrived in the United States, Rouyi and Fatty were still in the Brazilian rainforest, their fate unknown.

After much investigation, I learned that they had been missing for two years. However, at that time, they had already been rescued from the rainforest. Due to limited sources of information, I didn't know which hospital they were being treated in, nor did I know the extent of their injuries and deaths. Besides being anxious, there was nothing I could do.

Right now, I could only wait for them to come out of the hospital and start their activities in society before I could find out their whereabouts and find them.

Heaven never fails those who are determined. Finally, I waited for Rouyi at one of her residences.

I was wearing a baseball cap, watching Rouyi from a distance across the street. Rouyi was driving back from outside. When she got out of the car, she held things she had bought from the supermarket in one hand.

Rouyi hadn't changed much, still looking like when we parted.

I kept hesitating whether to go directly to her. I didn't know if such a sudden appearance would make her a little overwhelmed.

Rather than worrying that Rouyi was not prepared, it was better to say that I had not figured out how to face her.

I wandered around Rouyi's house for a few days and found that Rouyi only came here occasionally. She must have other residences. She went out every morning before dawn, and in the evening, she sometimes came home very early, and sometimes she didn't come home until late at night, feeling that she had a lot of important things to do outside.

Since I had decided to meet, dragging it on was definitely not a good idea.

A few days later, Rouyi came back in the evening, carrying a shopping bag and looking very tired.

When she parked the car and came out of the garage, I went in through the half-covered door and came to her without a sound.

Rouyi was startled when she saw me suddenly appearing in front of her, and almost dropped the shopping bag in her hand.

"You are... what do you want to do!"

Rouyi was very alert, and one of her hands was reaching into her bag, seemingly to touch a gun.

I guessed that Rouyi was frightened by my dirty and ragged clothes and my face-covered appearance. I quickly took off my hat and explained to Rouyi, "It's me, Zhao Chenguang."

I took off my hat and clearly showed my entire face to Rouyi.

I looked into Rouyi's eyes, and her expression changed from fear to surprise, and finally to tears. I could feel the changes in her emotions.

Rouyi dropped the shopping bag in her hand, hugged me tightly, and sobbed, "Wuwuwu, Young Master!"

I also hugged Rouyi tightly, gently patting her back. After being separated for so long, I missed her very much.

We just hugged like that, not even noticing that it was getting dark.

The perfume on her body today smells so good. After taking a moment to savor it, I realized that I was dirty and hadn't taken a bath for several days. I must stink. I gently pushed her away and said apologetically, "I haven't taken a bath or changed clothes for several days. I'm dirty and smelly. I'll make you faint again."

Rouyi seemed to have lost her sense of smell. She smiled through her tears, took my hand and said to me, "I didn't smell anything bad, hahaha."

Rouyi picked up the shopping bag that had fallen on the ground, took me to her home and said, "I bought some very fresh fish today. I'll cook you some fish soup!"
